KC's head spun around once again to look at Mitchell. Was that just her mind playing tricks on her or was he... He was! He was emitting light! She knew there seemed to be something familiar! The only person she knew that could do that was one of the other members of the Defenders of Truth. She would have to check into that.
Luna fought along with the light attack, though she wasn't totally sure where it was coming from. However, she didn't really have time to look. So she just kept going.

The monster roared again, smashing into one of the buildings. Mitchell fired off a light beam again, smashing into the monster's arm.
Mitchell frowned when it hadn't fallen and fired again. the beast staggered back into the water, but then made it's way toward the city again.
(The girls only know of Beacon.)

Spira didn't say anything more, but in an instant with her quick speed she had dodged around the elf and down the hall, taking the stairs three at a time and skipping the last bit to land in a crouch on the floor. She sprinted out of the building, eyes alert and feet quick. She soon came to the source of the sound.

Standing there were three people in dark robes standing over a young woman on the ground. the tallest one's eyes glowed a bright red. The elf came up behind her, "Look out! that's a vampyr!" she glared at the Black Magi, "By Royal Decree, you are to surrender and turn yourselves in for punishment by the law!"
"As if!" The vampyr snickered, "I think I'll have some blood tonight..."
The elven guardian blasted her light spell into the vampyr, who howled in agony as smoke rose from her hood. the Ice spell shot over the young woman on the ground, shielding her from the coming fight.

Spira cursed and ducked behind a bench, silently and unnoticably sprinting around behind them. She watched them for a moment, making sure their attention was on the elf. Silently, she sprinted up and sprang forward, knocking herself solidly into the tallest one, apparently male. She knocked him over, breaking his concentration. She instantly started throwing punches wildly.

"heheh, this one isn't a spellcaster..." The robed figure she was hitting said eerily, as if she wasn't hurting him, "She's one of those from the tech sectors... all oil and logic, no brains."
The Elven guardian attacked with zeal. she tossed something long and black to Spira. it was a sheathed longsword.
"Don't take that from these scum, show them what it means to hurt innocent people!" The elf said, slamming her glowing fist into the vampyr's face, "take that, bloodsucking southmage!"

Spira caught it expertly, memories of one of her oldest friends, more like a big brother to her, teaching her swordplay with a crowbar. He'd once been in a military or something, and was really good at it. She'd learned all he knew.
She pulled the sword from the sheath, springing back into a crouch, looking dangerous with the sword held in an expert grip by her shin. She watched them silently, the look of a predator in her eyes. The instant one moved towards her, she struck out, putting a simply slice across the arm of him. She grinned at him, her golden eyes glinting.

When it cut him the sword flared to life with magical energy, ornate designs along the blade practically burning with blue arcane force. the handle stayed cool, but the blade seemed to be red hot. The cut she'd made glowed brightly, then pulsed, knocking the robed ban into the wall.
"A Guardian blade?! S***!" The man's voice had an edge of terror in it now. the sword she held obviously was brimming with power. It drew the question, if this was the secondary attack for a guardian, what did the Defenders have?
The elf, busy punching the bloodsucking leader senseless called over to Spira, "Careful not to lose that, headquarters doesn't want it's guardians armed with just spells..."

Spira brought the blade down suddenly in a graceful ark, a long slice cutting across the chest of her attacker. He fell instantly.
She didn't say anything to the elf, just setting the blade into the ground and leaning on it as she stared down the third and final of the three.

"Well... Now there were two." A sword slid into the black magi's hand and he deftly spun it to a good stance.

{Oh, I know. She had sensed some of the power within him and it seemed familiar to Beacon's. That's all I meant.}KC growled under her breath about 'that damn creature' as she started back on the offense. Her thoughts of anything else were lost as the battle raged onward, seemingly never-ending. (At least to her, that is.) There had to be a way to rid the city of the beast, there just had to be.

"Why won't this accursed beast die?!" Mitchell snarled. He began what he considered his most dangerous spell, which he always blacked out when using. (meaning he turns into Beacon, who is much stronger spell wise.) He was still charing it when the monster reached the shore. At that moment, he blacked out.

Spira felt a strange calm suddenly settle over her, the weapon comfortable in her hand. She let her hand relax, the sword falling down to hang just slightly in her hand, the tip on the ground. Her eyes closed and her hair blew softly in the breeze. Suddenly her eyes snapped open and she sprang forward with her beautiful speed, attacking the third with an intense skill and vigor that she hadn't had a moment earlier.

The third Black Magi was on the defensive now. "Well this is certainly a surprise! I wasn't expecting an opponent of such skill!" The guardian sword stopped against a dagger he had in his other hand as he pushed his sword to a more advantageous position.

Spira attacked without stopping, leaving small nicks and cuts where his guard had dropped for an instant. She delivered and angry slice along the arm, rendering it almost useless. She slid her foot back and brought the sword up over her head, holding herself in a martial-art like form, ready to attack or defend if need be.

Elijah kicked the aluminum can very hard, and it skittered down the abandoned road with a clanging sound. He sighed and looked up at the smoky, clouded sky. An angry scowl set on his face and he shoved his hands into his pockets, walking grumpily down the road. He knew that at any moment some stupid guard could spring out of no where and try and shoot him, but he really didn't care. He didn't know where Spira was, though he knew she had escaped the patrol for curfew. She'd practically just disappeared into thin air.
