Do you think skills in the Pikmin games (example: keeping your Pikmin alive, and with you, making sure oponents do not damage your Pikmin while they're attacking them, and multi tasking(getting some Pikmin on everyone and still being able to save them)) can apply to Olimar in SSBB? If they can, then I will pwn as Olimar (I've already made him my #1 main).

From what I can tell by the videos, he looks pretty simple compared to what I was expecting from an advanced character. Most reasons people actually lost with him were: Don't pluck Pikmin when running low (or have the chance), Don't whistle for thrown Pikmin before using the Pikmin chain, or they use the Pikmin throw too much (thus becoming repetitive and predictable).
Not saying that he absolutely would have won if these people fixed their mistakes, but it would've helped to avoid unnecessary damage/losses.
But maybe it was too difficult for these people to think of this stuff in the heat of battle? rolleyes

Super Smash Brothers... Probably would be. I mean, as Olimar, you have to worry a lot about the Pikmin, as not having enough of them just like in the games wouldn't be a good thing.

xXxBusterxXx Olimer seems kinda sucky on 1 on 1s but pretty good on FFAs. Why, because of his FS? If you do it when everyone's in the middle, they DIE.

Olimar is a really fun character to play as. Horrible on some of the stages I have created, though. Olimar is one character where you actually have to think when using him. I love his yellow Pikmin. Too bad only five attacks actually do anything without Pikmin.

His aerials and smashes are great. Couldn't live without them. I've noticed that it seems a lot more difficult to use any of my previous originals. Now I main Pikachu and Olimar, and I have Lucas and Game & Watch as secondaries. neutral
