Oh nooo, that wasn't what I meant! Keep posting the update reminders for sure, it helps to keep the thread up when something's happening so we can chat about it! Besides, what I meant to say was that I just tacked in the update about the release date now, so others could know about when to start checking. :]
I think the same thing. XD For sure, the kissing friends and all silliness, and especially that she's not really into the right guy or hasn't found him...maybe there's room to hope there won't be just one main pairing potential we're following in this series~

XD That is an awesome feeling, really, but only if you didn't wait in agony until you had more chapters to read. I like it best when I forget something for a while and go back to it to find all kinds of great stuff released in the meantime. :]
And yesssss, well, it's probably been kind of vaguely obvious since they were introduced. I mean, assuming that the main pairing to follow is Akko and Mari, it stands to reason that fans will target Sugi and Tamamin as a potential secondary pairing.
I think they'd be cute together, too! There is a lot of subtexty hinting, although it can also be taken as just friendship. Yuri-vision?

told the guy from the train station that her boyfriend will be coming to pick her up. Instead, she called over the ditzy Tamamin! She's unexpectedly sweet for someone who's so carefree. I mean, seriously... Who could not think that there's something that's going to develop between them? Sugi is beautiful, Tamamin is cute... It's somewhat of a classic Yuri pairing, only without the "Onee-sama" aura tied to it. That is, if they'll get together, of course.
Morinaga is completely obsessed AND in love with Yuri, so I'm betting it'll happen.
On the other hand, I hope it won't drag on for more than two years worth of chapters. I mean, she's such a goddamn troll, that if GF wasn't such a refreshing and wonderful read, I woulda trashed it on chapter 26.. Or was it 27? Ah well.

Hahaha, yes! There are so many cute moments like that in the series.
*SPOILER* I think my favorite was their talk over who might be Sugi's prince, though. The whole chapter was pretty cute and funny, and the discussion on how she wasn't finding the right guy--plus the sudden focus on Sugi rather than the star couple--made me start wondering if that pairing would come up at some point.

Goodness, she does drag her stuff out though, doesn't she? XD But I think it's all in good fun, and perhaps because the comic is only monthly, too. If the comics had been released weekly instead, her work wouldn't be so agonizing to read. Then it'd seem like she was moving at a pretty fair pace!
If only it were weekly, or even every two weeks or something. :[
But you're right, she seems to be into yuri and this stuff, so maybe she will make it happen <3

As a side note, I really kind of also like that this series has such cute styles fashion-wise in it. I think one thing I found really appealing about both Hayashiya Shizuru's work and Morinaga Milk's was the fact that they obviously kept up on fashion and pop culture. It's fun for me to check out the cute looks and the obviously fresh styles (not just fetish or yuri stereotyped "old" fashions).
I heard that both of these artists are supposedly cute, fashionable girls as well. =P

wow, im so glad i forgot about this now. i read all the chapters i missed straight through, and cant imagine reading it in parts. i wouldve died waiting for updates Dx
so i got through the whole school trip. ugh, the pair is too cute 4laugh im getting cavities xP lol@ the part where they were pretending to be sleeping and akko got all up on mari trying to get up xD!!
oh, and how seagulls are so fascinating to them.
when they finally got together, i was like FINALLY! it took a billion days plus one of waiting >.<
i want to match cell phone straps with someone now D:

Seems to be? She loves Yuri! She adores it! You could tell because of that picture she drew of a cat with a red bow on top while holding what seems to be a sake bottle, and a bubble with the words, "Ghad... I love Yuri!" The cat was also blushing and blowing steam out of its nose and had spirals for eyes... She's looney about it.
Although she's probably dragging the whole story on for so long is because she too, probably has noticed the lack of girlxgirl stories in the media. As a loyal follower and magnificent artist of the genre, why not show your love for it by creating a Yuri story that spans... what? 10 volumes, perhaps?
And OMG! I love Shizuru! :0 Her comedy style in her mangas just makes my tummy hurt from laughing so hard. I especially am a great fan of her current work, HayatexBlade. I think I've busted a spleen or two from going "Bwahahah" in the middle of the night. But even though the softcore Yuri is explicit, you really can't take it seriously, am I right? xD I mean, how could you when every time Jun or Hayate expresses their "love" for Ayana, she always retaliates with a sharp comeback, a punch to the face, or even both?
And yes, I've noticed the abounding amount of fashion emphasis in their mangas. But what can you expect? They're shoujo Yuri manga, so I'm not surprised. Ikeda's Sasameki Koto is awesome, but you don't see them in different kinds of clothing aside from a school uniform, bathing suit and karate gi because he's a guy, although I think he could have made the characters fashionable, if he wanted to.

Maki Casanova- The cat with the red bow is the way she draws herself, I think. XD Come to think of it, you're right! I don't remember reading that, but now I remember her saying she loved doing Girl Friends because she wished she could draw more yuri or something.
I totally love Hayashiya's work too! I didn't get far in Hayate X Blade so far, but I loved SSS.
Well, I wouldn't say I've noticed much of a fashion emphasis--I thought that was fairly unique to these two mangaka (so far, anyway, in my experience). I feel like a lot of yuri mangaka may not be as fashion-conscious or as caught up with current fashion, especially guys, since they may not wear it themselves. XD That's one of the reasons I love these artists so much.
Aoi- XD Damn right I would. I LOVE the styles! I keep looking at things and trying to figure out ways to put them together. There are so many great looks in these~ Julia and Akko both have had a few styles I liked, I think.
I'm totally making that the new poll. I should change these now and then, maybe...
