Kell had felt the pull out into the actual city of Haven, but he couldn't understand it. He was born and raised in the fields, and had never left it. But this pull was unlike anything he had ever felt before. He just had to follow it... to see where it led!
His hooves clopped onto the cobblestone as he walked slowly to this urging. When he was in sight of a small boy and a woman, he stopped. The feeling led to the boy... how strange...

There is no one raised in Haven who doesn't know what a white horse with blue eyes roaming the streets meant. Setu is no exception, seeing the companion heading toward him Setu began looking around to see if there was anyone nearby who the companion could be heading toward, seeing nobody around Setu faced foward once again and got caught in the companions gaze. 'Wow so blue' he thought.

Kizzy stood on the street. Going to the palace had seemed like a good idea but how was she going to get in? Where would she stay once she got there? She really should have thought this through better but it was too late now. Down the street she noticed a Companion heading straight for a young child. If only that could be her she thought wistfully.

Kell walked up to the small boy and bowed his head gently, not wishing to startle him any more than he'd have to.
::Good evening, young one:: he mindsent with the feel of generous humility. ::There is much we need to discuss.
Shahi smiled at the two, and took a step back. She only wished to watched this transaction, but not to interfere.
(Man... it's awkward not having her already chosen as well ><)

Gulping visibly Setu could only nod his head in agreement due to his shock. Regaining a little composure Setu managed to speak, more of a squeak actually, "Discuss? With me?"
(yeah, it's a little weird having to have a seperate person for the companion and herald since that means you can have full heralds without a companion, but it does make sense in an "encourage the children to play with each other" way)

Kell did the best thing he could to smile and try to encourage the young boy. ::I am sure you know what I am here for, chosen:: he thought to him kindly. ::I have chosen you, and I intend to follow through. You will become a great Herald, my chosen, and I wish to help you throughout your path::

When he heard that he was Kell's chosen, Setu became overwhelmed by the feelings of love and acceptance, and a certain knowledge that no matter what he would always have someone there for him.
"Thank you, I hope I won't dissapoint you. What do we need to do now? And can I talk to you in your head, like you do mine?" Setu said quite serious.

Shahi smiled at what she saw. "I think it might be best if you came with me, Setu. I'll be going to the castle, and we can get you a proper teacher." She said this all with a pure smile, one that almost cut right through you.
Kell nodded, giving Setu the feeling of warmth, love, and acceptance.

Ondren's back drew taught, arrow-straight, the moment he rode through the Gates of Haven. It had been quite some time since he'd been back, but then Haven never really had been 'home.' Well, it would be now, anyways. For quite some time. Due to the recent influx of Heraldic trainees, Ondren had been called back to Haven to teach at the Collegia. Why? Well Ondren would be damned if he knew. He just hoped the Dean knew what he was doing. ::It's too late to turn back now, isn't it?:: Ondren mindspoke to his Companion.
