Hello, my name is IAB. I have been learning the basics of healing with natural herbs. My great grandmother taught me when I was younger, up until the day she died, sadly, I have forgotten her teachings but now struggle on to remember and make her proud.

I am quite gifted in certain areas of herbology and am hoping to share what I know with everyone here.

Hello, I'm Nicole, and I'm 15. Currently, I'm living in Manitoba, and I have been for my entire life, but I'm actually thinking about moving out of province once I'm out of school. I'm basically really interested in herbs and healing with herbs like most of you are and I really just need to learn whatever I can because I feel it's something that a lot of people should know and it's probably really helpful in everyday life. Also, I've kind of had my thoughts on opening a little shop wherever I move to if the place doesn't have one already (if I think it's a good idea that is). Anyway, I guess taht's a little bit about me. Nice to see everyone. ^_^

It seems that a lot of natural medicine interested people are from outside the US. Is it just because it's more accepted outside the borders?

Hullo everyone! I'm uv~pansy, and I'm in my 20s living in the upper midwest (US). I was on Gaia last year but until a recent software update my computer couldn't really handle the site changes that were made last summer.

IRL I do sciencey things with plants, but I am really interested in herbalism/medicinal plants.

Hiiii! whee
Um, I've only recently started getting into Herbalism and stuff, but it's always been a sort of romantic facination with me. I'm just trying to learn the basic properties of some common herbs right now, and I've only put my knowledge to use, like, once. I live in Texas, and it's okay. confused
Um, my Religion is big to me, and I'm a crazy tradionalist Roman Catholic! surprised
But, that does not mean that I am a crazy bigot/homophobic/hateful/narrow-minded/republican(lol an insult in our house)/anything else you may be worried about. biggrin I plan on being a Nun after colledge, and I really hope that I would be the one that takes care of he Convent's garden... sweatdrop heart
Nice to meet you all.

One is toxic, one isn't. A good rule of thumb...

"Never eat Shippo's feet."

Sagebrush looks like little tiny Shippo feet. Sage has big, lovely leaves.

It amused the crap out of my road-trip partners, as I walk through sagebrushy areas singing about the feet of a tiny cartoon kitsune. XD

Hello everyone. I am 20 years old and live in every-weather-you-can-think-of-in-the-space-of-5-minutes Colorado. My family owns a ranch/farm out here so you could say that raising plants and animals is in my blood. I got interested in the medicinal use for plants after I had a real bad accident and refused to take perscription pain meds. I always found gardening very soothing after a hard day, so it wasn't a very large jump to put the two togeather.

Good to have you. I'm Kyoki, the captain, and I think things might pick up around here now that it's getting closer to spring-time. I know the west coast is finally getting weather that will allow for digging in the dirt!
