"What the..." rats spoke out bluntly while looking around quickly and sharply... who whould be stupid enough to go looking for her?... the glimps of a mist moving away from around the barrier caught rats attenshion quickly, waching what looke to be souls filled with hate and sarrow flow around quickly like lighting soon taking from into a snake lke shape that struck fear even in rats, seeing this dark shadow of fear starting to fly it way over to her she tryed to go back inside of the barrier, but she failed, there was too much darkness in the air and the barrier wasn't about to let anyone in. dark or light in heart... seeing no other way around this massive snake like thing, she pulled free from her back a long sharp kitana that reeked of war and old forgotton battles as well as had a mist of evil all it's own about it... and with this sword in hand she charged into battle with this unknown beast.*

She was lucky that Dread had not yet materialised into a corporeal form, or her body would be failing her. However, that Dread had targeted her at all was the heralding of her doom.
The katana was of little help, merely slicing through the mist all along the snakelike thing's long body, who then expanded outwards. Rats became wrapped in a cloud of Dread that obscured her vision of her surroundings. The needle-teeth proceeded to reshape themselves into an odd grimace- or a horizontal ring, pointy ends all facing towards her neck, so that if she tries to flee they would pierce her throat from every direction. Terrifying screams and ear-shattering cries of thousands of the tormented echoed dizzyingly in her head, as Dread started sucking out the terror of her soul, bit by bit...
(damn, mist-type enemies are so impossible to take care of xD;; )

*rats bearly knew what hit her, the mist had her blind and traped. the first thing she tryed to do was work her way free but with each little movement it cut her making her trickle with blood. oddly though she didn't seem all that scare, mostly just ticked off.. the only fear she seemed to have was from the idea of losing this body. wich seemed to only bring on more anger. getting more and more unhappy about being traped her body pulsed with dark enegry. clearly she was differint from star as she had much anger in her heart and unlike star had little to no idea what was going on due to the fact she lacke the great knowlage that star has* "Gah! let go of me you replusive spirit!" *rats yelled out in anger, still trying to twist arund t get free*

Seeing as the fear was not great enough to consume her entirely, the mist suddenly recoiled, as if obeying her command- however, it was far from so. The needles melted and dissipated out of the air, and Dread commenced to materialise... it would not matter if she ran now. She couldn't escape from him any longer. A turbulent blackening and compressing of the miasma showed that something terrible was about to appear...
(...I'm kind of feeling sorry for Rats now ;w;
Anyhow, her body should fail her (stop responding) out of instinct once Dread is materialised and looks at her in the eyes o.O;; )

*Rats's body trembled abit as if it where shot over and over again in each of it's main nerves. she clinched her hands, growling as she looked dead on into the mist with her bright yellow eyes ready to fight at any given moment. in her mind she could bearly keep up with what was going on around her. the contless draw backs of having a halo build her a body of her own that she wasn't even used to using yet... running mostly on anger and frustration as she aimed to attack the mist befor her that was starting to compress it's self*
(xD -gives mythee the "Most evil person in the realm" award-)

(HO YEAH! TREMBLE BENEATH MY THRONE OF EVIL, MORTALS! rofl
...I think I'll do a comic of Dread and Rats battle 8D I'll do the lineart, someone else will color, and someone else can do the text! Or something xD)
Finally, as Dread's form took shape, a grin upon his face, he let out a slow breath- like a long sigh, filled with evil intent- that echoed silently as if in great caverns beneath the earth. He licked the sides of his jaws with a long snakelike tongue, anticipating the meal. He looked like some kind of putrid animated carcass, exhuming an air of plague, red markings like blood painted on his skeletal body whose hue was of a sickening, frozen dark blue. Wings made of ghostly bones glowed faintly behind his back. He truly gave the impression of a primal entity of fear, emerged from the long buried instincts of every living organism- he was deformity. He was putrefaction- rot. He was plague. He was death. And most of all, he was Dread.
He had come for Her.
Slowly, his eyes opened. She could do nothing against him now. As their fixed gaze widened, her body twisted, contorted, and fell into disrepair- for dread of being consumed by that all-devouring emptiness...

*rats dash to dread as he took form aiming to attack dread with just her body alone but the moment befor she could strike him thier eyes locked into place.tand it her body gave out from under her as it all the life had been Rasts didn't understand it she felt her body completly give out and drop to the ground like all the life force had been sucked from her. but she felt just fine... from her limp bpdy the only thing that looked alive was her bright yellow eyes wich seemed to show thier first signs of fear as rats was trying to flee from this worthless body... but couldn't....*

Dread approached slowly, his gaze still fixed on Rats' like a snake's leer on a mouse pun intended . He stood right above her, grin widening as he observed that the hunt was over and the feast was ready. He wanted more fear from her, more pain- he would rip her apart piece by piece and make her soul cry out in agony. His jaw opened wide, and contemplating but for a moment the exquisite pleasure that was before him, he sunk his fangs into her and ripped her stomach open...

(wait what?!... -inches away from Mythee- you ARE evil xD no such things happen here! altough with the very deep and bloody rp's that have been going around I need put a rating thing on the guild.... you know what... I think I just did ^ ^;;; ) *Rats Screamed out in pain, the first time she had really felt true pain of her own. wich in turn made her start to black out abit her mind filled with the pain and fear of times long ago when star and rats where more less one person and still nothing more then a child, learning the truth of what they where. and the fear and pain of the contless who tryed to remove them as well as the times they tryed to remove thier selfs... in the pit of her mind fears she didn't even know she had where starting to break free* (bah, I should have someone save her eh? xDD -knows the pefect one to save her too xD or well at lest try, if not I think I'll drag emptyness into this)  Guild Rated M For Mature Role plays May contain:

((Yep. But if she stays in that body, unless there is a miraculous person who can revive and heal her after the thirty minutes or so it should take for her body to die, she will die. So um, we need her out and fast. xD
If you want I can bring Mythee here (it would make sense too because sensing such violent emotions she will doubtlessly come to feed on it)... Oh, or Sardine who was following Dread could finally arrive, and that would either engage them in another battle or make Dread go away because he knows that it would to be dangerous to kill Sardonyx (who has the greater part of their shared soul) right now. But it seems you can take care of it yourself, right? 3nodding ))
The monster swallowed the fear, sucking up ever more from his prey. It was tainted with sorrow, and rage, and pain... He relished it, and in his frenzy of hungering for more, ripped off her legs one by one and sunk his teeth deep into the flesh of her neck.
((Okay YEAH it's really time to save her here or she dies 8DDDD;;

(yea don't you love that? Npc's controling you rather then you controling them? xDD I'm getting emptyness, as toku whould half felt something odd going on by now and he his sending him, you could bring one of the others make for nice big battle :3 Or as I say it ~any way the wind blows)
*rats seemed to be mostly a rag doll by this time, the pain flowing in her body like a poision, her mind swollowed by fear to the point where she couldn't flee this poorly made body that was made to be a mimic of star's made from halo magic....*
*mean while Emptyness had pushed his own way out from the berrer his mother telling him that toku wanted him to take a look around the area that somthing wasn't settling right in the Air. and steping into the open area that was around the lake of the high star dragon palace, it wasn't even a moment befor emptyness could smell the blood in the air, he growled befor looking around with sharp eyes dashing around the lake to find the sorce of the sent*
(Ohh did I forget to menshion. Grim, the collector of lost souls, is curently Mortal? so the chance for say dead people or dragons getting sent to the under world is low, but the odds of them turning into demons is High :3)

((Do you mean Rats or Emptiness could turn into emons? o.O;; Anyways, um, tell me what is supposed to happen with Emptiness, or the only thing that Dread would do is try to eat up Emptiness as well and I'm not sure if I can prevent that not knowing what will happen TwT
Oh, and if Emptiness has a body, PLEASE don't make him look into Dread's eyes, PLEAAAASE, I don't want Dread to be ripping up everyone who comes along TwT;;; ))
Emptiness soon came upon the gruesome scene, of the monstrous thing tearing a thoroughly defigured Rats to shreds. She was going to die soon... For some reason, intermingled with Dread's terrible aura, he could recognise some of his father, Sardonyx. And even, perhaps, some of himself... Something in Dread's soul called to something in his own, as if they were family.

(not sure.. at very lest run and get help? xD well the underworld is made for souls who are lost and can't make it to the after life because if they become upset or unstable they can turn into demons and hurt living people. it makes for good rp when random demons come into play or in case of one of ym dragons. play in the ballance of becoming evil.. or something life that xD)
*Empyiness knew for sure it was rats, the black hair and eyes seemed to fit... he was kinda half temped to turn away. the darkness that was in star's heart whould die whould it not?.. the thought somehow didn't settle well with him and he soon started to seek around for something, anything befor finding a rock, and throwing it at dread as if it gain away his attenshion. his mind calling out to toku, who odds are was lisoning for him*

The attack turned out to be ineffective, for the rock thrown at Dread passed through him- part of Dread's body had unmaterialised by itself. However, it had not been a total waste of effort, because Dread's attention was redirected to Emptiness. Slowly, his head turned to see this obtacle to his play. (SURELY EMPTINESS IS GOING TO LOOK AWAY BECAUSE I REALLY DON'T WANT HIM TO END UP LIKE RATS KTHNX xDD)

*emptyness looked down but only for a hair of a moment befor quickly turning away* "Stupid stupid" *he hit his forhead befor darting off, knowing he might be the next on the much list.*
*mean while toku had gotton the Idea from emptyness that things where as he feared outside of the berrier, and how he too was on his way odds are to give emptyness and rats bolth...*
