Bane waited until Sage was out of the house and a safe distance away from the house before he turned away and concentrated his energy on a particular task. Within moments, every light in the neighborhodd closest to the Renford mansion flickered and went out. Soon after that, a large roar ripped through the silence as the house suddenly exploded into flames and large debris. The neighborhood woke with the sounds of dogs barking, car alarms set opff by the blast, and women screaming for the fire department. In the cover of the trees, Bane stood next to Sage, his pearl colored mask glowing eerily in the light of the fire. I have chosen my path tonight... He spoke softly before turning and fading into the shadows.

Sage watched the flames dance for a moment before looking down at Alex's sleeping face, his features softed as he smoothed back her hair tracing the side of her face. Yes they both had chosen a path for themselves tonight, and there was no going back.
When Sage had reached his car he set her in his car, he wrapped his jacket around her form and grabbed his jeans from the car. Shifting to his human form he got in and started the car. Once inside he could tell his mother was on her way inside from the back so he waited for her.
She did not say anything as she took in the sight of her son and his mate, his look and scent was all she needed to know. "Lets get her looked at and to bed."

Alex slowly opened her eyes, she felt something cool on her neck. Vaguely she could feel Sage, "Sage?" her voice was thick with sleep and sounded like she was unsure if she was awake or not.

Chibi_Maru-chan Alex slowly opened her eyes, she felt something cool on her neck. Vaguely she could feel Sage, "Sage?" her voice was thick with sleep and sounded like she was unsure if she was awake or not. he said as he sat next to her brushing back her hair as she turned her head towards him. "You've been out for quiet a while, its about 4am."

Orim_Daeth "I'm here," he said as he sat next to her brushing back her hair as she turned her head towards him. "You've been out for quiet a while, its about 4am." She sat up slowly a shap twing from her neck cause her to put her hand over feeling a bandage on part of it. "What happened?," with her hand still rest over the bandage she leaned into Sage. "I just remeber being woken up by some vampire....and then waking up here."

He saved your life...
Bane's voice drifted from the wall behind Sage. He moved forward and bowed to her. The vampire you speak of is dead along with his master and the house he lived in. He will trouble you no longer although I cannot truly say the same for the rest of his family... He fell silent and watched Alex's face for any reaction.

Alex jumped in suprise at the voice, but a twinge in her neck and a wave of dizziness caused her to blink and grimice. "I was assuming that, and guessing you helped...wanted some details and I'm guessing this wound is a vampire bite?" Even though she wanted to be polite and sit up to face Banes she felt to tired to stay sitting up and leaned against Sage once more. "The Night World people will be after you now?"

Sage's brow creased with worry as he felt her discomfert and began to rub her back in a soothing gesture. "With what happened to the masion, I don't think they will think of werewolves. But just incase mom and the others are keeping their ears open. As for the bite, it seems he took about a pint from you. Thats what the dizziness is from, as for the discomfert, mom put some salve on it to make it heal up." Turning his head slightly so that he could see Bane from the corner of his eye, "ANd I know I should have said this earlier, but Thank you."

Bane stepped forward a few fett towards the bed and kneeled in front of Sage. "There is no need for gratitude. The vampire had it coming to him sooner or later and," he glanced at Alex again. "It would have been better sooner than too late." He shrugged and straightened. "You need rest, young one, or you will worry your mate..."

Genju dodged left as he fired a burst of potent foxfire into the "dragon's" face. The male roared, clawing at his eyes, giving the nine-tailed hero enough time to draw his sword and end the odd creature's existance. He frowned to himself as he reverted to human form.> This is most troubling. And what was that explosion earlier? Hm...

Dawn sipped from her wineglass and frowned as she leaned forward in her chair. It was in the early hours of the morning and Deidra, Tasuki, and her self were sitting at the dinner table discussing the 'party' they were originally planning to crash until Dawn received news of the fire. In front of them sat empty wine glasses next to small untouched bowls of snacks they had mucnhed on while talking. She glanced at Deidra who was nodding off and smacked the table causing her sister to twitch and nearly fall out of her chair. "This is no time to be sleeping yet, idiot. The Renford's house is now in smouldering ruins and we don't know if Ash is still alive or not." Her mouth turned grim. "although, I'd personally love for it to have been for the worse for our little vampire friend..." Her mouth curled into a sneer.

Damn. I still don't have enough power back to get anything. I only kow of two ways to get info on this. One - we ask the Nights, but that is out of the question. Duh. Two: We find Genju and see if his Daybreak contacts have anything for us. Uwah...and I think sleep should be somehwere on the itinerary as well...
