"So I am you elf now, am I?" Nelphean laughed as his voice just appeared to slowly grow closer. "Be that as it may, I-" The voice paused. "Ok, yeah, that about sums the relationship. I am your elf." The warmth of his hands droped on Bastet's shoulders', thumbs slowly massaging her shoulder blades.
(Unseen, unsmelt, and only his voice herd.)

Bastet laughed at Nelphean's reaction, "Well, if it makes you feel any better, I am your cat." She could not help but think about the pride conversation again. Turning her head at his touch, she heard his voice but his form was hidden. "Still hiding?" She reached her hands up and placed them on top of his as she leaned back some.

"If only they couldn't see me..." Nelphean's illusion dispelled, and the elf appeared behind Bastet. "Hidding I was, but not from any you have know... That silly mage wont leave me alone..."
"Are we all happy today?"

He watched, and remained silent for the most part. there was a sadness to his eyes, but not his own. it was that of hundreds of other lives, some that had wives they'd lost, or husbands, or children. He gave his tell tale feline yawn, and returned his mind to bastet's questions.
"Cymarron did not play with Cymarron's food..Cymarron Hunted. the kills where quick, mostly. some Prey put up a good fight. but the places Cymarron cannot go are in the Manor. there are doors Cymarron could not open, others Cymarron felt best to not intrude upon, since the scent was only faint."
"Elves were not a favorite Hunt. Cymarron had a packmate who was an Elf, and Cymarron and he had many good hunts. Cymarron's favorite hunt was other Vah, and the Ogres."

She made a face like she was thinking about it, "Hm, let me see. I helped crush a man's pride, talked of the particulars of eating children, and was witness to something that could possible anger Aurahkah depending on her mood." She gestured to the ruined tree. "So yeah, I am fairly happy. How are you today my dear Nelphean? Not being left alone does not sound fun."
She listened to Cymarron thinking that it was good news, she hoped anyway. "I guess you must wait for your hunt to present itself. But what if she is aware of you?"

"Cyrmarron Ogrebane."
"Kellendel only has the best intentions, but that merry elf can't leave well enough alone. He wants my extensive knowledge..."
"Today I am free from some stress, as it appears I am chrismatic enough to draw brave warriors from the ends of the planes to here in the time of need, or there really is a god." Nelphean released Bastet from his affectionate grip.
"What brings a mighty hunter such as yourself to these fair wall, good Cyrmarron?"
"I am Nelphean."

"The ancestors tell Cymarron she is not. She does not think anyone knows of her Hunt...this hunt was shameful or an indulgence she did not want others to know. and if this one knew Cymarron was here for her, why would she still be here?"
He sniffed the air, takign in this other's scent and marking it for future referance. Indeed this manor was becoming the den to a most interesting pack. He scratched around his collar and behind his ears, flicking them once he was done and keeping his unwavering gaze on the couple near him.

"I foresee a great deal of pain and suffering lingering in that glance of yours..."
"And your eyes Bastet, the sweet," He added, "I see a great deal of anticipation."
"Does anyone know when the next lunar eclipse will be? If I can harness the energies created by that perticular event, I can build a generator that can produce a qquantity of energy equal to that of the sun itself. Think about the risks I would be taking, the damage from an accident might whip the manor of the face of this plane, and drag it into another... That would be fun... unless that plane was my homeland, and we would get to watch the trials and tribulations of the Dark Powers augmenting our beloved friends, and see how a dark lord ravages our home..."
"Maybe I should reconsider this plan... I really should spend less time reading these silly science books... Their laws and limitations are really dreary to my acient mind."
"Have you seen Snow?"

Bastet watched the recognition and sat comfortably thinking on the conversation. "Hey, I will have you know there are many gods, at least that is what I have been told forever." She shrugged, yes he was charismatic indeed.
Her ears perked up in question at his insane idea. "Have I told you that you have too much time in your hands? And though it would undoubtedly be fun and interesting, it could also be death. Risks can be fun. Why do you wish to visit another plane?" The smile came back, "I am only expecting everything, and no I have not seen Snow."
Then her mind turned on Cymarron's question, "If she runs, she would know you to follow. Mayhap she wants to stay in this Manor for protection?"

"Could those gods ever allow something as evil as the Grey Plane to exist?" THe elf whispered in response, " A place where everyone bares a great burden, or an ancient curse, or the taint of the greatest evils..."
"Who is a she?"

"Yes actually. They let everything else in the world happen, so an atrocity such as that would exsist. But can that truly be put in the same boat as free will?" Hm, another thing to ponder about in bored hours. With a flick of her tail she sat closer to Nelphean and leaned on him.

"Nothing has lead me to belive that their is any divinity beyond what I have herd screamed from the breaths of denizens of hell."
"Divine beings, are plausable, not necessary. But the proff of their existance is overwhelming, as I have discovered recently that I have stood in the presence of one of the evil dieties."
"I have seen a god, and am not willing myself to fall into the trap of relying on a counter god."
"Should I allow such a being into my life or not?"

Cymarron listened to the banter with interest, this elf was some kind of spirit wielder, or something. but he pondered thier questions carefully.
"Cymarron is here seeking one who has cuase Cymarron to be forced from his territory. she is a female, who Hunted in Cymarron's territory and caused her prey's body to become dust, leaving nothing for Cymarron to eat, and not eyes for Cymaron to see through. only a scent. the prey brought spirit wielders of thier own, adn the ancestors had Cymarron leave. Cymarron has tracked the scent here, but the female remains elusive, hidden in the Manor."
"Cymarron will find her. even if Cymarron has to rip down the doors he cannot open. This one will give Cymarron answers, if Cymarron is not allowed to Hunt her. if she seeks safety, she is not known to you perhaps, and then Cymarron will consume her and take her eyes and make her part of Cymarron."

"It is up to you whether you let anything into your life or not. However, if there is any suspiscion then they have no reason to help fully." She reflected back on what she saw or thought she saw when she died. That was indeed interesting, but was it in any way true? She belived that gods exsisted, but she was not sure as to the number.
She had no doubt however, that Cymarron meant what he said. "There are also several thieves, and magic wielders."

"Cyrmarron, I am lockpick, if you can't open a door, just point and I will open it." Nelphean's eyes glowed bright blue for a moment, demonstrating his dep magical nature.
"You seem to believe in the gods Bastet, why?"
