As the group went about their resting, maintenance, and flirting, the trio made out something on the horizon, coming from just west of where they had been. It rocketed through the sky, looking like it was aflame. As it screamed overhead, the group was hit with a near-deafening sonic boom and an intense blast of heat. Even those still inside the APC could feel it.
Just as quickly, it passed them and continued on through the sky, disappearing quickly into the distance.

Felicia stared at the vanishing point it had left behind. "No clue. But I don't think we'll find out right now. There's no way I could catch up to that thing. It was like some kinda meteor, or a mega-jet!"
