Cymarron nodded only briefly at the name, ears flicking around. his claws had sheathed themselves and one might think he was asleep for the lack of other movement, even his tail had stopped twitching. the voices however were not silent.
"why are we waiting? lets go in and find this prey!" "No, we don't want to give any reason to be attacked" "We can take this female" "yes! kill the female, I bet she is tasty." "No, killing the female brings the wrath of the dragon and we are at a disadvantage here." "we must Hunt! we have not had a decent meal in days..."
Another voice seemed to eat the others, deep, dark, hungry and sweetly seductive.
"We need to Hunt. you know we can't hide our nature for long. Let me out...with my strength we could take the dragon, and the female...even the shapeshifter."
The tip of Cymarron's tail flicked, and a slight ripple went through his form. both ears perked forward. he spoke softly, at least for him, his eyes only slightly glazed.
"No."
"What do you mean, no? you can't keep me locked away forever! let me out!"
The dark voice roared loudly, and faded away. Cymarrons eyes focused again, scratching his neck around his collar.
"Shinga. Cymarron will remember the name, and the scent."

((Me and my random postings...don't you all just love me? *looks at post count go up by one, looks at the competition, cowers* Don't hurt me!))
Aura sat up in bed, stretching and yawning. Reaching towards it's end she laid her hand into silk soft midnight blue fur and slick feathers of the wolf that was occupying it's end. She smiled, eyes still half closed as he woke as well, turning his head to lick her hand. Pulling her hand back she cast a look to Vincent for a moment, who merely grumbled something and rolled over at her own movement. Not a morning person at all. Usually she wasn't either, but her time away from home had found her to be rather spontaneous in her sleep patterns right now. "Morning Eclipse."
Eclipse yawned and stretched as well, then easily slid himself off the bed to the floor. Standing there a moment he flexed his wings and shook out both fur and feathers, smoothing out their bedded appearance. He merely gave a sleepy bark in response to her morning and sat back on his haunches as he waited for her to get up and open the door. He didn't feel like shadowing.
She slipped out of bed herself, dressing in usual attire and brushed out her hair, forgoing the thought to pull it back, it would just find some way to get loose. Grabbing her thick leather belt from the corner of the mirror where it was hung she strapped it around herself, turning it a little so that the sais it held rested comfortably in the small of her back. "Well, let's get our day started shall we?" Giving a smile to the winged wolf she opened her bedroom door and both stepped out into the hallway.

Cymarron stayed on the steps, the voices in his head occasionally speaking, the Beast within a dark shadow in the back of his mind, not content to lay in it's cage but trying those bars. He had not been given permission to enter and search, or even the idea that he would be welcome inside the manor. His ears only flickered, listening to the sound of life around him. serpents and lizards, birds and the wind. He was very much alert for all his lack of seeming awareness. Already he was registering place to hide, vantage points for ambushing or watching, places were a den might be managably out of the way of passerbys so as to better store his particular tastes in food.

Eclipse stopped, making the woman walking behind him bump into the creature, causing both to stumble a little. But he disregarded it for his nose was picking up something more worthy than an irritating run in. Standing there a moment he filtered the scents, snorting every now and then as he picked them out. Easy enough. Turning his head to Aurahkah he decided to play the game they used to, sending his message to her via mind link.
She tilted her head in Aura like questioning fashion. "Cat that is not, but seems to prefer...one still fresh in scales...and another who prefers the company of both." Didn't take much contemplation. "Elias, Shin, and Tularie. Right? What? Another? Who?"
A few more sniffs at the air before he started following its trail. Easy to pick up and relatively near by. Giving a bark, still being lazy this morning, he beckoned her to follow him, leading her along till he shadowed through the doors and outside.

He remained still as the winged creature came through the doors...the only real reaction was the extending of his serrated claws. the scent was wolven, but not. otherwordly...dark. and carried heavily about it the scent of a female. his slited pupils moved to focus on eclipse, a flare of nostrils nad a twitch of ears, picking up the footsteps of one behind, the female scent most likely. he sized teh winged wolf up, he wasn't entirely sure, thanks to the winged ones heavy scent and thier similarity, that this female was not the one he sought. if it was, he figured he could at least fling this wolf aside long enough to get to the female. and with the strong miz of scent, once he'd have her in possession, teh wolf would not assail him further...but those thoughts would be best left untouched until he knew the nature of the female coming behind.

Turning his head, azure eyes laid themselves on the creature on the steps. A few sniffs in his direction, made him the owner of the scent Eclipse was trailing. Victory! The nose never lied. Giving a fluff of his wings he sat back on his haunches, simply watching this one. Funny, he reminded the wolf of Bastet, yet not.
The doors parted easily under the slight shove she gave them and Aura stepped out, letting the door swing shut behind her. Hands on hips she turned a glare to the wolf. "Must you always go ahead of me? I hate it when you do that." Turning she followed his gaze, her eyes coming to rest on the one on the steps. "Oh, hello there." Yes she was slightly thrown off. She usually found people raiding her kitchen or sitting in front of the fireplace drying themselves rather than on the steps.

His eyes moved to the female, and he claws retracted. No, this was not the one he sought. How many females were in this place? and this one..her scent was everywhere, now that he knew it was hers.
"Cymarron greets you. your scent is strong in this place...you are perhaps the Mistress here?"
He remained quite still, before shifting ever so slightly. he sat on his knees, hands resting on his thighs, his head only slightly inclined downward. anyone who had been to a slave's market would know that many times this was a position they were placed in. it made clear that he was not hiding anything, and it was also not a position one could attack from easily save with there hands.

Aura gave him a smile and a nod. "Yes, I own the manor. I'm Aurahkah...Aura if you wish." His stiff posture was making her a little uneasy. Usually that didn't happen until someone said something offending. Shrugging it off, she pulled open the doors, and gestured towards the inside. "Why don't you come in. Never know when a storm will break out around here."
Standing himself, Eclipse padded over to Cymarron and sniffed at him a bit more to catalog his scent. Satisfied he gave a snort and turned, fluffing his wings once before padding back inside.
Her look briefly went to the wolf's retreating back. "Mind your manners, you can wait."

he moved without sound, getting up with a practiced ease and followed her into the building, eyes looking everying over as they moved. hearing voices, catching scents. he stayed behind the owner of this place, but if he was impressed, it didn't show.
"Where is it you are leading Cymarron? to food?"
His tail twitched, as she talked to the wolf....as if the wolf had actually spoken to her.
"You are...master of beasts? winged wolf is your warder?"

"Yes. I haven't had any breakfast yet, neither has Eclipse, and I'm sure you'd like some as well." Flicking a piece of hair over her shoulder she continued to lead him along. "Master of beasts? No. Eclipse is my companion, and I have a mind link to him, we can hear each others thoughts. He can talk as well, but he's not entirely woken up yet. He's actually quite chatty." Entering the kitchen she smiled. Well at least Lotus had fixed Vincent's damage from the night before.
Eclipse was already in the kitchen, sitting on the floor and preening his feathers as was his morning ritual. He looked up as they entered and let his tail swish idly as he waited for assistance from the owner of a pair of thumbs.

"Mind...link? Cymarron is unfamilar with that term. Cymarron is a beastlord, can take part of Cymarron's own soul and make a companion..and the ancestors help Cymarron too when Cymarron Hunts."
The winged wolf preening itself cause a flick in his ears, and an almost amused curl to his jowl. he sniffed the air, hoping to catch the sweet scent of raw meat..maybe if he was lucky from something that knew this place.
"You are the mistress to this place...but Cymarron sees none who serve. did they displease?"
He sat crosslegged on the floor, more instictivly than an actual decision, and waited to see what the others here thought food was, and if it woudl be edilbe to himself.

"Hm, mind link. It's basically hearing a voice in your head from a specific person." Opening the fridge she pulled out a steak, not even getting to ask if the wolf wanted it to be cooked for him before the creature had snatched it from her. Rolling her eyes she once again turned her attention to her guest. She found his questions intriguing...he asked a lot that the others never even probably thought about. "No Cymarron, I don't have servants or anything of the like. I used to live here by myself, until the others came here, much like you have. They've stayed, and we've all become a sort of odd little family, but a family none the less." She paused for a moment and cast him a warm smile. "Anything you prefer to eat?"
Eclipse was lying on the floor a few feet away from Cymarron now, happily gnawing on his piece of meat. He didn't eat it raw or cold too often, but he wasn't picky today, and as plainly pointed out by Aurahkah, was being lazy. He didn't have time to wait for his food to get cooked and the like.

"Cymarron eats what he can kill...Cymarron enjoys the..."
He cut himself off, before his mouth got him into trouble. His ears twitched slightly, before decided to change the subject somewhat.
"Meat. Cymarron hears many voices. the Ancestors speak to Cymarron often."
Again, best not to mention the other voices he heard. the remenants of souls and minds of peoples hunted over his lifetime. However he did have one other little enjoyable vice when it came to eating.
"Cymarron also enjoys eggnog."
He gave a loud yawn, jowls pulling back to show all his fanged teeth, and the odd little distortions of flesh around the eye teeth, one of the many 'gifts' aquired through years of hunting other civilized..and uncivilized, beings.

"You enjoy the hunt?", she finished for him. Reaching into the fridge again she pulled out another steak, but this time reached into the cupboard off to the side and pulled out a plate, placing the steak on it. "Ancestors? Like spirits?"
Eclipse was licking his paws clean, all the while watching Cymarron with focused azure eyes. He was trying to figure him out really. He found the third person reference to himself very intriguing.
Turning to Cymarron plate in hand, she tilted her head as she often did when asking questions. "Would you like this as is or would you prefer it another way?"

He nodded his head.
"Ancestors...spirits, yes. The spirits of all animals, all Vah. the Old one taught Cymarron the ways. the Ancestors speak..they aid, and they guide. Cymarron misses the Old one."
He then took notice of the plate, and the meat on it.
"Raw meat is the best meat, Cymarron is pleased with how it is."
He decided to let her assumption of what he was going to say stand, correcting that particular issue may not go over with someone who seemed to enjoy helping others, or at least being hospitable with them. the azure eyes of Eclipse seemed not to trouble him, as he'd be so closely watched most of his existance.
"You're companion is not what he appears to be. Cymarron sees a winged wolf, and smells something not of the natural world."
