Huck smiled when she mentioned Liver and onions. It's something he wouldn't mind trying . . . just to say he did it. Of course, he may have had it in the past, he just didn't want to really remember what happened.
"That'd be pretty nice. I know of a really great place t' get a good cheeseburger for pretty cheap." he said with a smirk in between bites.

Bobby was being awfully quiet and didn't start eating yet... did he not like her food. And Seth, he was obviously trying to sneak one past the girl. Senna wasn't at a decent age to be a mother but mature enough to see what a mother could see. "Kids not wanting certain foods"... "I made this for them, they need to eat all of it to gain the health benefits of it all." She thought to herself. She then returned a look to Huck with a nod.
"Yea, Cheeseburgers... um, I think these little bumpkins should come with us exploring after this."

Bobby looked at the bowl placed in front of him, and then up to Senna. He blinked, realizing that he had spaced out after Nathaniel left. The smell of food was so good, yet he hadn't even realized it was on the table in front of him. Effect of immediately he started eating... and this acrobat was not being picky about the contents of the meal. He was hungry, and this meal hit the spot.

Huck smiled as he ate. "It'd be good! Almost like a vacation . . . Not sure how far we are from Louisville, but once we get close to there . . . oooh buddy. Y'all are in for a treat!" he said. He knew a small bar that three brothers owned that made the best cheeseburgers in Appalachia. "But the stew came out really great tonight, Senna." he said.

Grace walked out of the tent to look for Nathaniel and the kitten. She made sure to scoop up some broth for the kitten in a dish.
"Nathaniel?"
She called out.
"Where could that boy have run off to?"
She walked around and found him. He hadn't began eating eat and she set the dish on the ground for his kitten.
"I'm sorry, if anyone offended you. We are here to help and while you work here we are your family, you know."
Senna started with her soup and self acknowledged that despite the lack of ingredients there it did turn out well. How this carnival seemed to run without much outside help almost astounded her. For a carnival that never moved, one that would stay put, for all eternity if the powers that control this place willed it.

Masquerade! Paper faces on parade. Masquerade. _______________________________Hide your face so the world will never find you...Nathaniel Nathaniel had been staring at the soup for a while now. Finding no where to go, he had sat down up against a tent and set his bowl in his lap. It still didn't feel safe, taking his mask off out here. He looked down to the kitten in his lap. "I bet you would be revolted too." He stroked Perrine's cheek a few times, sighing to himself. "If you saw my face... even you'd be revolted." He looked away, his hand retreating from her sweet fur. Grace approached just then and brought some broth for his kitten. He gently lifted Perrine from his lap and set her next to the bowl, it giving him an excuse to be seperated from everything. He then looked up to Grace, thinking about what she was saying. "Thank you, Miss Grace," he rasped, face retreating to his soup once again. "No one was offensive. I just..." After a while of staring into his soup, he looked up at her. "Thank you for checking on me. You can go back to the tent if you want." He glanced at Perrine and began stroking her again. Masquerade. When the soup from Bobby's bowl was half gone, he looked up to pause a moment.
"Thank you Senna... it's really good."
And he meant it. Before long, the boy's bowl would be completely empty. Every now and then he would glance toward the tent's entrance, half expecting someone to walk through it every time.

Huck smiled at the group, his bowl of stew finished. Believe it or not, for the big guy Huck was, that bowl hit the spot! Despite his cool exterior though, his mind was racing three or four thoughts at a time. Mostly around three categories.
One: Hot DAMN Senna was beautiful. Gotta figure out a way to go out with her. Sweep her off her feet . . . also do it in such a daring manner that he'd be hard to forget. Almost death-defying!
Second: Siff. This guy was a b*****d, but was he really the guy behind all this? This was a mystery that he should stick around to solve . . .
Third: If unavailable to solve mystery. How the hell was he going to get Bobby, Senna, Seth and himself away from this crazy joint? After all, Siffy-boy seemed to have it well instilled into Seth's mind that "this place was now our graves!" Well, it sure as hell wasn't gonna be theirs if he had anything to say about it!

Grace sat down next to Nathaniel almost faced away from him holding her soup. She also did so to keep an eye on anyone who'd happen to walk by to the meal tent.
"I think I'll still around here, make sure your safe. That and that group, is too high energy it seems."
Perrine began to lap up the broth slowly so as not to burn her tongue almost ignoring Nathaniel's words. Of course as soon as she was good and full she would happily jump back into the boys comforting arms to show that she didn't care what the boy looked like. After all, she was turned into a kitten, and had seen far worse in the horrid world outside of this carnival before she had become trapped.
Senna finished her soup about halfway before stopping and looking to Bobby with a smile. She for some reason could not muster the will to finish all of the soup, something she would finish very quickly. It could have been her injuries that caused for lack of appetite or, the place itself.
"You're welcome Bobby. And if anyone wants, I could always make this another time as well."
She messed up Bobby's hair a little as she stood up. And walked to the door. Senna stood at the door and looked out to the dreary atmosphere trying to decipher a clue as to what this place was. Something that stood apart... but she could not tell. Everything, was the same.

Masquerade! Paper faces on parade. Masquerade. _______________________________Hide your face so the world will never find you...Nathaniel Nathaniel sighed silently, though wouldn't protest. He nodded, pouring his broth into his cat's dish. All that was left was delicious looking chunks of meat and vegetables. He swallowed, setting that next to him too, trying to get it out of his mind. He looked away silently, watching his new cat feast on his food. After a good ten minutes he began getting up. "I will go thank her for the meal. Then we can clean the big tent, right?" He grabbed his bowl, glancing at his cat quickly and scooping up her and her bowl as well before setting off for the food tent again. Once there, he was about to enter when he saw her just standing in the doorway. He stopped, looking down shyly. He then held out the bowls for her, hoping she wouldn't notice the amount of food that was still there. "Thank you," he rasped, head still down. "It was delicious." He assumed it was from Perrine's reaction to it, and was sure it was, so it wasn't really lying. After she took the bowl, he took a good step back and held his cat closer to him. Without another word, he turned and left, off to meet up with Grace. Masquerade. Every face a different shade. Huck smiled. "Reckon that means I oughta go huntin' fer some more venison, huh?" he asked. He was sure Siffy-boy wouldn't mind if he went into the woods to go get some deer. He'd be back before the ringmaster would get TOO upset, but hey, that's the price of life, huh? After all, he enjoyed going out into the woods. If he caught a deer, more power to him.
He did however, seem lost in thought, playing with his big Bowie knife, leaning up against one of the posts and keeping calm. Perhaps imagining an escape plan that worked so well even Siff would be impressed . . . or imagining Senna in a bikini. Not quite sure right now.

Senna took the bowl and almost nodded to the quick to leave Nathaniel.
"Oh, okay...You're welcome."
Grace had followed Nathaniel to the tent and gave Senna her bowl as well.
"Senna, Nathaniel and I are going to get back to work. You all should get to work as well."
She looked in the tent, especially to Bobby and Seth. Hopeing they would get the "You need to work NOW" Vibes that she was intending from them. She normally wouldn't be so blatant with her gestures or want so much work from these kids, but considering the troubles that have been going on she didn't want any more trouble with Mr. Siff.
"We'll get right on that."
She turned to take the dishes back to the counters to clean while Grace and Nathaniel left. That boy was truly a mystery... and. "His food is still pretty much here" She sighed and set it on the table. She listened and then Huck spoke.
"Deer, in a Carnival?"
She looked back with a bit of confusion. Then raised an eyebrow to Huck's comment.
"Do you just really enjoy deer that much? I like mutton myself. Anyway, should we get about the Carnival everyone?"
She dried off her hands after rinsing the bowls she had on an old towel and turned leaning back against the table.
Grace escorted Perrine and Nathaniel to the big top to take care of the cages in the back by the green room. There was no reason they should really clean the /everything/ since there was work that had to be done by Senna and the others as well. When she was done spending time with Nathaniel, even if they got their work done first she would have a walk around and make sure that the others knew what their job was. She wanted no further trouble with the man who controlled their fate.
Siff spent a time to rest in his tent, leaving with a smirk on his face his day was already up and running again. Today the sun did shine... for a moment. It was rare, but it would be the last time. He walked back down the path to the main area, walking around in inspection of the place.
Senna noticed it got brighter outside for a moment and smiled. She looked to Bobby, Seth and Huck before walking to the outside door raising a hand to keep the sun from her eyes.
"Hm, not bad."
Grace looked up... a frown took her face. Not good... was her immediate thought, only when Siff felt particularly cruel would he pull something like this. She hadn't seen the sun in decades, seeing this was almost a "Hah" In the face. She looked down and entered the big top with Nathaniel not saying a word.

Masquerade! Paper faces on parade. Masquerade. _______________________________Hide your face so the world will never find you...Nathaniel Nathaniel retreated back to Grace, glad that she wasn't a great talker. He wasn't either. He glanced down at Perrine, who trotted behind them in a desperate attempt to catch up, and sighed. He still wasn't in the mood to pick her up, but he did anyway, though her feet were dangling. For a moment he felt a warm finger on his shoulder, turning only to see that it was the sun. He tilted his head at the sight of it, letting it lap at him for a moment before following Grace in. He glanced around the huge big top, Perrine still dangling from his hands. There were barrels to stand on, balls to balance on, a large target with many knife indents and, of course, the huge trapeze poles that stretched across the entire center of the stage. Off to the side were some simple instruments, such as balance beams, trapeze rings and a pommel horse. He stopped, staring at them for a long while. He set Perrine down, trotting to the balance beam first. He looked over it, entranced by it. He glanced at the barrel beside it, one he knew to be full of chalk, covered his hands, and stood beside it for a moment. Then, in only a moment's time, he was a top it. Upside down. On his hands, one in front of the other, he balanced on the beam with his legs curled carefully above him in scorpion fashion. He let out a breath, carefully looking down at his hands and walking forward slowly, thinking about his childhood. Oh, how he wished to do this on a real balance beam for so long instead of on his kitchen table. He saw Perrine looking at him from underneath the beam, perhaps entranced, perhaps totally confused by his position. He tilted his head carefully at her, taking a moment to look over her adorable body.Masquerade. Every face a different shade. Huck smiled as he got ready to do whatever work he could. "Huh . . . if I find one out huntin', I'll try t' bring it back fer ya." he offered. This could possibly be the break he was looking for! Or was it? Regardless, he was smiling when the sun came out.
"Was wond'rin' when the rain would let up." he said, a little more cheerier with the sun. For some odd reason he was almost like he was a child of the sun.

As Bobby followed the others outside, he shielded his eyes from the light. The boy couldn't hold back the huge grin that spread on his face. Sunlight. Actual sunlight! Without warning, the small acrobat ran past the others through the mud, spreading out his arms to embrace the warmth. From the looks of things, he'd never seen the sun up until now... and to an extent it was true. Bobby laughed and pulled a quick cartwheel (along with some other little flips) in his run, not caring that his hands were coated with mud afterwards. Bobby jumped up on a few crates, using them to bound higher onto the top of a trailer. It wasn't a difficult feat for the little guy. He finally called back as he had a firm tall stance atop his perch.
"Senna! Senna, sun!"
He was simply overjoyed.
