"Well that's good." he said back with a smile. "You had anything panned when you tunred 18?" He reaced for the smallm glas of water that the waiter gave them while they waited for their drinks, and took a sip. "Most people I've meet seemed to plan something?"

Makoto shrugged. "I planned on finally get out of my old town and play baseball with people who are at my level. But I already achieved half of that goal and gained something else." She smiled at him.

"Yeah." Haze chuckled. "At least you got one of them." he took anotehr sip of the water. "Didn't you also say that you wanted to have a family when you were at least 18?"

Makoto nodded. "From 18 and older, it would be nice to possibly have that but I'm not sure."

"Yeah...having a family can be a little difficult at times." Haze said. "But having one is defintly rewarding." The smiel that was across his face slowly faded. "I jsut wish I coul have one."

Makoto put a hand on his shoulder and smiled. "You seem more tense than usual, are you sure you're all right?"

Haze was quiet for a little bit. He didn't even notice that their food had arrived. After a little bit he let out a small sigh. "I'll tell you at the hotel..." he said somewhat stoicly, then opened his beer.

Makoto looked at him worriedly and returned her hand down to her side. She stayed quiet and took a sip of the glass of water in front of her.

They both ate their food in quite. Haze put the money on the table and took her back to teh hotel they were staying at.
Still quite, Haze sat on the edge of teh bed, trying to think how to explain it to her. He tired to possibly think of an excuse, but there was no possible pay to escape it now. He let out a sigh.
"Mako...I have to tell you something." he said. "The reason I'm molting my wings is because I'm tunring human. That's why I've been abel to get drunk, and all that other stuff that angels aren't supposted to happen to them.
"And the reason why it's ahpping is because you're starting to take over as the new reaper." he explained. "When JC made you into an angel, the only way he was able to do it was tranfer my power into you. You techniaclly became the next to become the angel of death.
"He manged to use his power to delay the process, but it was inevitable either way. By the time you hit 18 in two days, I will be fully human, and you would be the next reaper..."

Makoto was shocked in his announcement and lowered her head, biting her lip. "Looks like we just ended up going in a circle then huh? Why didn't you tell me this before, I would have never agreed to it if I knew it'd end up this way."

"Because I didn't want to worry you." haze responded. "I also didn't know about that before. It wasn't until I talked to JC a little while back did I find that out."
He then let out a sigh and hung his head. "By now the only way to probly prevent that is to have kid...but I still don't think that's going to work." he said sollemly. "How ironic, I prevent fading away the fist time...only for it to happen agian."

Makoto looked at him with a puzzled look on her face. "Well I am worried, having a secret like this is important to both of us." She sighed. "Well there's only one thing that can make things right again." She said with a small smile.
