"I was born over a century after the fall of the Aztec empire, by that time my biggest problem was American's shooting at me. Calling me a "w*****k." and telling to "go back to your country!!!" funny if it wasn't for that b*****d Santa Ana I would have been saying those things to them. Funny how life works, huh?" Elias said with a sly smile on his face.

she panted, nodding slowly.

Much better. finnaly able to breath properly, she stood, a little wobly, but that would go away with time,

she patted Tularie on the head, and opened the door, taking a deep breath and rearanging her thoughts, before stepping in to the hall.

"Life is more twisted than it is humorous to me these days. But that's just me. And my opinions are rather cold considering it all." She paused for a moment, propping an elbow on the arm of her chair then resting her chin in her palm. "So...how does it feel to not be a God?"

"Oddly liberating.."he said as he rose from the couch, "Sorry to leave so quickly but I must get going." he said as he bowed to her and made his way quickly out of the door.

Shaking her head she stood, and moved on, to the kitchen precisely, for some coffee. Hot mug of coffee in hand she took to staring out the kitchen window. Calcryx's door seemed to be hung on the trunk of one of the trees. "Interesting place to put it." She sipped at her coffee, leaning against the counter on one hand. A smile came to her features as she noticed the vaguely noticeable spirit that was inspecting said door with all too much fascination. "Jaxom...too curious for your own good." Looking down at her mug, she noticed it empty. Well that was fast. And then she had to resist the urge to get another cup, no sense in turning into a coffee addict this week.

Eclispe was at her side again, forpaws propped on the counter as he watched out the window as well. "Shows not playing today is it? Darn, and it was so good yesterday." He chuckled, letting his tail swish rather happily behind himself.

Niah stood up and began to shoot once again. She would master this bow and arrow if it killed her. She hadn't been that bad of a shot originally, probably due to the fact she threw her daggers with such accuracy. It was true she always had good hand-eye coordination adn that was the main thing with long-range weapons. She did need to battle short-range though. Her fight with Idalla showed her that. Rusty skills would get her killed. She considered for a moment how easily Idalla had been able to get into her subconcious and use the one thing Niah had often wondered about. Her youth. She was forever being called childish and told she needed to act her age. She had always looked the youngest and the truly ironic thing is here she really was the youngest. She used to think 3000 years was a long time. Now she knew better. Aura and Bastet had been already past their first century when she was born. It was unbelievable really. That three women from the same country could live so long and then end up in the same place thousands of years later. They were so different from her. Sometimes she truly did feel so much younger. It was disheartening.

Bastet yawned and stirred slightly in the arms of Nelphean. Opening her eyes, she smiled when she saw him, and remembered the romantic dinner the night before. Idly she fiddled with the sapphire pendant and then becoming fidgety, she dettached herself from the elf and stood. Even though they had napped there together, she did not want to leave him on the floor, so she somehow negotiated moving him to a nearby couch. Planting a kiss on his lips, she quietly walked out to the courtyard and saw Jaxom examining Calcryx's door. She walked up behind the spirit, "I heard that if you go in there, you might be lost for a few days, you interested?"

His attention was taken away from the door to turn and look at Bastet with a smile. "Nah, ghosts can't get lost. We can aways return to where we're bound to this plane." Giving her a once over he nodded. "You look much better than the last time I saw you."

Aura smiled as Bastet came upon the scene. It was a knowing smile. A smile that said, I think I know what's up with you and Nelphean...and oh the teasing you will get. After all, she needed penance for the teasing she herself had received. "Did you know about them Eclipse? Bastet and Nelphean?"

"Know what about them?" He jumped up, totally sitting up on the counter again to watch out the window. Jaxom examining things usually resulted in something hilarious. No way was he going to miss anything. "They fighting or something?"

She only laughed, petting his ears. "Silly oblivious thing."

Her ears remained in their happy position, her worry over certain things warring with her glee over others, so she decided being happy was easiest. Nodding to the ghost she thought that it was an odd place to put a door and would get more obvious people than put any other place, come on it was a door hanging on a tree.

"That must be very handy so that you do not get lost. And you mean the last time you saw me where Kali was drawing this nasty sludge out of my shoulder, yes, I am better since then. Did you find anything interesting in it? Did it eat away the vial and start at one of the gravestones?"
PostPosted: Wed Feb 09, 2005 9:38 am

He shrugged. "Not that there was anything to find in it. I just like to examine that which I can. No it hasn't escaped and wreaked havoc upon the graveyard or anything like that...but I think it has the potential to. Of course that's just me. I'll make sure to tell Kali that you're doing better when I get back."

"Ah that is not necessary, I was just about to go to the graveyard and if she is there than I can tell her myself. She will most likely ask since Coban wont." Smiling at the ghost she turned to go to the graveyard, catching sight of Eclipse and Aurahkah in the kitchen window. She had a look on her face, like she knew something. Shaking her head, she avoided that for now and went onto the path for the graveyard.

"I don't get it..."

"Oh don't worry. You'll know. Because I'll pry anyway." She laughed softly, especially since Bastet had looked over and seen them both. Yes she would enjoy turning the tides of teasing and interrogation...a spotlight that she felt she had had to herself far too often, far too much.

Coban sat at the base of the angel, elbow propped on his knee, chin propped on his closed fist. "I just know it..."

"KNow what?" She looked up at him, smiling gently."

"Bastet. When I brought her back...I know something happened there. To the both of us."

"Well the last time you resurrected someone...you were alive to do it. Now your very magic is in your spirit. Perhaps that has something to take account for." Kali was quiet for a moment. "Why did you do it Coban? You always say that you would rather not have ever learned to give life back to the dead."
"Same reason I brought back Aurahkah. Bastet was needed. Eclipse needs her, our Ary needs her, and Nelphean needs her, they all need her. It just...wasn't the time for her."

"A business man on the outside, but inside...you're always looking deeper than the business aspects...and you ask why I married you sometimes...silly man."

She continued along the path and came to the graveyard. Once inside the gates, she looked around and saw Kali and Coban at the angel statue. When she was walking towards them she faltered and almost fell into a hole. Regaining her footing, she walked more carefully to the two spirits and greeted them, "Hello you two, what is with that hole? Piper was hiding in it last time I was here..." Scratching behind one ear, she had heard the spirits talking, but nothing that they had said. "So you had any visitors since you opened it up?" She shifted her weight from foot to foot and twitched her tail with what was surfacing on her mind.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 09, 2005 10:11 am

Hadn't he just been talking about her? Coban's posture relaxed the slightest bit. "Hole? Oh...that thing. Why don't you venture over to it and take a good look. Discovering things for your own is half the fun." Giving her a smile her motioned for her to sit down. "Only one, Miss Bastet. Sir Calcryx did stop by though, as did Ary a few times now. But that's it."

She laughed pleasantly. "And there he was thinking some catastrophic change was going to happen. Like I told him, 'Coban dear you worry far too much for your own good,' but you know men, their attention wanders." Sobering herself she smiled to Bastet as well. "How are you doing dear? Treatment giving you any trouble?"

"She's been awful fond of that graveyard. Don't you think?" Looking away from the window she dropped her mug into the sink then brushed a few strands of hair from her eyes.

"Good company in there. You know, they have their moments."

She wrinkled her brow with a slight confused look on her face. "Ok," She decided that she would check on the grave later, right now she had to more directly address Kali's statements. "Well... I have been fine for the most part accept." She looked at the ground trying to figure out how to explain it. Then she sighed and just let it out, "Before I died, when I was injured, my body always automatically healed, but the recently I had to actaully heal myself. And I got tired easier last time I trained." She started walking around distracted and finally sat down, "Then the other day, when I got angry in the library, random books sort of levitated. I thought someone was messing with me, but there was no one else there to my knowledge. Then when the books dropped, I threw my hands up to prevent them from falling on my head, and there was this weird barrier thing that scattered them all..."

"This will not sound weird to you since you can all do magic. But I can not. I have never been able to do magic. I have been enchanted to be eternal and to heal, and I tapped into the enchantment to heal others, but other than that, I can not do magic."
