As they gazed at each other, she seemed not to be able to look away. His eyes always held something beneath them and she wanted to know what went on in his head. "I have not been pampered since my earlier days of Egypt..." She had often not allowed herself to be. Lightly, almost girlishly, she ate the food and curved her lips some as she savored the morsel.

Nelphean smiled, enjoying pampering Bastet... "Ne'er allow the sun to fade, e'er to see the vally of light, and always ready to fight."

Nelphean continued to feed Bastet, honestly not hungry. He had been eating too much, a whole meal each day. His stomach was getting too full.

His eyes continued to gaze into Bastet's, and the colours seemed to swile. "A small cantrip to make my eyes shine!" They changed into sapphire coloured stars, and then returned to normal. "Can I go twenty minutes without casting a spell..." Nelphean chuckled, admiting his weakness.

"Nigh shall the time for us to part shall come, and every action I shall take will be to avoid that end."

"Morning sun, and evening light, shall my heart e'er..." His words shifted into elfish, and a melody of sounds echoed from his mouth. His hand worked effortlessly to feed Bastet, all of the treasure's Nelphean had provided.

Against all of the tough girl things screaming at her in her own head, she let him feed her, and enjoyed hearing him speak. She took sips of wine every so often and much enjoyed it herself. When she was starting to feel full she held up her hand gently staying his. "It is deliscious, but I can only eat so much. Are you sure you are not hungry?" She guessed it must just be another thing she had to learn about him.

She laughed lightly at his statement, "No you can not. You must change something, make something appear or disappear, but that is just you and your magic." Which has worked so far.

"And do you know that I will match your actions to avoid that end as well, so that I can spend as long as I can with you?" She wavered on saying eternity, since she was uncertain anyway.

At his pause and statement, she listened on alert, until she was pulled back to him for a kiss. At the natural fear for her life and his, she involuntarily through up a barrier around them both, after the blast had already hit the intruder. She should not be able to do barriers...

She murmured low, "Twould be bad if you ever could not remember."

She allowed him to hold her and sing, clinging to him tight. She listened to him tell her of the note and smiled. "Would that maybe be a letter in Egyptian, that is written beautifully, that sounds like you, that ends abruptly?" She moved around so that she could get into her pocket, and pulled out the beat up letter. Because of the battle, it also had multi-colored blood on it, was crumpled, and torn at the corner. Wrinkling her nose, "As you can see I can not keep hold of beautiful things because I tend to ruin them." She stated this rather matter of fact even though the words were glum.

As if he actually gave her a choice, more as if she needed one. Smiling, she gazed into the fire for a long time, content. She would not bring herself to think of anything negative now. Negativity could wait until tomorrow... yes, Coban and business could wait until tomorrow, or she could simply discuss it with someone else. The illusionist in her arms might have some ideas, she had been too duh from amazement and uncertainty to say anything to him earlier. So with these thoughts running through her head, she relaxed more if that was possible and fell asleep with her tail wrapped around them.

Elias rose from the couch were Shin had placed, his body was still very much weak from the previous night's battle, but in the last twelve hours the "Gifts" given to him by his new masters had done there job of healing and reperaing most of his major wounds. Altough it still hurt heredously to breath. "Damn ribs." he said grabbing his sides as he tried to rise from the couch only to find himself falling back down upon it. "That was emberassing, it is times like these that I still wished I had my god powers." Elias's eyes went wide as he suddenly remembered who had saved his skin during the battle, but that wasn't possible, they were dead, not to mention two of them had to be much younger that they apperead to hims last night, his head was spinning so fast, that he thought that maybe it was best just to stay on the couch, he still had to explain to Shin, the large mountain of mess that he had drop her into. "THis is going to be one of those days." he said rubbiing his temples in frustration as the pounding in his head grew steadily more powerful.
