When it became clear that reading wasn't helping her sleep either, she sighed and went back into the bedroom. She laid down on the bed and turned to look at Angel for a while. What she really wanted was to talk to him. Softly, she reached out and touched his arm. "Angel?"

oh, btw angel's not very symphetic to suicides.)
Angel stir slowly. Had he been asleep for so long. He turned and looked up at Ana. "Is it morning already."

Had he been asleep for so long. He turned and looked up at Ana. "Is it morning already." ((He doesn't have to be sypathetic to Mieke's suicide. But it would be nice if he was sypathetic to Ana's grief. xd )) Ana gave Angel a small smile. "Yes, it is. You sleep an awful lot dear." She leaned in and kissed him lightly before pulling back. Her expression became solemn and sad. "Angel...something happened today." Her eyes watered over with unshed tears. "Mieke...died today."

" He reached out and touched her hand slightly. "Jesus. I'm so sorry Ana. I...how." ((Maybe he shouldn't sleep for two days straight. xd )) Ana closed her eyes and sighed. "She....k-killed herself. She'd been depressed for a while I think. Dio was attacked today and we thought he was dead. That, in addition to what happened the other night....seemed to be the final straw. I-I don't know the details, but I know she's really d-dead. Kara told me. She felt it when she died." She looked at Angel, tears in her eyes. "I...we...never got to make things right between us before she was...gone." Tears started to flow down her cheeks again as she leaned her head on Angel's chest and cried.

It never was his best effort. Death wasn't tragic for him. Simply another part of life. "I'm sure she knew the truth. I know she knew how much you loved her, and she loved you." He turned his head slightly. He would never say it, but he hated Mieke even more for making Ana sad.

Something had been changing in him recently. He was becoming more aware. "I had a feeling that he wasn't gone. He is a god after all." Angel's mind was racing. Trying his best to come up with possible solutions. However his exterior remained calm. "I won't let him hurt you. I swear it." He nodded to her reassuringly. (Damn I g2g soon. I have to be up early)

She threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly. "I don't want to lose you." She whispered fiercely.

"I love you, and there is nothing that he could throw at me that could tear us apart." ((Well, double poo. I'll be up late again cause I have Monday off. So maybe I'll catch you then.)) Ana clung to Angel for a long moment before pulling back and looking him in the eyes. "I love you too." She forced a small smile. "You better not leave me. You still need to teach me to fight." It was a weak joke and she knew it, but it was better than crying again.

"But I should at least be able to defend myself. I can't depend on everyone else to protect me forever." Her smile became more genuine. "I'm not looking to be the best fighter around here. I'll let you and the boys take care of that. I'd just like to not be so...helpless when push comes to shove." She tilted her head a bit and looked at him curiously. "You don't think I can stand up for myself now?" Her tone was questioning, not accusing. She was interested in hearing how he saw her.

"Not everyone is a fighter. You have gifts. Great gifts that can be used to do much good in this world. A lot more than I can do with my fist. Not everyone should or needs to be a warrior. And, simply but, violence brings more violence. It would be tragic for you to waste your true talents on the slaying of men. " He sighed a bit and shrugged. "I agreed to teach you because you asked, and I really cant say no to you. But, make no mistake. Anything about using swords to protect people is just kids talk. The sword is a weapon meant to take life. The art of swordsmanship is learning how to kill." "I happen to prefer to the kiddy talk is all."
