A'besh summoned water, then froze it and made it sharper than a freshly sharpened katana. "Here they come!" the demons burst in, heedless of the rath that awaited them. A'besh muttered to himself, as he always did before fighting,"Desh'ketai."

Feralin, caught up in her conversation with Garth, at first did not see Natalya bounding toward her. When the demon was directly on her, she finally saw her in her peripheral vision and managed to turn, just in time to be tackled in a hug. She barely caught herself, then realized what was going on and smiled, then laughed lightly, returning the hug and squeezing Natalya before stepping back away from her again.
"Honestly, I thought you were dead!" Feralin watched the demon with a smile dancing across her face. "When the sinkhole hit the church I couldn't find anyone... then I met up with A'besh and Garth, then Kira... I didn't see anyone else at all..." She grinned. "I suppose I should trust the strength of demons a little more than that..." She gave Natalya another hug, then heard A'besh's warning and saw the demons burst into the warehouse.
"Not again..." Feralin stepped back, her eyes narrowed in anger. "I'm sick of this!" She held up one hand, her eyes shining molten gold as fire surrounded her arm and hand. A long strand solidified in her grasp as she moved away from Natalya and she shot it forward toward the rushing band. Snapping it back she heard the fire crackle, sparks flying from the tip of the whip as she cracked it in the air, sending fire into the face of the demons in front of her.

With a shout, A'besh swund the ice sword at a demon, slicing it neatly in two, but the others weren't to be frightened off, so A;besh swund at another, then another, then another. They just keep on coming! He thought as he saw that they were practically endless around the buildings. "Kira, you might want to relocate!" he shouted, felling several more.

"We have to relocate her!" Feralin called back, seeing Kira lying on the ground. "She's out again... We'll have to carry her out of here! Brian? can you do anything to keep them at bay? Natalya, do you think you could ask Dementa for some help again? There's to many here for us to last against..."

"We can hold long enough to get out!" A'besh shouted, felling several more Demons,"I'll take half!" he dropped the ice-sword and started taking them out fist-and-foot style, dangerous, but painful for them.

Brian sighed heavily and nodded, watching the whip Feralin had in her hand. "Might I suggest another weapon?" He asked while motioning towards the whip at Kira's side. "You must be careful with it and do not give into the whisperings." He said while detaching it from Kira's waist and forcing it over to Feralin. "There is a rather powerful fire demon within this chain." He said then dropped it at Feralin's feet, the two large scythe blades on each end clattering loudly.

"We should really leave this gor forsaken place!" A'besh shouted, kicking a demon "where it hurts". "I can't hold them forever!"

Clinging tightly to Feralin's frame, Natalya's head swam with a torrent of emotions. Happiness, relief, worry, confusion, elation... all came and swapped places and reasserted themselves as she held her friend close, assuring herself that she was indeed alive and well. At long last she finally released her constricting grasp.
Smiling through tears she nodded to Feralin, not letting Senjak's doubts cloud her happiness. It was sensible, not many a creature would survive such a fall and burial. At the mention of demon strength, Natalya grinned even as her ears pricked to a far off call.
Once she realized that this was another attack, her eyes narrowed, flashing violet. Knowing this time she couldn't rely on her semi-demon form alone, she focused on her demon-self, her skin taking on a faint luster as her body molded and changed. She grew 2 feet, even as her body sculpted itself into its true form, her tail lengthening and her horns protruded from her silvery hair, all the while her claws contracting and becoming deadly sharp points.
Clenching her fists, she belted out a roar of challenge, shaking the building closest to her slightly.

Releasing her clenched fists, she held her hands slack, the claws retracting ever so slightly as her eyes darted about the onslought, calculating. There are too many, she realized even as Feralin asked for Dementa's aid.
Natalya's fur prickled, unsure of how to "call" for him. Last time she was not expecting help at all, yet he came anyway. "I'm not sure how," she told Feralin shortly. After a brief pause, she launched herself with claws glistening at the demon who strayed too close. Sinking her razored points into the yeilding flesh of his neck, she then twisted her hands in a semi-circle and then ripped them away again. The demon stood no chance, his jugular vein was severed, and his life stream left him swiftly.
"But I will try my best," she told Feralin while watching out for any more who thought to rush them.

A'besh backed off for a few moments, surveying the area. I've already got more than fifty kills, it's only been five minutes... A'besh backed off to where Feralin and Garth were standing, panting. "I've not fiught like this in ages..."

The air started to drop dramatically. Hissing whispers pierced through the veil of sounds until all one could hear were the malicous sayings of the ghosts that surrounded the group. In a puff of white smoke and a gentle fall of frost, Dementa became viewable. He stood infront of Natalya, his spear at his side - facing the hordes of demons. His ethreal body soon started to become solid and whole like any other living person. Dementa had grown substantially in the past few moments - strong enough to project him and his endless sea of soldiers into the physical realm.
Dementa's long silky black cloak started to move with an invisable wind - the wind blowing towards the horde. It could plainly be seen that there was a light blue liquid dripping from his spear's tip. As it dripped and dotted the floor - it would let of a slight golden glow. Then Dementa's army made a solid thick line between the horde and the group, Dementa was of course standing infront of the projected army. He lifted his spear up into the air - slightly tilting it towards the rushing horde. His soldiers did the same.
Then suddenly it could be noticed, all of the weapons were coated in the light blue liquid. Natalya would know right off what this was - just because of what she was. Angel's blood. A single drop of this upon a demon's flesh would almost certainly force the thing back into the abyss.
"We will protect you Natalya. None will near you." He turned to look back - his soldiers parting so Dementa could look Natalya in the eye, "I swear it." His eyes let out a flash of red and he turned back to the horde.
"Pikemen! To the front!" His orders were clear and even made Garth almost take position in Dementa's ranks. It was the voice of an Immortal General, none could deny what it ordered.
The soldiers with spears marched in unison to the front of the line and held their spears out towards the oncoming swarm of demons. They all knelt and placed their right foot against the flat end of the spear.
"Bowmen! Ready!" This time Garth could not resist it. He joined the ranks of bowmen and strung an arrow into his bow - the light filling the area. He unfolded his matalic wings so the light woulding hit the group behind him.
"Swordmen! Ready!" Those with swords unsheathed and stepped in an eerie unison into a fighting stance. The demons were almost at their toes.
"Sheilds! Up front!" Those bearing over-encumberingly large shields (large enough to hide two people behind) took to the front and shielded the pikemen.
"Bowmen! FIRE!" This order shook and startled even those that charged them, the utter command in his last order was to a point of elder magics.
Arrows filled the air and arched into the path of the raging demons, golden light sparkling from the tips of each arrow to make it seem like magic fire. Demons could be heard howling in utter pain, sounds of the abyss swallowing up those who fell rushed through the battlefield.
"Bowmen! Fire at will! Beyond the line!" The archers began fireing at their own pace - which was still almost in complete and perfect unity. No arrow would hit those baring shields that made the front defensive line and even as demons shot up into the air to try and take the army from above - they were shot down by the expert marksmen. When a demon would fall, a perfect circle owuld be made awaiting its inevitable thud against the earth and then the soldiers would realign ontop of the corpse and continue their orders.
"Bulge!" Those baring shields started to allow the demons to buckle the frontline. What they didn't know was the bulge they were creating would start to form a circle around the thinning horde, close with pikemen stabbing at those who survived the arrow fire and then the shield barers would single out each survivor, pinning them with four shields at their every side and swordmen stabbing through the shields to pierce the bodies of the demons.
When the battle was over the army formed the lines again - garth snapped out of his servtitude and Dementa turned to Natalya.
"As I promised." He knelt before her, "When you require me and my men again, master, just call my name."
The rows of soldiers all sheathed their weapons and knelt. All fading into the spirit plane in which they could not be seen - though always present around Natalya. Dementa was the last to fade away and they all did so before anyone would respond to what he had said.

A'besh watched in awe as the archers mowed down the demons. What...? How...? he looked around, trying to find another demon to kill,"They are very...thorough, aren't they..."

Feralin stood where she was, staring down at the weapon Brian had dropped at her feet. A long chain with two blades at either end. She picked it up, immediately hearing something within the chain screaching at her. Her fires flared and it quieted. Her eyes widenned as she gripped it tighter. The weapon was alive?!
She released the fire whip she'd created and let the sparks burn away to nothing. Before she had a chance to use the weapon, Dementa rose and called for his army to follow. She had no rank, no weapon, but the call was difficult to ignore. General's calls always were, even to one not part of an army. The sheer authority was demanding enough.
When the demons were destroyed, Feralin stepped forward into the mess of bodies. Blood littered the ground, staining everything. The robes she'd taken from the church were covered in blood. Looking down at the cloth made her sick.
She turned to the side and promptly emptied her stomach, though their wasn't much in there to begin with. She still held the weapon and the whispering from it began again.
Demon's blood... it covers you... take it off, least ye die...
"Wha-" Feralin truly felt sick. She was getting slightly chilly, an oddity for a fire conjurer. She shivered, sitting back on her heels. Pulling up her flame, she burned the bottom parts of the robes, holding her breath as the blood became steam and lifted from the cloth. She did the same with the sleeves of her clothing and part of her top, leaving some of her stomach, her legs, and her arms exposed. The blood was gone from the clothing she had left, however, which prevented her from getting worse. She moved as though she would stand, but instead fell forward again on her hands, trying to empty her already hollow stomache.

((OOC: OK, I'm having some difficulty finding this story to be as realistic as I'd like. I'm posting up damage for everyone now. Everyone must understand, if you are in a battle, you will take damage, especially going against such a large number.
Also, in the first post explaining the races, demons were the only race able to kill an immortal. Their secret killing weapon? No, it wasn't some shiney pretty item, just something they all had. Their blood. If their blood enters an immortal's system, they will get sick. If too much of it enters the immortal, they will die. Not so immortal, are ya now?
Keeping this in mind, I will be dealing damage where I see fit. If you have an issue with damage I have given, then post it up in here *in ooc* and we will discuss it as a group and decide the best possible solution.))
Kira: Due to a lack of mobility among the rest of those present and your lack of food, you can no longer become concience when someone touches the weapons. At most, you may groan viciously.
Brian: The state that your... um... carrier is in forces you to have no completely visible form. She is dying without sustenance. Your form flickers and disappears constantly, but your voice can still be heard. Your ability to turn solid is with held for 1 battle because it was used sparingly.
Dementa & Army: Because you gained a solid form during the battle you may only have an ethereal form for the next 2 battles. Only Dementa and his highest lieutenants may appear to Natalya and group. The army is merely whisperings until all have regained the strength. Becoming solid takes a lot out of a spectral form!
Garth: Because Dementa used an immortal general's control over you, you have a headache, like almost breaching a migraine.
Natalya: Changing to a demonic form will take a toll on your human form. If you turn back to your human form, you will be tired, like you only got a few hours of sleep the night before. Nothing you can't handle.
A'besh: Your character faced and killed a bunch of demons hand to hand. This will take a toll not only on your stamina, but also on your health. I imagine with so many that you must have recieved blood splatter at the very least. Taking on so many has left you poisoned. You will recover, but it will take time. Not even magics can heal the poison of a demons blood in an immortal. It is their weakness. You are also very tired, to the point of exhaustion. You may force yourself to continue to move, but only for a while until you're forced to sleep to recover.
Feralin: Ya didn't really fight, you lazy bum... *shakes head* However, so close to a battle with so many demons I see no reason why you would not also recieve blood splatter of some sort. You're poisoned too honey. Not only that, but you also have not eaten, pulling your health down as well. The weapon you picked up, it affects you. You also recieve a headache, just a mild one though, until the weapon is away from you and you are no longer affected by its call... which could take some time.
Everyone will need to have food soon. If your characters do not recieve food (from what I've gathered, no one has any at all, which means grocery time where ever they choose to go!) you will all suffer. Immortals can 'die' from a lack of food. Think of the undead... not like whisperers, but like zombie ish... You'll have a mind of your own, but quite a taste for anything edible. And the first thing a starved immortal eats is what it has to have to survive from then on, which tends to normally be its companions... My oh my... Food anyone?))
