Elias only smiled as he heard her say this. "No we all have our demons. Those shadows which he hide in our own mind, the things which make us cry at night." he said in a solemn, "I told you mine last night, the sorrow which my heart feels when I see this simple golden band on my finger, but it seems that you still hide your pain in those shadows of yours, now bring them to the light and clense them in warmth and friendship." he said with s ly grin on his face.

Niah grinned. "Yes we are. And it's that that makes us so special. We're your family Aura and you are never getting rid of us." She stood up and gave Aura a quick hug. "But if you wanted me to I could make money for you. Not that you need it." she said hastily. "Between you adn Vincent Ra knows you could buy and sell me several times over. But it would give me something to do and I wouldn't feel like a charity case."

"Freeloader is entirely different from charity case. Freeloaders get more perks." She smiled at her. "And yes, I have far too much gold at my disposal, as does Vincent. The result of being pack rat type of people, but do tell...how would you make me money. Never know when I may end up without anything and need a bit."

"I have seen that what befalls many they do not deserve, but I will not fight you on it." She looked at him with a question on her face, then leaned against him once more, setting one hand on top of his, "Why do you allow your heart and mind to be plagued with what if's and future events when they prevent you from enjoying now which is what you control? Curses can be broken, or they can work there intended course, however fortune comes whenever it wishes, and sometimes it is already there without you knowing, until it is right for you to know." She thought about each of his losses and what his past may be, as well as her own past. She could not condemn someone after what she had done.

she walked down the front steps, the wind catching her black vest, making the edges moove a little.

"What do you want to know?"

she paused untill he was walking beside her.

"I'll answer anything you ask."

"perhaps Sweet Bastet, it is the present which makes the future so bleak. Before you were willing to hear my words, and hold my heart, I had no fear of the coming evil. Since you have accepted me, and have fallen under my spell, I woe the future. Never did I think I could win against her forever." Nelphean looked at the hand resting on his, "Not to long from now, I see blood on those beautiful hands... My blood." Nelphean looked up, and into her eyes.

"Too many deeds have I done to run from this demon, but face her I shall, and win I must try. To that end, I have devoted my being, but alas, I still know that to be too arrogant and proclaiming my victory before hand will do nothing but further her wrath, as we sit here, she listens to all our words. She will go after you, now she wont, now she will..."

Nelphean sang another elfish tune, "How many of these litter my mind."

Niah nodded. "Actually I didn't start selling them until I was finally denied all forms of substance." She laughed for a moment. "They tried to burn me at the stake and I woudn't burn. It was rather entertaining. So they decided to kill me by starvation. A slow and painful death and one I'm not at all fond of." She shook her head. "I suppose Esmerelda will have to stay in my past then. Pity she is so much fun to play."

"I...I told you then that I was fired did I not?"

She sighed.

"I wasn't. I was banished, i guess you would call it....because I killed a lot of people I shouldn't have. "

"You see...I guess the point is they're trying to teach me compassion or something, which is odd, since Guides arent supossed to be that way, theres to much of a chance that we won't do our jobs."

"Either that, or its some cosmic joke, and im being laughed at."
