Bobby shook his head and wiped at his eyes with his forearm.
"No, I got it."
He continued with the onion pealing and looked up at Senna with a smile. It was funny that, how such a thing could come across his face at a time like this. Bobby didn't quite understand it himself.

Around that time, Huck managed to cut the big cut of Venison down to bite-sized chunks. Smiling as he brought the cutting board with the steak all set to go. "This good 'nuff fer th' stew, Senna?" he asked.

Senna turned to look to Huck her crimson red hair flipped behind her. She walked over to him and pulled out a large pot to stick over the fire pit to cook some stew. She kept careful attention to her wings, making sure they were out of the way. She brought it over to Huck handing it over to him by the handle. Her soft hands touched his as he picked it up although she payed no mind. She nodded a bit keeping her hazel green eyes on him.
"Yea that's good. Could you please fill this up about half way with water from the spigot outside please."
She blinked a few times, as she looked at the American bumpkin. Although she seemed to stare at him she thought of where the water would be outside.

Masquerade! Paper faces on parade. Masquerade. _______________________________Hide your face so the world will never find you...Nathaniel Nathaniel looked down when Perrine meowed at the sound of her new name. She must've liked it. He scratched her ears more. He couldn't explain the affection he had with this cat. Perhaps it was the connection he felt with her when they first met. They had both been abandoned, both were tired and weary from their life, and they both were soaking wet at the time. Nathaniel saw a bit of himself in this cat. As Grace approached him, he gazed up at her. He straightened with a bit of pride at her words, feeling wonderful that he had practically saved this cat. He continued to scratch those soft ears. Food, a topic which had slipped his mind for the past few hours, was sounding quite delicious already. "Okay," he cooed. His voice was still soft and warm from being with these animals. That would probably go away soon, though. Masquerade. Every face a different shade. Masquerade._______________________________ Look around, there's another mask behind you...

Huck smiled a little bit, her hands were soft on his rough, calloused hands. Holding the pot he put the cutting board with the venison bites down.
"Yes ma'am, I'd be right happy to." he said. Of course their eyes locked for a brief moment. His Cobalt blue eyes met hers . . . and he was just about to dive into those deep pools, head over heels when he shook it off. He still had to get that water, or it'd be casserole!
He walked outside and filled up the pot about halfway. His mind already abuzz with things . . . namely him trying to be careful about this situation. After all, he hadn't really been in one spot long enough to really fall for someone . . . he was a little nervous to say the least.

"Okay... Follow me, and I'll show you the way to the Food tent."
She stepped out of the Lions tent tying the door up as she stepped out with Nathaniel. The sky was gray, nothing new but it was better than rain. The ground was already dry. They were only a few tents from Midway and she began walking.
"So, the Food tent, is just on the other side of midway around the other side of the big top. I'll show you the best way to get there."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Senna raised a brow as he left, wondering if what she thought just happened, happened. Was she going to like someone? She shook her head and walked over and picked up the chopped onions that Bobby had finished, putting them in a bowl with the chopped cabbage, and celery. Almost everything was ready for making stew, only waiting on Huck now. The quantity of veggies and meat everyone had prepared was far more than enough for all of them. Enough to feed a them seconds and even thirds if they'd wanted. She wanted the soup to last, and for Bobby and Seth to get enough to get over they're colds they obtained from being in the rain.
Masquerade! Paper faces on parade. Masquerade. _______________________________Hide your face so the world will never find you...Nathaniel Obedient. Nathaniel followed quietly behind Grace to get to the food. He, again, was distracted with the carnival tents and the random assortments of circus equipment strewn across the area. The depressing atmosphered didn't even bother him that much; it suited the place nicely. It also seemed to suit him nicely, despite the vivid crimson coloring that decorated his mask. They got to the food tent and Nathaniel became his old self once more. He hid from the enterance to the place, cautiously peering at Grace and waiting for her to go in first.Masquerade. Bobby wiped at his eyes again after he was done with pealing and watched Senna. He was so hungry right now... he hadn't eaten since before the performance (which in hindsight probably wasn't a good idea to wait this long to eat).
Huck was about to bring the pot in when he saw Nathan and Grace coming by. Not to betray his good-natured Southern Hospitality, he smiled. If he didn't have the pot in his hands, he would have waved. "Hey, y'all! Come on over . . . yer just in time for supper." he said to the duo on his way back into the food tent, placing the water-filled pot over the fire pit with a smile.
"Ready when you are sugar." he said, his warm smile and Kentucky drawl seemed to ease naturally like a warm Southern breeze.
"Sugar?" A almost loud question could be heard from inside the tent as Grace stood outside with Nathaniel. It was unmistakably Senna's voice. Although she didn't know much about these new people, or even this new American she still could tell them apart by voice. Not that it was all that hard. She was rather surprised at how this place almost seemed to be becoming a not depressing place. Graced raised a brow and looked down to Nathaniel.
"Seems you've come on a nice day. Others are making food for us."
She opened the door and followed in afterwards seeing that Senna was starting to put ingredients into the large pot over the fire pit.
Senna started stirring the stew leaving carrots and potatoes for last while these items helped flavor the stew. She stirred looking at Huck a little surprised.
"Sugar, isn't that what American's call their wives or something? My name, it's Senna."
She didn't seem so insulted as almost curious as to why he'd said it. Did he really trust or like her enough to pretty much compliment her.
Huck laughed a little bit at his own slip of the tongue. "Some do . . . never had a wife so I wouldn't know fer sure." he said with a shrug. Of course he meant well. "Reckon it's a term of endearment, Senna." he said. He seemed to trust Senna and the boys, Seth and Bobby a little more than their boss.
Senna blushed when Huck mentioned it at as a term of endearment. For some reason she couldn't help but smile a little, and she looked away afraid he'd see that she liked his last comment. She was afraid if he caught on he would keep bugging her and then eventually ask her out in an awkward sort of way. Falling for someone, has never even occurred to her till now. For the most part she's not found anyone who's really liked her other than for her wings. Besides the fact that he didn't seem interested in his wings, she found his American accent to be very cute... and the terms he used.
"Yea... um, Reckon..."
She smiled again facing away from him.
"Anyway this should be done in about an hour or so."
Huck smiled a little bit. Surprised that she looked away so quickly, he was really starting to wonder. It probably was on his sleeve (if he had long enough sleeves) that Huck was . . . about to fall for Senna. The thought that he had just arrived there was the only thing that kept him teetering on the edge like that one kid at a swimming pool who is about a split second away from doing a cannonball off the high-dive. She seemed really cute. Sure the wings were cool, but he seemed a little more interested in the person.
He smiled when she said that dinner would be ready in about an hour. "Reckon that sounds mighty nice, sugar . . . better than commodity meat, that's fer sure!" he said. Aaaaaaand over the metaphorical edge he went. He fell when he saw that smile, even for a second.
Senna kept smiling as she worked on stiring the soup to help it along and keep the heavier ingredients from staying near the bottom. Of course she also had to keep an eye on the smoldering logs with the little bits of flame that now flicked at the bottom of the pot. She stopped herself from looking back at Huck to prevent from distraction and catching him looking at her. She just might be crushed and forced to ask /him/ out. But personally, she wanted to know him longer and have him ask. Definitely him, since it is a guys thing to ask first... right? At least, that's what she thought.
Huck smiled a little bit, but noticed the fire was getting low. "Hey, y'all, I'll be back in a minute. Looks like we're low on wood." he said, heading around the side of the tent, looking for a woodpile. Probably could split a few logs and bring 'em back so Senna had a better fire to work with.
