"In all honesty, at first I thought you were just a charmer, but I would be daft to still think that now, so naturally I do not. You need not justify yourself to me, for I did not mean it like that. My everyday behavior is me." She shook her head, unsure of her own words now. "I do not doubt you, and should not doubt your thoughts of me when you have such a special way of thinking, unlike everyone else. My past is not pretty, and it is a part of me, but far different from who I am today." She smiled, "However, my actions should show that I am naturally skeptical, sometimes overly so, humor me at times, or try to set me in place as you just have." She laughed a little at how she sounded.

"Perhaps the name Princess is one that you would endure more profoundly than sweet. But I am afraid that my mind is pretty set in that reguard, Sweet Bastet. Feel not afraid of your past, nor feel inclined to tell me of it. Where I am from, often not speaking of the past is validatied frequently, when you find yourself unable to speak of yesterday." Nelphean felt awkward at tryign to explain what he meant, but not being able to expirence... He tried to stop thinking about it.
"Let us look to the future, where we shall be, no matter how hard we try to stay where we are, or go back to where we want to be." Nelphean smiled.

"Um, no Princess, too close to Goddess, and I have been that too long. The Sweet is fine since I understand your reasons behind it." She smiled, letting herself forget the worse parts of her past. "You are easy to talk to. So if we are not dwelling on the past, and the Manor seems to have this odd pull that takes people in and rarely lets them leave, I thought I might stay here for a while. What do you think future has in store for you or us?"

"For me, I sense the ever present danger of my ex-employer. For us..." Nelphean grined, "I sense you will find me irratating and get suddenly jealous whenever a girl walks in the room." Cryptic and full of hidden meanings, Nelphean anticepated she would get the just of what he was saying, she was very keen after all.

Her face set in a mild glare at the elf as her tail twitched in slight annoyance. "I think you will try to irratate me and make me jealous. Maybe I should just keep you away from others then, seems mean, but could be necessary." Then she attempted to pull of a demeanor of nonchalance and shrugged, "Or what if I should not care?"

"You would have said that first, but why didn't you retreat from my arms?" Nelphean cooed, "I think the sweet Bastet would feel quite cold with out them, though the elf that ne'er lies stands before her, and she ne'er dared to ask." Nelphean was going bardic again, He tilted his head, and smiled devilishly.
"Perhaps we should discuss this over dinner, tomorrow night." His smiled shrunk, and his eyes glowed slightly, "Dinner under candlelight, moonlight, or no light,"
"Can you see in the dark?"

"Maybe I just can not predict my own reaction..." Not having any real retort, she set her jaw and her eyes grew wilder at his teasings. The glare intensified a little, but somehow, she could not intimidate him. "I can see just fine in the dark, cat eyes and all. Have I told you before that you annoy me sometimes?" Though it was the truth it was not an annoyance she wished to leave.

His eyes glowed softly, and his smile was gentle. "Do you have something you wish to tell me, sweet Bastet?" Nelphean's arms retained their wrap, and his feet slowly turned, he pivoted her so that he was holding her on an angle, "Is there something you wish for me to know?" He asked again.

His voice drifted to her ears so softly that it seemed to disarm her like very few could have before. She hated it, yet was amazed by it at the same time. She noted the movements and brought her face closer to his, treading on unfamiliar ground, she was not sure of what to say. "I do not know, is there something you need to hear from me so badly?"

"I think..." She paused, uncertain of her own feelings, or how he would respond, but he prompted it. "I believe, my heart quite simply desires you."

Turning in the opposite direction, place Bastet on her feet as she would stand normally, Nelphean locked his eyes on hers. "The road you are standing on the edge of is far more turbulent than any other you have ever walked, The only thing that you can count on is my utter devotion."
Nelphean kissed her forehead. "Stepping lightly is the path to walk, rush into things, and the charm might wear thin, but allow the slow advance of the elf's eyes, and thy heart shall e'er rejoice."

Elias Murieta made his way back from the outside of the manor. His body was drenched in sweat, in all of his intense training he had somehow managed to tear of his own shirt. He made his way to his own room and replaced it with a new blue shirt. He then made his way to the kitchen it seemed that his stomach was growling quite loudly and he was so hungry in fact that as he entered the kitchen he falied to notice if any body was in there.

Her features softened and she quite simply stood for a moment accepting the kiss and looking into his deep, powerful eyes. She ignored the other presence in the room and just stared at Nelphean, laying a hand on his cheek. "You know not all the roads I have traveled, and you said that my courage is why I am your Sweet. Should not utter devotion and courage be enough? For I am ready enough with those."

"It is not a question of ready, nor is it a question of any other sort. It is actually a matter of principle." Nelphean said calmly, "I am not rejecting you, I am simply walking with you. This is the true difference between elves and humans. When elves are in love, they walk the path together, having all eternity to share in it. Walking the path means that we get to smell the roses, and feel the breeze upon our brow, and enjoy life to its fullest at all times. The human rush complicates the relationship, shortens the romance, and hastens the family." Nelphean didn't think he was explaining this very well so he added, "As a city might be founded in the sands by setting a foundation of stone, so too such a foundation would strengthen love."
