Deep with the bowls of hell, Asrael pondered the question of Nelphean. The small shadow had given Asrael a brillent technique in crushing that callous elf...

Life on the estate was grand, with no cares and very comfortable. Aurora had no idea how Nelphean was able to sell a broken bow, and buy so much stuff. The water in the pool was said to be from some exotic lake in a place that apparently has magical water... SHe ahd had very little luck in calming the enraged offspring, but at least he no longer went on his daily hunts for the father who was not the evil creature he was made out to be...

Confused as ever, Nelphean sat on the roof of the manor, and watched the clouds dance about. Some magical barrier prevented the rain from falling on the manor, and Nelphean was wondering what a marvelous idea that was. The strong magic of the manor had an ill effect on the weather, causing the sourrounding area to always rain. Nelphean missed his children, and Monolith. They were a bright bit of joy in the otherwise sourly depressing world he had to live in. The scent of demons was e'er closer to the elf, and he could feel the breath of Shez'Golith on his very neck. Imps frequented he manor at night, stealing bits of hair and string, dust and food. A war was brewing, but nothing could be done in the defense of the manor that hadden't already been done. Nelphean watched the shape of the clouds, and remembered that his new pets needed to be let out o the vaults...

Soon Nelphean would be put to the test, and the elf will either faulter like his predicessors, or survive. Caliburn felt the growing tension in the air, as the inhabitants of the manor grew more unstable, and more vilent each passing day. The strength and courage of the lot could power the entire world, but the despair would vforever impart them from success. The sword contemplated life after the samll elf had grown away from the blade, hopeflly the creature would not leave him in a stone, or a mantle. Caliburn lothed the uselessness of being an object of art. He longed for the crusades against evil, he awaited the hand of a vailent knight to wield this blade until the end of time, when all evil had been put to rest, and Caliburn could return to the celestial plains, and live happily with his kindred spirits...

The forest rain was slowing to a halt, as the two cloaked figure walked towards there destination...

The goblinkin watched the travellers with open mows, drooling their hunger onto ther ground. The tasty meat was walking towars them on a tall horse of black fur, and the three creatures would make a very lucious treat... the goblinkin scratched their bark-like skin, and prepaired to attack.

The travellers had no idea of the peral that awaited them along the next ben in the road, nor need they care. This world proved itself not to be the threat of the last these two were on...

The goblins jumped from their concielment and attacked the seemingly surprised duet. Much to the despair of the goblins, one of the cloaked figures drew a long, slender purple blade. THis cuased the goblins to stop, but they changed tactics and ran in a circle around the horse. The rider who was armed shook his head, and leaped from the horse, and into the ranks of goblins. The creatures were shocked by the viggor of this warrior, and hestitated their attacks. This was to the favour of the lone warrior...

The purple sword cut through the goblins with such ease, that none could escape the blades penetrating grasp. From one goblin to the next, they fell in succession. The goblins paniced and tried to flee, but the lone warrior was hungry today, and slew each and every one in a few attacks. The traveller who remained on the horse grined at the carnage, and called for the warrior to return to the horse. The smiling victor slpit on one of the corpses,

"What a was of time, they could not even hold the blade with their entire body." Hissed the warrior.

"Well love, they are only goblinoids after all... Aww, you have a blood splot on your cloak..." Grined the rider, cooing the warrior with her sweet voice.

"Not right now dearest. We have to keep travelling if we hope to get there before suns down." He walked up beside his companion, and easily mounted the horse, "Night, keep going." Ordered the warrior to the mount.

((Love making posts just because I can...and color!))

"But she's alright?"

"She's just fine Eclipse."

"But she won't see me..."

"She never said that. You're feeling exactly what she is. But you have to ask yourself, can you face Nelphean as well? He was there. And the others, do you act different to them now? And Ary, what of her?"

"I...I don't know anymore Coban..."

"You should know the answer to that already though. Nothing should change. Yes, you made the same mistake twice, but both in essence were accidents. Accidents aren't anyone's fault. Just something unfortunate that happens. Come now, you think like a human, you should know all of this."

"Coban, lighten up on the poor thing. It's harder for him than it is for you to even try to be understanding to it."

"He's sulking. Sulking will get you nowhere Eclipse."

"I know...don't preach to me."

Nelphean's ears twitched, something was coming for him, somethig greatly diabolical... Nelphean stood on the roof, and serveyed the lands, his eyes focusing on places a human could only dream of seeing... He could not tell what it was, but it was roughly rider shaped, and somewhat slow, as though the horse was carring too much weight... Nelphean thought long and hard about all of the things wrong with that situation, and was distracted by the smell of acidic air, as a small portal opend below him. Two imps jumped out as the portal closed, and they laughed with there naucious voices.

"Ok, you get the kitty hair, And I will get the little girl hair." The creatures giggled as they phased through the walls.

"They get more bold every day. Its like they are just her for the sole reason to torment me." Nelphean wondered about all of the implications of what they were saying... Hair... why on earth did they want hair... "Charms, love potions, summons..." Nelphean ran through his inventory of spells, and could not place his finger on what the imps might be thinking. "I would want hair to mimic smell... Maybe they are thinking of kidnapping them, and replaceing them with douplegangers... No, douples wouldn't need such materials..." He returned to scaning the horizon for the rider, but could not find him under the brush.

Wind whispered by Saradin, the same winds that didnt ever carry the stormy clouds high above from the manor as they should. Not quite as high up as he watched the trickling raindrops rebound from the invisible barrier over the open rooftop. It was a soothing atmosphere that he just slipped out of reality in. He couldnt forget the one that sat in the hands of his enemies, but knew that he could do nothing now. Maybe letting go was honestly the best choice for him, there would be a time to act, and he would take it. For now life had to resume normaly, so he sighed and closed his eyes, imagining the cleansing rain penetrating the mystic wall and cleansing his heart of fear. It was good, even if only an illusion.

He padded slowly as one could with four feet to carry you. Ears drooped low and wings slacked slightly. He could suffer in his pool of self pity until he reached the manor anyway. Then feign happy when he got there. "Do I have to go back?"

"Yes you do. And you know that. Just because I stand up for you doesn't mean that I'm going to tell you to abandon the manor and everyone there because you're ashamed of yourself. Which you shouldn't even be. Like Coban said, it was an accident."

"If I hadn't of been playing around, if I had just never tried it in the first place. It never would of happened though."

"What ifs are something that you shouldn't dwell on dear Eclipse. They'll get you no where and only weaken your heart." She stepped before him into the open courtyard, stopping to wait for him as he slowly dragged himself over. "Don't slouch your wings, it's bad for them."

He couldn't help but chuckle. "Yes 'mother'..." He fixed his posture, making himself look more presentable and less like he was wading in his own personal pity pool.

Nelphean heard the conversation by the door, and noted the despair... "Hey, thats one cute voice..." He muttered as he jumped off the roof, and landed softly as a feather behind the despaired wolf.

"Is now a bad time?" The elf asked cheerfully, as though nothing had happened between Eclipse and Bastet. "And might I inqusit into that charming voice I here?" Smiled the elf.

Caclryx was far to out of touch for the level of thinking that Saradin was involved in, but it still wasnt clear if that was for better or worse. Having already brushed off his close encounter with the alien entity 'Piper', he had reclaimed his door and was still looking for a place to hang it. The door to food idea seemed less apealing now and might upset the creature that he theorized may be living in the kitchen.

Instead, he was up on the roof pestering Saradin about it with various comments that ranged from:
"Where should I put it?"
"What do you think of it?"
"Should I have painted it a different color?"
"Its a very nice door in my opinion."

Eclipse's ears perked for a second before circling around to stand partly behind Kali...which he didn't know why he did it anyway, for hiding behind a semi-transparent woman seemed rather useless. "Hello Nelphean, no, no now's not a bad time...at all..."

She looked back at Eclipse for a moment and patted him on the head. "Chin up Eclipse." Her attention then turned to Nelphean as she looked him over once, then smiled. "Well Ary was right about him to a t. Hello Nelphean." She tilted her head to the side in all to recognizable fashion to someone else's mannerisms.

"Its never a bad time when you are in the company of a beautiful woman, be she a ghost or alive." Nelphean bowed, "I am Nelphean, as you ahve heard, and hopefully those stories have not stained your life with tedious boredom. Are you by chance related to Piper?" Recalling th first ghost he meet.

Nelphean looked at Eclipse and smiled, "No need to hide from me, goodly Sun Shadow."

"I see why you call him Quicksilver, it fits." She nodded once then stepped aside from Eclipse, and then returned her attention to Nelphean. "In fact I am my good elf, I'm her mother in fact. And I'm guessing that she's met you at a time when she was sneaking about, for she's made no comments on you."

He was berating himself in his head. He needed to stop this, but he still felt so guilty. And Nelphean was acting like nothing ever happened. How could he do that? The wolf had been told that the elf had only heard not seen it all, but sometimes that was worse than actually seeing things. "Goodly Sun Shadow..."
PostPosted: Sat Feb 05, 2005 3:56 pm

"I think Piper was sneaking about at that time," Looking down at Sun Shadow, Nelphean noted the pain. "Forgiveness is the only thing I can give." Nelphean said softly as a gentle wind.

"Quicksilver, the poet who's inspiration is irratic, yet divine." Laughing elfishly, the flirt streightened his pose

"Alas, thy beauty is one that lasts the passage of time, good mistress. But, if I allow myself to get carried away, I sense that I shall enjoy the pleasure of someone's jealousy." Nelphean turned his head slightly, mimicing distress, 'But, how am I to endure this loneliness I shall forever hold in you absense, fair maiden!" Nelphean placed an arm aloofly across his brow, in an over dramatised pose. "I guess, all we shall share is our brief moment together, one which we can tease Sun Shadow about fore'er..." Nelphean facked a depressed face, but then returned to reality.

"I realy should control myself when I get carried away, I might hurt someone." He shook his head, remembering a handful of youths that grew up to know only the love of one elf. "I can be overpowering, or at least, I once was." He smiled. "It is nice to meet you."

She laughed at the over dramatic tone he carried. "Quite the character indeed. Careful good Nelphean, you may end up hurting yourself, along with those others you speak of." Pausing for a moment she smiled. "But how are you dear? Last I heard your eyes were suffering from your sword."

His ears couldn't help but lift, in a motion of what would of been a smile, could he have done the action, at what Nelphean said. At least he knew Nelphean wasn't going to bear grudge against him, at least he hoped he didn't. "Thank you Nelphean."
