Dark smiles at Hopes reaction to his question. "You'd think I offered her a pottle of poison. Shade did just that and she still adores him." He looks into Hopes eyes with his own black orbs. "Are you afraid of me, my dear?"

Hope stared up at him, pulling the blanket up slightly furthur before giving a tiny and weak nod. "Y...y-you're intimidating, s-sir.." she murmured quietly as her slender fingers fiddled with the edge of the blanket. Was he mad? Would he get upset? Or would he simply continue to smile and examine her with those deep, dark eyes? She didn't know, but she did know that Dark was one of those people you should keep your distance from.

"That's a yes then? You should be, I don't have the power I once did, but the more people who fear me the more I gain back. Soon I will drive that demon off of my throne and take back what is rightfully mine." He regards Hope curiously. "I suppose I should thank you. If they succeed with this plan I will gain back all that I have lost and more. And all because Shade does not want you to die."

Hope shivered from underneath her blanket at the thought, knowing that it wouldn't be good if that happened. "Sh-shade's strong, h-he won't l-let something like that h-happen.." she murmured quietly as she clutched onto the edge of the blanket. "Sh-shade will make s-sure that everything's a-alright." she said softly as she stared upward, avoiding Dark's gaze.

Dark chuckles coldly. "Of that I am certain. That one has a good sense of what to do and when to do it, and he cares too much for you to fail. Would you like to know why he serves me?" Dark asks.

Hope blinked a bit then hesitated before speaking again. "Wh..why does h-he work for y-you..?" she asked quietly and cautiously while pulling the blanket down a bit. She looked up at him, blinking again as she watched the shadowy man's face.

Dark smiles at her sudden interest. "He works for me because of a deal we made. He helps me get back my power and I give him the means to take his vengance on Twilight. Shame he wasn't stronger though, all that power and not enough stamina to use it effectively. Unless his health improves I think I may have wasted my efforts on him."

Hope blinked and looked down a bit at her blanket, quietly thinking what he had told her. She shivered when he mentioned Twilight then frowned a bit: Shade worthless? No, not at all. "S-so..what h-happens when you get a-all your power o-or if Sh-shade gets his revence on Twilight..?" she asked quietly, wondering what would happen.

Hope thought quietly for a few moments, wondering about Shade and what Twilight took from him. "O-oh.." she murmured quietly before lightly clutching onto her wound again and giving a shakey sigh: she missed Shade and the others. "Sh..Shade w-will be back soon, r-right?" she asked in her soft and quiet voice before looking up at Dark.

Hope turned her head to look then closed her eyes, feeling very tired because of the constant pain of her wound.
(Should I bring Xavier back in? Not much else seems to be happening at the moment.)

Xavier lightly walked over towards Dark and Hope, licking his bloody chops as he searched for Shade and Hope: Where was everyone..? Xavier lightly yawned before spotting Dark and Hope. He could smell Hope's blood and his nostrals flared as he turned and briskly walked over, quickly glancing at them both. "What happened?" he demanded, his wings stretching a bit before folding across his back once more.
