I'm totally screwed. My parents and all my friends seem to have gone on holiday at the same time (conspiracy?), and none of the people inside my computer are dancing like monkeys for my entertainment.

I can't even find a DVD that I actually want to watch, or a book I want to read. You know it's all very well and good to stuff your shelves with this intellectual crap, but sometimes you just wanna watch/read something that's just for fun and doesn't contend to make some wider comment on Society with an ending that is at best ambiguous and at worst highly apocolyptic and suicide-inducing.

And the USB cable for my iPod has burnt out so I can't sync it up. Woes.

Being bored sucks. You could find some old tv show to watch online.

I have jelly babies. heart

They claim to have only natural colours and flavours. Makes me wonder what their definition of 'natural' is.

Well, Harry Potter is now out in the UK... I love how the people at the front of the queue in London apparently all flew in especially from Europe (specifically Holland) to get it.

Here a major Road was closed off at 8 to accommodate an enormous Harry Potter party before the official release of the book at midnight. Me, I was in my bed sleeping the whole night xD.

I want to know what happens to Harry! 3nodding

I just don't feel like getting the book or waiting for it or whatever.

Why don't you feel like getting the book?

Because its sub-par literature ...?

I actually bought it, and I thought it was better than Half-Blood Prince (which has the best name out of any in the series, so it's kind of sad that it was so badly-written). Although the ending was so anti-climatic and frankly weird.

Also, Neville is the real hero.

What's been going on with me, you say? Well, I am at work 30 hours a week... Yuck. Erik stays home with Micah and doesn't do anything all day >.<. I come home weary from work to a big fat mess and a 1 1/2 year old who hasn't been stimulated all day.

Basically... Little time for Gaia. I mean, right now I'm eating breakfast while typing this, cause I gotta go to work in ten minutes.

(I wonder what they're doing to the marketplace...) ninja

What, in general or out of Harry Potter? I thought Prisoner of Azkaban was the most well-written.

For the record I don't think the Harry Potter books are bad -- I also just don't think they're made of sparkly, glittering brilliance.

In general, Catch-22 is my favourite book. I also like Peter Pan, The Bell Jar, Fahrenheit 451, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, etc. For fantasy I guess the Earthsea books (much better than the telemovie made them out to be), and for children's fantasy His Dark Materials or Narnia.

I feel like I'm missing a load. But I'm tired so it's all good.

Interesting. I think I might get the Earthsea books. What about your favorite T.V. show?
