"I only wish it was so simple." By now his eyes were completely shut, and he was growing distant from the world around him. "Going back, I'll give up my peace... but staying, I'll probably die." By now, he couldn't even feel the water on his skin any longer. "Death or torture... what should I choose..."

Eclipse moved over to Saradin, resting his head on his shoulder. He could always give Saradin some of his energy, but Saradin probably wouldn't allow it, even if the wolf's shadow signature was different from any normal darkness, his was well, purer if that made any sense. He let out a soft bark to Saradin, followed up by a whimper and a paw at his arm. Had Saradin forgotten everything Aurahkah had told him? Or how much the manor needed him? Yet despite everything he was allowing himself to slip away. The winged creature growled slightly. There was an answer to every problem, Saradin just didn't' seem to be looking hard enough.

Khenu drew away some at Eclipse's growling. No matter how gentle everyone called the wolf it was still a wolf, a wolf that could fly in fact or seemed so. If you had wings then you should be able to fly right?

He swallowed and tried to concentrate on what Saradin was saying. "You shouldn't want to die. People usually run from things like that I mean I did. But torture doesn't seem right either."

Khenu frowned. If he could do something he would of, but he didn't know what to do.

"But.... if I... what... my..." Saradin's broken sentences trailed off as he slipped away. Now unconcious, Saradin continued to mumble to himself about various things, rarely making sense. Inside, his body was grinding to a halt, a sad yet happy end for him should he have been awake for it. Deep inside his mind though, one thing gave him direction. There was still one person left, one clouded from sight that was waiting for his death, smiling. Heavy lids shot apart, Saradin thrust himself from the ground, searching for answers to half formed answers by looking around him. Once his mind had settled, he looked to Khenu and Eclipse. "I can't move myself."

Bradwen suddenly snapped his fingers and looked up, a smile a confidence on his face.

"I knew it! I can't remember who that is at all!" he said, rubbing the back of his head. "But I'm sure I know him."

Bradwen looked back over at the yard, seeing that now Eclipse had joined the two figures. He figured it'd do him little good to just keep sitting there in the rain trying to identify people he had only a vague recolection of. Maybe if caould actually make out distince features he could figure out who those people were thought Bradwen. Realizing his left arm was little better off, he put his strength into his right and struggled to stand up and went through the awkward task of brushing himself off and fixing all his armor and pouches with his one good arm.

Eclipse barked at Saradin and processed the situation quickly. Saradin couldn't possibly weigh more than him, and hey he had done it with Bastet. In a few minutes, Eclipse had managed himself under Saradin, letting him sit on his back and lean forward against his shoulder. Not heavy at all. He splayed his wings for new found balance and barked for Khenu to follow as he walked slowly inside, not wanting to jostle Saradin too much.

Khenu blinked then smiled and stood and followed after the wolf. he put a hand of Saradin's shoulder, offering what little balance he could for him.
"Good thinking Eclipse."

He then concentrated on Saradin once more. "Where do we need to take you then? Any place specific, or something specific you need?"

"Thank you, Eclipse." Once inside, Saradin guided the wolf. "Just take me somewhere I can get some rest. I need to think..."

((damn you symphonia! roomate is playing it and I keep getting drawn in by that glowing screen... I'll try to not be so distracted from here on))

Bradwen's blood loss caught up with him as his vision stated to blur and darken.

"Well crap. I should've taken care of that instead of poking it relentlessly shouldn't I have?" he said, sitting back down and holding the shirt around his wound closed to help heal as he passed out against the steel fence. "Just need...a few...winks..."

((Ack. I gotta go. Gaia'll be on maintenance soon anyway. I guess I'll be back tomorrow then.))

(( Lol, careful , them plot twists will melt your brain. And by my calculation, gaia maintenance will commence at 1:00AM EST, which is us really...wow I sounded all tech!))

Eclipse folded his wings and continued on. 'What better place to rest than in your own room'. Sure Saradin couldn't hear him, but his own silence was killing him. He made his way carefully upstairs, finding Saradin's room solely on scent and managed his door open. Now in his room hie crawled onto Saradin's bed where in a great display of wings and shoulder manipulation he slid the man off so that he was resting comfortably. Eclipse then laid at the edge of Saradin's bed, his forepaws and head resting on his ankles. He'd stay for a while until asked to fetch someone/thing, or as long as he was wanted to stay.

((Well I don't want to be around when maintenance hits so I'm taking his example and calling it a night. Cya.))

He had watched Eclipse walk of with Saradin, and he would of followed or even gone to tell Aura, but it didn't seem his place to. Saradin seemed like a serious man one who wanted to tend to his own problems first before dragging in others.

Besides the boy's empathic sense seemed to tell him to leave well enough alone and if he felt he should help judged on Saradin's feeling that he would. Eclipse seemed capable to handle the man on his own.

Khenu made his way outside, sitting back down next to the pot he had on the fire, the stuff in it having barely done a thing and sat down next to it watching it but keeping his senses tuned to Saradin.

"Thank you." Without giving it much thought he quizzed Eclipse on how he felt in the matter. "Eclipse, what about you? What does that darkness do to your mind? For the first time ever, I've been thinking freely, without that corrupting touch. I don't want to let it go. Countless times it almost took my mind." Covering his face with with one hand, tring to squeeze away the growing pains, he floundered and asked one last question. "What should I do?"

Eclipse moved himself up so that he was lying beside Saradin, resting his head on his chest. He licked the hand that was over his face, and just stared at him. He couldn't think of a way to show coexistence. Or maybe he could. He left the room briefly and came back rather quickly, a familiar golden collar with an orb of swirling darkness attached to it. Surely Saradin remembered this, Eclipse had been wearing it when they met, when the wolf had attacked him. That's what the darkness did to his mind, it made him crazy and a monster as well.

In essence Eclipse went through the same thing Saradin was going through now. Loss of darkness that led only to one's destruction. It was gradual like Saradin's, the fatigue, the pain. Eclipse just lost feathers as well. What did he do? he gave into the darkness let his body be taken by it but held tight to his heart and soul, the only way to protect them and his mind was to remember what he had and how much he didn't want to loose that.

So yes, coexist was the right word. It was a fill your fuel tanks and ride them till there empty deal. To breathe it in and exhale slowly. To hold on and let go over time rather than constantly holding on. When the tanks were empty and the pain set back in, the process only needed repeating. 'Coexistence.' He set the collar on the floor and jumped back up on the bed, just lying next to Saradin.

Thoughts only clear enough to recognize the collar placed with him, he struggled to find words. "No need... I.. can bring in the power myself..." As if he understood what the other shade thought he sat up, and focused his mind. Drawing in power, he gathered strength and sat up, while reenforcing his mind for the coming struggle. "I'm... just to weak..."

If Saradin couldn't do it himself, then Eclipse would have to help him along. He slipped off the bed again and gathered his collar up, using his end feathers on his wings to hold it up so he could slip the collar on. sure he didn't need it, wasn't even supposed to have it on right now. He climbed back up and settled his fore half on Saradin and let himself sink back into the well of his powers, gaining the glow he had been demonstrating the last week or so. Thus he conducted the dark energy from the collar to himself, then conducted it from himself to Saradin. He just had to keep in control and not let Aurahkah know, she would severely hurt him for this if he lost it. 'Think Eclipse, don't let your mind fog.'.
