She giggled again at Calcryx's reactions. "You're right daddy, he's thinking too hard." Turning her attention for a moment she stood and skipped across the table, carefully around the door, and over to Nailah, where she gave the woman a curtsy. "Hello Miss Nailah. I'm Piper, Ahkah's my big sister. She's mentioned you." She then tucked the pen she had behind Nailah's ear and was back over next to Calcryx again. This time watching his tape recorder.
"I bet you could give him an EVP on that little one. Worth a shot if you really want to talk to him. His name is Calcryx. Don't forget your manners either young lady."
"I know daddy, I know." She leaned over Calcryx's recorder. "Hello Sir Calcryx." She then pressed stop, then rewind on the recorder and backed off to sit on the table in front of him again."

Calcryx watched the recorder with intense fascination and his fingers trembling in anticipation, hit play. "Crrrrsshhhhhiiiissssllll" The static went, far to loud for background sounds. He turned up the volume to max and played it again. Over the thick unnatural static a faint voice could be made out, "He.l. .ir Cal..yx." He scribbled down the broken word fragments as best he could understand them and sat bewildered, without much regard to the others in the room. "What is it trying to tell me?"

Shin stared at the man.
"You are either very ignorant, of very niave."
she looked from the two ghosts and back to Calryx.
"But then, you can't see them, can you?"

Coban himself had to laugh. Here Calcryx was trying to pick apart a simple hello and give it more meaning than just the greeting it was. "Good thing you don't have an urgent message for him. Might be here all night." Again he clasped his hands behind his back in relaxed fashion. "Give him your name."
It was simple enough. Less syllables and the like. Nodding once she leaned in over the recorder again, and pressed record. "I'm Piper." Again, stop, rewind and sit to wait.

".'m Pi.er" Doubting entirely that the spirit had come to discuss pie with him, Calcryx took continued scrawling extra notes about it in obscure languages as he baked his brain to understand it. Though on other topics, he was at least partly aware of Shin now at least, a dragon not being low on his list of attention grabbers. "I am certainly not ignorant. And no I can not see anything. What exactly can you see?"

Elias strolled back into the kitchen but this time he was in the form of the giant white bengal tiger with the blank white eyes. The creature looked at Naliah and Shin with the dragon on her shoulder. Elias the tiger let out a powerful roar, and nudged up against the leg of Naliah purring as he did so, It seemed that Elias was getting far to int character.

"Guy and a little girl. the kids the one talking to you. pretty kid. you're a very technical man, arent you?"
she asked, tail flicking behind her.

Heading back to Nailah, she took back the pen that Calcryx had earlier and then again flopped down on the table next to the notepad. Leaning over, she decided to do it this way. In clear letters she wrote out what she had been earlier trying to say. 'Hello Sir Calcryx, I'm Piper.' "That should do it."
"Ah yes, ghost notes. Very smart my Piper." He laughed again and took to being a very pleased spectator. Then he turned to look at the girl with the dragon. "Good to know you can see me. Introductions in order. I'm Coban, and this is my daughter Piper."

she chuckled.
"It is nice to meet you, Coban, Piper." she said, bowing slightly.
"My name is Shinga." she nodded to the newhatched dragon on her shoulder. "This is Tularie."

"Piper..." He read aloud, still trying to determine the origin of this thing. "Apparently, a girl... Hmm, fascinating. And it knows my name. Does this mean they understand my speech? Or is it... reading my mind through some bizarre power... You... woman with... dragon. What do you know?"

He chuckled. "Yes, that you would be. And a lovely little dragon she is too. Haven't seen a live one in years." He'd leave his daughter to her pranks. She was enjoying herself and staying out of trouble. And so his attention focused on Shinga.
She just broke out into a fit of giggles. He was really making too much of a deal out of this. And she was just having too much fun. Again leaning over the pad, she wrote more for him. 'You think too hard.'

Elias roared once more, only nowhere near as loud as the first time and set his large tiger body unto the floor, and simply watched the others, he was not yer aware why he was becoming so much enthralled in his tiger form, he did have another two, but he had never had any use for them. He looked at all gathered with his blank white eyes and was happy to see that the dragon had been born, but it also brought him great sadness becuase it meant that her old dragon friend, had alreasy died.

Shin wasn't impressed.
"It's Shin."
"I know a lot. Basically, theres probally some really odd reason why you can't see or hear them. They can see and hear you. according to the contracts written up right after I was born, theres no allowance of mind reading of non willing beings, unless its exteinuating circumstances. I'm not sure if that applies to the non corpreal though. I do know that I would get in a lot of trouble if I tried it. I wouldn't try reading to much in to anything they try and tell you, most of them are straight forward and all. anything else ou want to know?"
she glancd at Elias.
"I wouldn't stay in that shape to long, Comrade. its not your true form, and being in that one can cause problems. mainly being unable to change back."
She blinked, before shaking her head.

Calcryx's eyes openned wide as the message wrote itself and he shot up from his seat, backing away from the table slowly. "It CAN read my mind!" Slowly, he edged towards the door, still in a sort of shock. "I think I prefer mind reading alien entities at arms length..." Then stepped out the door closing it quietly behind him, then running headlong for safety.
((Sorry for such an abrupt and.,.. silly... exit. But im freakin tired!))
