Godric smashed against the shield, which was strong enough to hold off his attack. This did not deter him, though. Rather, he was even more excited about the battle now. His ears caught the few words they exchanged, and he couldn't help but laugh as he got to his feet. "Why would I be after the shard of ice? Ice has power, true, but I never held any desire for the powers of ice. Animal, metal, earth, and gravity... those four are the ones that once I called my own. Fight me single-handedly if you will, shard holder. But it will take more than one puny brat to take me down."
All of his wounds from the battle had already sealed up, only scars that were barely visible were left where the wounds had once been, and they would be gone later as well. His scarred forehead glowed dully as he tried to anticipate his prey's next move. He really didn't care if the ice shard escaped from this battle, it had only been a ploy to pull out the animal shardholder which he had been so sure was nearby.

Rin rolled her eyes and pushed his weapon down, he obviously hadn't been wtachign the battle very closely for if he had he would have know that weapons would merely rust when they touched his blood and a rusted weapon was nothign to rely upon.
It looked like she would need to stay to help out, if Godric was hell bent on getting that shard she didn't doubt that he would indeed get it one way or another.
"Look im staying. We can't beat him alone and there is no point in letting him take what he wants and your weapon will be of no use...his blood rusts weapons
She was whispering quietly, though she knew Godric had probably heard every word she had said, but she didn't care. What mattered now was comeing up with a plan to at least stop him in his tracks.

He cursed lightly under his breath.
"So running is out of the question eh?" he said, cracking a small grin. With a smaill sigh he snapped his fingers and his weapon disappeared. With another wave of his hand he stregthened the shield. Then, his eyes lit up. Waving his hand again, he warped the shield ito a bubble around the demon.
"That will hold him slightly longer. If weapons are no use, and all I can do is shapeshift, what good are we?"

"You have to have at least one offensive power...right? something to fight back with otherwise this battle will be rather quick"
Rin was becoming slightly concerned, if he didn't have an offensive power then how did he intend to fight Godric?
Rin sighed and shook her head, Godric hadn't weakened at all whilst they were fighting so he was still going strong. It looked like she would have to use another of her powers to help them out this time...either that or they both escaped.
If he can shapeshift then he could leave the forest...and loose the demon for a bit, but would it work?
"We could try to escape"

"My psychokinetic powers can be offensive. I can also use that power to shield my weapon from the rust. Either that or I can shapeshift into an animal that can do major harm. As for escape, wouldn't he be able to follow me?"
He was getting worried now. When he had accepted the shard from the wandering man, he had envisioned a peaceful exiestence, taking care of the creatures of the forest, not a running life of battles.

"Sad, pitiful, nasty, brutish, ugly humans," Godric said from inside of the bubble. Such a technique was useful to hold Godric back, even if just temporarily. However, he had heard all he had to in order to defeat the both of them. The animal shard holder had revealed his power to the demon, and the ice shard holder obviously did not understand the full extent of his ability to 'rust weapons'. Knowing these two things, he quickly formulated plan to beat the pair of them.
"The human mind is weak, and cannot hold me here for long. You will be forced to release me soon, and then I will seek you out and take your shard. You should be glad that I have no intention of killing you, yet." Godric pushed against the walls with all of his might, seeing if the shield would budge with this, or if he would have to use the other escape method.

Rin watched Godric pushing against the walls of the shield, this wasn't good. She had no plan and no idea just how strong he was. In truth everything she had done was just anything to protect herself as well as to land a few attacks. Even then it seemed like these attacks were pitiful. Narrowing her eyes she tried to think of someway to attack without Godric getting his hands on the animal shard.
"How long can you hold that shield for?"

Trip looked at Rin, sweat running down his face, strain evident.
"At this rate, half an hour tops." he said. "I've never had to push my abilities this far."
He grunted again as he added more power to the bubble. Through his mind, thoughts flew as he tried to think of means of escape. He could easily make it to the Forest Haven, where the demon would be unable to touch him, but his own sense of honor would not allow him to leave the ice shard holder behind.
"I'm Trip by the way," he smiled weakly at her.

"Rin, Is there anywhere we can go without him getting to us? I dont know the area that well and it would do us well to get away and fight another day"
She gave a very small smile that soon faded as she watched Trip straining himself to keep the shield up, at this rate he would knock himself out and then there really would be no point. But if there was a place they could go without being attacked by Godric it would do them the world of good, even if it meant Trip leaving her behind it would be good seeing as Godric had no plans for her shard.
"He's not after me...you should go"

Killarney rode atop her Friesian, Avalon, and enjoyed the dappled sun warming her skin. She had been travelling for many days and was taking more or less of a break now, instead of pushing herself and her horse to keep going.
Her slender hand ran up and down Avalon's neck, enjoying the feel of the soft hair. Maybe later she'll braid some of the mane and tail of her horse.
After a bit of slowly riding at a steady walk, she heard talking and noise up ahead. Kill narrowed her eyes and strained to listen. She spoke to her horse in her home tongue and Avalon stopped.
She slid down out of the saddle and tied the reins to a tree trunk.
"I'm just going to check what's going on, dear friend. I will be back soon."
She checked the Napoleon sword strapped to her side and then pulled her long blue hair back into a ponytail to keep it out of her eyes.
Silent as a void, Kill stepped through the brush and trees to peer upon what was happening.
She saw a man who had captured another man in some sort of barrier, and a woman standing nearby
She continued to watch, and to wait.

"There is the forest haven," he grunted. "Nothing evil can apss through its barriers on pain of death."
He watched Rin closely, waiting for a reaction. At the same time, he reached out his mind, sensing for any animals that might be near enough to answer his call for help should she need a ride. He was surprised to feel the touvh of a horses mind so close by, and even mroe surprised to discover the horse was tame.

Kill heard her horse lightly whinney and make some noise. She turned away from her position and looked back toward Avalon. Her horse wanted her to know something, and she knew it had something to do with the people ahead of her. Who is bothering my horse?
She knew her horse couldn't leave because it was tied up so she didn't worry about that. Instead, she went back into her spot and stared intently at the two men and the woman. Which one...
Her telekinetic powers wouldn't be able to help her find out, nor her earth powers. She became a little frustrated.

Something was working away in Rins mind as Trip mentioned the haven, it was perfect if they could escape and escape they would. A small smile appeared on Rins lips as she looked from Godric back to Trip and whispered Ever so quietly to him. "Then be prepare to run".
It was all she said, she didn't want to let Godric know what she planning, plus it would mean preparing him for another one of her powers.
She placed her hand on the jewel hanging from her neck and closed her eyes as she focused on the winter storm that would cover the entire forest in a blizzard of snow and ice.
I shouldn't be doing this, but i have no choice if we are to escape...damn!

Kill stepped back, feeling the slight change in the air. It's getting colder.. She looked over at the people and sighed. She walked back to her horse and untied her.
"Looks like we have to get out of here, then. Things are going to happen and I care not to be a part of it."
Placing her right foot in one of the stirrups, she gripped the saddle and swung up until she sat on top of her horse. She directed Avalon around the tree and headed around the edge of the people, hoping to not be noticed.

Trip could feel the air around him getting cold at an incredibly fast rate. He concentrated on the bubble he had the demon trapped in, and searched through his memory of the different creatures he had encountered through his travels. Finally he settled on one that could carry Rin to the haven swiftly. He felt a tingle in the back of his neck as the power of the shard came to life.
"I'm prepared Rin, I'm prepared." he said, as a feather pattern began to appear on his arms.
