Pheaura's ears perked up when she heard Vik speak of his tournament. She really wished she could join, but with Quain's death it was a bad idea. She might take her emotions out on someone buy physically hurting them...alot. She didn't want to do that. "Hello," she waved to her friends, and managed a weak smile for them.

Khenu laughed nervously. "I don't think it's a good idea to send me into something like that with the unstable powers I have...I'd probably end up doing something I'd regret.

He stood up, his pant legs a little more dry and grabbed his shirt slipping it on. Looking over to where Phea's voice came from he smiled happily at her and gave her an energetic wave. "Hiya Phea!"

Turning back to his project, he looked inside the pot. "Oh this could take hours..."

((So Khenu, should I put you on the No list or the Not sure list?))
"Oh. I understand. Guess that's a no then. Thanks anyways. Let me know if you change your mind."

He heard a Pheaura's voice and turned around.
"Hey Phea. I heard what happened to Quain. I'm really sorry."

He looked back at what Khenu was doing.
"Can I help? What are you trying to do?"

Bastet turned from what she was doing and shook her head. Good thing Khenu had turned the offerdown, Vik couldn't of been serious. Khenu's powers weren't trained at all and very hazardous in their uncontrolled state. In a moment of fright or excitement that could prove hazardous for the young boy. "Maybe once he's trained more Vik, you can take Khenu on, but till then I think the little lightening rod should stick to sidelines." She grinned, applying the term she had heard from Aura.

(( Going, my net needs some maintanence its being stupid....))

((That be a no, not really in the mood to do a tourney))

Khenu frowned at the nickname he had apparently been given but shrugged it off and returned to Vik's question. "Oh I'm trying to make glass like I was taught fro this thing I'm trying to do."

He grabbed his socks and slipped them back on followed by his boots and he stood again toeing the ground with his boots to make sure they were on good. "I guess you can help if you want to." He sat back down then layed back in the grass, closing his eyes. "It's still gonna take hours..."

((Guess I'll go stalk some threads for a while, f someone gets back on PM if you're in the mood to RP.))

Bradwen lifts up his leg and kicks hard into a nearby rotting tree. The woods splinters easily and the crackling bark collapses upon itself, allowing gravity to continue the decline. Bradwen's foot however, did not come back so easily. The bark had broken just large enough to entrap his foot inside, and Bradwen's lack of balance did not give him much chance to pull his foot free at this late point. The tree fell over and broke into several pieces, one of the largest pulling Bradwen's foot...and consequently Bradwen along for the ride. The piece retained it's shape for the most part and bounced once or twice before crossing the threshold of the hillside.
"I don't think that was my best move..." Bradwen said, glancing down at his apparantly new path.
The log bounced once more and reached high enough to meet with Bradwen's body, knocking the wind from his lungs and giving him less possibility to stuggle until it decided when and where Bradwen would stop. As the downhill roll commenced, it was all Bradwen could do to to angle the log to avoid smashing him into a tree, unfortunately this left him wide open to the various shrubbery, including briar patches. Not to mention he was still being rolled over by a log every few moments. The wild ride started speeding up, and made it impossible for Bradwen to angle himself right to kick his leg out from the hole, that seemed to only minorly be wearing away. Just then he noticed he wasn't getting squished anymore.
"Owowowoww...wha?" he said, looking around.
He was still spinning, yes, but Bradwen was no longer earthbound. The log had jumped a small cliff, maybe fifteen or twenty feet high, and was now propelling him upwards, until gravity kicked in again. Bradwen tried to make out where he would be landing despite all the spinning, and behold! He could finally see the manor once again!
"Haha! I guess this was a bit more conveinient than it looks!" he said, a smiled breaking on his face.
The smile soon faded as he saw where the downward decent was leading him. The iron fence surrounding him was coming into view, right below him. Bradwen held on tight and tried to force the log to go farther or closer, whichever one would get him to not skewer himself on the approaching iron spikes. Unfortunately as Bradwen kept changing the direction, the log ended up not moving, and the log hit the fence dead-on. The strong bars withstood the dead wood, splintering it into pieces as Bradwen followed the log onto the spikes. The bars speared up his left arm, scratching deeply across his left shoulder and catching a significant amount of his shirt as well. Bradwen's shirt being stronger than the wood, held firm and let Bradwen hang there as the log hit the ground on either side of the fence, splitting and splintering everywhere. Bradwen breathed a slight sigh of relief, until he heard a definative ripping sound, that signaled he too, would be joining the log. Bradwen hit the ground on his left side as well, adding bruises and scrapes to his cuts already aquired.
"Holy...ow...I gotta find an easier way back next time..." he said, smashing his head back into the ground.

((Heya all! Bradwen's back. Yes that's right, the laziest person on earth finally got off his arse and did something that involved more than 5 keys on the keyboard! Anyways, I'm back, for the most part. I may disappear for a couple days at a time as I prepare for my move to college and stuff, but I should have plenty of extra time to waste here for a while. As for the last few weeks, blame Otakon and Ragnarok. That is all.))

((Well well if it isn't Bradwen! Welcome back buddy.))

Aura stepped from her room, in a rather downed mood. More so than usually if that could happen. She had been up most of the night, mostly with Eclipse. The wolf had missed Quain more than he had let on to Phea. So due to lack of sleep and relatively down moods fro all, Aura was right in line and drained with everyone else.

Eclipse was following tiredly behind as well, his wings dragging the floor a little as he went.

Khenu sat up as he heard the splintering of wood and a crashing sound from the front of the manor. He picked up his boomerang and decided to go investigate, having nothing else better to do.

Running into the manor he slammed into Aura, falling back to the floor with a thud and an "Ow..." He stood back up and brushed himself off. "I'm sorry Aura, I didn't see you."

Eclipse jumped slightly and went to Khenu, nudging him and grabbed him by his shirt, helping the boy right himself.

Aura herself looked Khenu over, making sure he was okay. She hadn't even wobbled when she was hit. "And where are you going so fast? It's pretty hard to miss me with Eclipse following and all.

Eclipse perked his ears forward and barked towards the front of the manor. He smelled something familiar, namely dirt and cookies.

He patted Eclipse scratching behind the wolf's ears. "Well I heard something, so I thought I'd go check it out." Khenu scratched his head with the tip of his boomerang, the guards keeping if from hurting him. "Oh! watch this!"

He had shown Bastet, why not Aura too. She'd be pleased to know he was improving wouldn't she? Khenu made himself phase to the other side of the room and back. "See? I can control it now!"

Aura smiled warmly despite her mood for him. If only she could muster up that much happiness. Then again children were a never ending well of happiness it seemed. "I see you've gotten the hang of that phasing. Now you'll have to get a hold on that electricity you can generate."
PostPosted: Thu Aug 12, 2004 4:26 pm

"Mm yeah, I need to work on that. Bastet said she'd help me but that I should also find someone who can use magic too. So I guess I can just catch anybody here when they're not busy and can tolerate me."

Aura ruffled Khenu's hair. He would definitely grow on anyone he met, but she still couldn't figure out what he was doing out here all alone. And even if he should be here, maybe someone, his parents maybe were looking for him? Or maybe she was wrong. "Come on Eclipse, we have work to do. Khenu if you need anything or if anybody needs me, I'll be in the library..." She walked off to the library.

Eclipse sniffed one more time and though 'trick of the wind'. Dirt was all around and there were cookies in the kitchen. Easy mistake. He fluffed his wings once then tagged along after Aura, disappearing into the library as she had.
