Unless you meant Jason Todd, he never had a romantic interest, perhaps if he had, then he may have been an interesting enough character to keep the fans of DC comics from voteing to have him killed by a crowbar weilding Joker.

And I don't believe Tim Drake ever had any sort of relationship with Batgirl anyway... not so far's I know

I dunno about you but it seems pretty clear to me that hundreds of years of fighting abominations says a little more about a person than several years of keeping crime off the streets.

Do not disrespect the Batman in my home. Batman represents exactly how high on the ladder of heroes a driven, but otherwise normal human being, can climb. They just fight city vermin? Oh, is THAT all? They just protect innocent people from other humans instead of monsters... what an obvious waste of time. stare

Also, Jon-OH and Ren seem to be talking about two entirely different Batgirls. Jon-OH would be referring to the Barbera Gordon Batgirl, which would fit with the d**k Grayson remark as well as with Rayn's red hair. Ren, on the other hand, is referring to Cassandra Cain, the current Batgirl.

That Batgirl is rather tough. She was trained by some hearty badasses and originally didn't understand speech because basically all she knew was fighting. She also recieved training from Lady Shiva (Arguably the best assassin in the world) later on.

And yet, Batman could still take her.
Because he's ******** Batman.

Even immortal monster slayers agree... Batman wins. Just in general.

Also, Spider-Man is a core member of The Avengers now... so, he's hardly in the "street level".

not really that impressive, inorder to get an Avengers membership all you REALLY need is a good costume, and a reasonably pro-group personality, sooner or later everyone gets an invite.

Having said that, being an Avenger means that your really more than a street level hero, as it mandates you to contend with more national and international threats, highly increased mobility and the like. Having said that, because you're dashing into adventure behind Captain America's mighty "AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!" battle cry, you're not going to be busting the purse theif's heads much any more.

Although for your's truely, I sort of wonder what Jameson will have to nit-pick on the guy for when he's a bloody agent of the US gov't, I mean really, is he going to actually have the sand to stand infront of the world and say "Yeah, that Captain America, he's a no good scalawag, a menice to society!"? I'm curious to see what's going to happen with that.

well SURE but there's a big difference between happening to be in the same place as a group of good guys, and actually being a card-carrying, poses in publicity photos member.

A: I don't know what caused me to think that fighting humans was in any way less than paramount to hunting the offspring of Satan into extinction.
~Sure the bat-folk are very good at it but I could only see a few of the villians they fight being belched from the pits of hell.
B: there probably is no point b, I'm clearly just obsessed with defending my own points although everyone else in the discussion has insurmountably greater experience in comic lore. And yes, I would never use insurmountable in my active vocabulary without having recently heard it.
C: That paper is all about making up stories anyway. Now he just has to make them more elaborate n`stuff.
