"I was just teasing you Sun Shadow, Quicksilver?" Nelphean puzzled, thats the second time he called Nelphean that.
Taria noticed the new girl, and then eyed her father, "So that is why you live here." She turned fully to the new girl, "Hello, my name is Taria, I am Nelphean's daughter." She waved, eying the girl suspiciously.
"Aurora's still a child..." Nelphean teased.

He welcomed the distraction of Niah. Brought the attention off of him and he needed it gone. Eclipse could explain it but they wouldn't get it...or in worse case of Aurora hearing it, denying it. He shook his head and then looked to Nelphean. "I've fallen into the nickname trend. Kitty, Saradin Phoenix. Now Quicksilver...see if you can connect the dots to its meaning.

Niah blinked. Nelphean had a daughter? Flirting Nel had a kid? Flirting does lead to other things... "Hello. I'm Nailah. It's wonderful to meet you Taria. Welcome to the manor." She looked at Clip and said "Having anymore problems Clip? Or are you beginning to get the whole human thing down?" Nailah looked around for the other wolf but didn't see her. She wondered what had happened here.

He folded one wing around to the front, to see what was bothering his feathers as he answered her. "It's all getting easier I suppose..." He trailed off slightly as his eyes focused in on a blood red tipped feather. He grasped the feather, yanked it out then snapped his wing back as well as the hand holding the feather behind his back.

Taria looked at the girl, she seemed somewhat surprised, and somewhat not... SHe also had a very smugg look on her face... "Father, you haven't been tryig to suduce these women have you."
"Yes... Well, not really." He answered. "Was kinda glade to be alive, and didn't really feel up to it since I got here."
"I guess you changed." Taria said, somewhat shocked. Her father had the reputation of making the most devout girl crumble under his glare... Maybe his charm remained behind...

Niah's eyes widened. Did she just read my mind? She wasn't even bringing her empath powers out right now. She saw Clip move out of the corner of her eye and her eyes narrowed. He was hiding something behind his back. She moved quickly adn reached behind him pulling at his closed fist. "What are you hiding Clippy?" She opened his closed fist and pulled the object into her hand. It was soft. When she looked she saw it was a feather. Then she gasped. Blood? She looked at Clip in alarm. "Clippy?"

He snatched it back and offered her an explanation. "Broken blood feather....nothing more." Well at least Niah didn't remember what color his blood should be. He gave a nod to her. "Happens all the time when you have feathers that can be broken." Just one. No more than the one. No worries. Right?

Niah bit her lip. She looked at Clip adn wondered. Broken feathers do bleed. She dind't like it though. Something was off here. Why else would Clip snatch it back so quickly. "Does it hurt?" she asked Clip. She looked at Nel and said "Still haven't got your eyesight back Nelphean?"

"No...I'm used to it by now..."Now he seemed a bit distant but shook his head and returned his attention to the crowd of three with him. Then narrowed his eyes at Nelphean and then smiled. "See...Quicksilver."

Niah turned and looked at the elf rolling her eyes. She was used to the comments but they still surprised her. Only here was she told she was beautiful. She decided to leave the feather thing alone but she still glanced at Clip every now and then. Just then her stomach rumbled. Niah flushed and said "I think I'm hungry. And I haven't had cheesecake in a while." Turning she began to walk towards the kitchen.

Taria grabed Nel's arm, and held him in the foyer. "No wonder you don't care about your sight loss." She said. Nelphean had told her about the inhabitants of the manor during her stay, but she hardly found the mto be as friendly as he suggested. Something was gravely amiss with her father. A man who she had only know for a month, had taken her world, and turned it upside down, a man who had told her of the unkindly defeat he suffered, and the world that would not allow him to be her father, no matter how hard he tried to fight for that right. His silver tongue danced about the room, re-creating his life from the very begning, to the end, and his re-birth at the Ancient manor. His words were so strong and powerful, all of Taria's rage demisished in his voice. But that streight was gone...
"What?"

"On the mark elf boy." His eyes watched Niah, Nelphean, and Taria, then he feigned a yawn. "Well if you'll excuse me...I need more rest. My energy is dropping again." Giving them all a nod and a wave in Niah's direction he turned from them, walking down the hall until he got to Aurahkah's room. Slipping in he locked the door then stood there, staring at the feather in his hand. It wasn't blood on the tip. Just the color of it there. His blood was azure like his eyes, not red. What a situation...he needed the energy, but to take more...no. He wouldn't let it happen again. Not as bad as it had before. Dropping the feather he flopped onto the bed, burying himself in his wings. "Aurahkah...I need you...but...I can't be near you...I might kill you again...I might kill them..." He closed his eyes, contemplating a halt to what he had inadvertently set into motion.

Niah watched Eclipse walk off and closed her eyes. She felt him out slowly and what she found almost sent her to her knees. Clip was worried. But not like he normally was. He was really worried about hurting someone. She knew about his betrayal issues wiht Aura but this was deeper than that. She leaned against the wall and her breathing quickened. She could not have an empath attack now.
