Diana Vulpes Take the chatter someplace else people. *slinks away* sorry Di. On another note. I went to a friend's house for New Years and they decided they weren't going out, they were just going to sit around, drink and smoke pot. I didn't want to be cleaning up puke, so I left. And home I went. Family ended up watching Home Video's from my mom's family and then we took the fireworks I got for house sitting out into the street and set all of them off. I bet people were REAL pleased about that. Then we came in and watched the ball drop. About 30 minutes after, I get a call from my friends and guess where they are ? In freaking San Francisco. After I left, they decided they did want to go out afterall.

God...I am so depressed right now...
I compleatly regret my disicion to join the military...I honestly don't know why I did it anymore...Sense I signed that damned paper, my life has been one big lie.
I guess I should explain a little bit...During my seinior year of high school, certain events happened to make me start to question some things about myself...With the help of a friend, I figured things out, that I was gay. Naturally, I couldn't tell my parents, but my friends knew about it. They were the only ones. I went to the recruter, thinking that, once I was out of the house, I would finally be free to show who I truly am. Not so...at least, not in the military. Maybe if I just went to college like everyone else, things would have been different, but I didn't.
Thanks to that, like I said before, I've been living a lie, trying to keep it, much to my regret and sorrow, under wraps. This whole point was driven home last night, during a New Year's party I was at. I was just sitting there, watching everyone else having a good time with their girlfriends or boyfriends or whatever. That's all I did...Then a girl that works in my office came over and asked me what was wrong. I just looked up at her and shrugged, stood, and said that I needed to go home. Back at my room, I just compleatly broke down...big time. I cried for what seemed like hours, and I thought. I thought about how my decisions forced me to hide something that I'm proud of. For that, I hated myself. I just...I don't know...I just don't know what to do anymore...I can't really talk to any of my friends here, and it's hard to get in touch with any of my friends back in the States (I'm in Germany)...
Thanks to a few stupid people, people like me can't even try to find a mate, much less show who we really are...*sighs* I just don't know...
Anyway...Sorry about all this...I just needed to talk about it...

Anyway...Sorry about all this...I just needed to talk about it... There is no need to apologise. Sometimes there are things we want to hide, but we shouldn't hide them. If you're gay, so what? Being gay doesn't change much, if those people know you, then are they suddenly become homophobes? Talking to someone can help, what you need to do is find someone you trust so you can talk to them about all your woes. Just let it out, don't hold it in, as that will cause more problems.

That's just it. I don't want to hide it. The problem is the military's stupid "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy...If I do say something, I'm done. That's what I mean. If I do say something, I have to be extremaly careful about who I go to...
The sooner my six years is up, the better...
But I will take your advice, Crenn. Thanks.

I blame religious conservatism for the military's intolerance. When you have religious zealots packed into the House, the Senate, and the White House, this is what you get.
Ugh...I can sypathize with you, Davin. If they ever reinstate the draft, I'll ask "Do you still have Don't Ask, Don't Tell?" If the answer is yes, I'll cheerfully tell them to stuff it and gtfo.

I don't really think you'll have to worry to much about the draft any time soon, Fog. But what you say is true...Remind me again why I decided to work for the government? Because the only thing they've done for me so far is to **** up my life.

Yeah, don't you just love their train of thought? They would rather recruit a straight retard than a compitant homosexual.
