Allie was only half listening to the conversation. Something in the forest had caught her attention, and she was now staring intently at one part. Had she been able to walk or run like she normally would be able to, she would have gone to investigate further, but as it was it would be more dangerous if she did that than if she just sat there.

Neither Allie nor Fillor said anything, and it grew quiet. Too quiet. Ryshel sensed the three of them weren't alone after all, but she couldn't sense what intentions the thing out there had. So she remained calm, yet poised to attack, if necessary, continuing to make adjustments in the meantime.

Allie noticed that the other two had quieted down as well. So ... she wasn't the only one that was seeing it...
Whatever it was continued to move through the trees. It didn't move like something Allie had ever seen before in a forest. Allie looked around for her sword, and silently cursed. It was probably back in the machine. She instead settled for her hunting knife. She didn't know how much good it would do her, since she couldn't tell exactly what it was, but it was better than being completely unarmed.

Fillor chose his words carefully. "Madman or no, it takes a great mind to transfer people from halfway across the galaxy in an instant. I wouldn't know a thing about your "empire", but I don't think things are going to fall apart there quite yet." He rubbed his stub of a beard. "I'd love to get a looka at that machine though."

Allie gave the man a look when he started speaking again, then turned her attention back on the forest. In the time it took her to look at the man, she lost track of the thing. She muttered under her breath then got into a crouching position... just in case. She scanned the forest, hoping to catch a glimpse of the thing again.

Fillor looked around when Allienia went into a crouching position. "What's wrong?" He asked, not noticing anything they did.

"Would you keep your voice down?" she said softly, not really answering his question yet. There it was again. It was keeping away, but obviously wanted to come nearer, and did NOT want to be seen...

Fillor just looked between them bewildered. What were they talking about? He didn't see anything.

Allie nodded, and watched the thing closely. She ignored the look Fillor gave them.
Suddenly it seemed to dissapear. There was no indication of where it went... Allie's eyes widened as she searched for the thing...

Allie looked around, trying to see where it had gone, "It..." she started, then heard something from the other side of the ship, "What..?"
she wondered out loud and stood carefully to walk around the ship.
