Well I definately approved of Tales of Symphonia. My second favorite game this year and it was a close run with my first favorite(La Pucelle). Phantom Brave I'm enjoying but the characters just haven't been as loveable as the Disgaea or La Pucelle crew. Admittedly I'm only on Chapter 2, but by that point on Disgaea and La Pucelle I already laughed at Etna and Laharl, and had grown attached to Prier and Aloutte(I never took to Collotte even after the heart stealer episode).

*Taps fingers* You know, Celi-li, my approval of a game isn't just based on the attractive eye-candy it provides, though that is a plus for me. But I enjoy the flow of Star Ocean more than Tales, so far. Though I haven't played enough into Tales, what I know is that I enjoy the interactions in Star Ocean more. I like their personalities more, the fun way they interact, and the odd way the storyline is going.
Overall, I like Star Ocean because of the mesh of personalities I've got... /shrug

Kotori>How far did you get into Tales? I loved the characters. Lloyd, Collette(her name sounds so much like the La Pucelle guy I don't like!), Raine(one of my overall favorites), Genis, Kratos(probably my favorite character), Zelos, Presea(well either Kratos or Presea), Zelos, Sheena, and Regal. I liked all of them. They had a fun meshing of personalities from Zelos and his skirt chasing to Collette's obliviousness. My favorite end of battle quote ever involved Sheena and Collette.
Sheena: And don't come back!
Collette: Umm....I don't think they can come back.
Sheena: You've been hanging around Lloyd too much haven't you?
biggrin

Admittedly, Celi-li, I haven't gotten very far at all... *sighs* I got distracted by Star Ocean, but I shall go back to it after Star Ocean. The thing is, the characters in SO3 enchanted me from the start, esp the first meeting of Fayt and Cliff. *shrugs* I guess we just have a bit different views on it. Heheh. 3nodding And yes, that's a good quote. I wish I could remember all the quotes that have had me cackling in my papasan while playing. But honestly, I think it's more a case of Cliff's expressions and what he says have me rolling around laughing. I sorta feel sorry for the poor guy, half the time. xd

Well we each have our own addictions. For me it was Tales of Symphonia, La Pucelle, Disgaea, etc. smile
