Well, that's kind of what this chat's for, yeah? Conversation not related to specific roleplays, that's why I left it out here in the main forum instead of tied to a subject-based sub-forum.
I can go ahead and rename the chat to clarify, though.

That'll work. I never really thought of the OOC as the place to make guild suggestions. BUT OK.
What are your plans for the guild? Are you going to leave it as it is, and keep going as you have been?
Also, why are you the only one who ever responds? Where are the other mods? O_o

Psalm Grasshopper What are your plans for the guild? Are you going to leave it as it is, and keep going as you have been? Honestly, my plans for the guild have been fairly lacking. We've gotten members, but few who've tried to run their own RP--which leaves Kingdom Academy. But as is now obvious, even Bobbi's too busy to really keep it active for the newer members. As such, the past few weeks, I've been toying with a new roleplay idea. Pretty much going back to the roots, FG, and making the rules as lax as possible. Free reign, as it were--with some background supervision. I'm hoping that by allowing so much freedom, it'll just let people interact and tell the stories they want. The idea's still in development, but expect to see something by the winter holidays. Of course, as always, everyone's still open to starting their own roleplays and running them as they see fit. Outside the roleplays, though, I don't have many ideas--and I'm always up for suggestions. I'd run contests, if I had the money x-x ... and any idea how to make an interesting contest. Quote: Also, why are you the only one who ever responds? Where are the other mods? O_o That... is a good question >_>;; I can't speak definitively, but if Noelle and Bobbi are any indication, the rest of the mods are busy as hell in real life, be it school or work. Joe, though, tends to leave the public talking to me anyway. And Jenny, poor thing, only JUST got internet after being in the dark for the past few months.

Yeah, an RP that people can join and be active in would help a lot. New people can join, but right now there's no place active for them to go. You can only check in for updates so often before you realize there won't be any soon, and move on. YOU FEEL ME, BRO? Clearly you do, or you wouldn't have mentioned it. XD I asked how many people are active and got a sparse response. I doubt any non-RP thing would ever take off unless there's an RP to draw people in the first place. That being said, contests are always fun. Lotteries are easy. I can contribute. The marketplace and alchemy are my other Gaia things that I do. Also, got any ink? If you do, chances are you're rich. I've also got a game in mind, but it's the kind of game that can only be played once, and once other people see how it's played they can't play it. So I'd like to save it for later.

Well, if/when it happens, I'll probably send out some announcement or something to catch what people are out there. With any luck, they might start checking in again. Heck, that's why I'm still here; back when I first joined, I didn't immediately get into a roleplay, forgot the guild existed, and then Kyou sent out a warning PM to all inactives. And lo, here I am. Quote: That being said, contests are always fun. Lotteries are easy. I can contribute. The marketplace and alchemy are my other Gaia things that I do. Also, got any ink? Oo, good, good. Honestly, considering the interest, I'll probably start working on the new idea sooner than I thought. Mentioning it here pretty much cemented my interest and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it... xD

fractalJester Yeah, I have no idea what's up with Mizu D: She's been awfully busy lately. I'm sorryyyyyyyyy DX Once this transition at work is done I should be able to be more active/less brain-drained. In the meantime, I am going to skip KA ahead and try to get us to a point where everyone active can interact with each other which is what this stint in the classrooms was supposed to do, but I didn't anticipate so many people poofing, me included. I mentioned in my last KA post, but might as well throw it out here, too, that I plan to have it hashed out and up by Christmas.

I highly recommend that we become affiliated with The School of Dedicated Roleplayers. They've got an "academy" that teaches people how to roleplay, from the basics to advanced. Good stuff.

Affiliate application sent.
Any other suggestions? Affiliation might be the avenue to fresh meat blood we've been missing this whole time.

That's the only one I've got. Haven't really been around any others. Oh, wait. I did see this Kingdom Hearts guild that has been around since 2004. They've got an RP going that's been around since 2006 and people are still posting; it's got about as much activity as HA has. It's called Kingdom Hearts Guild.
