"We need to eat, too" Mina replied as she looked over at him, narrowing her eyes. How dare he walk up to them and call them monsters? It's not their fault they were Diclonius.
"And I suggest you control yourself. We don't want any trouble" Mina added shortly after. She then began to look through the menu again, letting out a soft sigh.
"What are. . . 'fries'?" Mina thought out loud, letting out a soft sigh as her stomach let out a deep growl.
"How are we supposed to eat if we don't know what any of this is" Mina whined as she let out a soft sigh.

"Dunno...." Alex replied with a soft sigh, as he raised an eyebrow at the menu. He then rubbed his forehead as he suggested, "Lets...just pick something at random and order it."

"Umm. . . I dunno. You order something for the both of us" Mina replied to him as she closed her menu and placed it to the side on the table. She then smiled softly up at him, her eyes were scanning his appearance.
Usually, she was alone, so she didn't really know much about the appearance of males. She really was quite interested in it. His body was shaped differently from hers. It was more muscular and more triangular, instead of curvy. His jaw was more broad, as were his shoulders. He looked more fierce, which she liked.
((She's usually alone, so she doesn't really know much about males. The scientist was like her dad, so she never really looked at him in that way. Just so you know))

"......Fine..." Alex said with a sigh as he looked through the menu, and looked back at the first thing he saw. "Ham...burgers it is then..." he stated as he put down the menu and looked back at Mina. He caught her scan and raised an eyebrow. "What.....something on my face?" he inquired, as he rubbed one of his cheeks.
He too was usually alone, however, he didn't share her interest in the opposite gender. He did notice quite a few things that were different, though.

"U-Umm. . . no. 'Hamburgers' sound fine" Mina replied as she looked to the side a bit. She felt a faint warmth in her cheeks as they turned a light red. What was this strange feeling? Was this what the scientist referred to as 'embarrassment'? And she wasn't sure why she was unusually interested in him.
A waiter walked up and looked at the two with a smile.
"Hello, what can I get for you two today?" The waiter asked them curiously.

Alex looked up to the waiter, and responded, "Two hamburgers...with...two um...orders of fries." in a neutral tone. He then looked back over at Mina, and noticed her cheeks had grown a bit red.

"Ok, it'll be ready in a bit" The waiter replied with a soft smile at the two. He looked at Mina and winked at her before walking away.
Mina looked over at the waiter with a confused expression on her face, then back at Alex.
"What was that all about?" She asked, wondering if he had learned what any of that had meant from the scientists.

"I...don't know..." Alex replied, as he rubbed his cheek, then leaned forward a bit. "And...are you sick or something? 'Cause your cheeks are red..." he commented as he raised an eyebrow.

"I, um. . . feel fine" Mina replied. Her cheeks turned a bit brighter as he leaned forward. She was beginning to feel a little nervous.

"........tch, fine.." Alex said as he leaned back into his chair, sighing softly. He let his eyes wander around the palce, before they set back on Mina. Not much really to see.... "Ugh.....what do they expect us to do while we wait..." he muttered, as he rubbed his forehead.

"Talk" Mina replied to him with a soft smile on her face.
"So, may I ask, why are you so afraid of being touched?" Mina inquired curiously. She wondered for a while and he had yet to answer why he was so afraid of it. It was just a little harmless contact, yet he would freak out.

".....I'll tell you...." Alex began as he frowned softly, and looked around. "....But...not here...after we get something to eat, and find a place to stay...then I'll tell you..." he finsihed as he closed his eyes. Then, he opened his right eye and inquired, "If I may ask...why are you looking at me like that?"

"Ok. . ." Mina replied with a soft smile, before having a confused look after he asked the question.
"Like what? With a smile?" Mina asked.
"Well, I am just trying to be nice and friendly" Mina added shortly after. She then had an idea.
"Ok, please don't freak out. But here, I just want to see if you'd become comfortable over time" Mina replied as she reached over and gently placed her hand on top of his.

"No, I meant before...when you we-" Alex began but cut himself off, as Mina placed a hand ontop of his. He gritted his teeth as his eyes widened, but he then closed his eyes; a strained look on his face, like he was supression something. His expression softened after a few moments and he slowly opened his eyes.

"When I was what?" Mina asked as she was holding his hand and smiling softly at him.
