Howdy peeps. My name's Jamie Lee, or as I'm known some places online, Jamie SwiftRunner. I'm a 19 year old from Kentucky and I've been a Sonic fan since I was around eight or nine.
Basically what kicked my interest off what AoSTH. I'd played the games before on my game gear, but being a little kid never thought much of them till I learned of a TV show. From AoSTH I accidentally stumbled onto SatAM, then Archie, and the rest is pretty much history.
I fancy myself a fan of virtually every fandom out there, including AoSTH and SU. I suppose if I HAD to choose a favorite I'd go with SatAM, but I think every series has it's ups and downs.
I'm an artist, fanfic author and a hoaxer. I even received 2004's fanfic and hoaxer of the year awards in the SSA O_o;;; Which I really don't think I deserved... But yeah. My favorite Sonic character of all time is Metal Sonic. And yes, I can be pretty damn fangirly about it too >_> I have this odd obsession with androids and evil twins. I could go into deeper detail but I'd end up writing a huge essay XD I'm also extremely obsessed with the concept of robotization.
Sonic isn't all I'm interested in though... I'm also a
BIG fan of NiGHTS into Dreams, Legacy of Kain, Slayers, and way too many other things to list off the top of my head. I'm also an avid fan of country music. I listen to a wide variety of music (as long as it's not rap or doesn't swear alot, talk about Satan, hookers, etc.), but country is what I grew up with. And don't pester me about it, I'll play Achey Breaky Heart on yer butt so fast ;P
I'm a fan of DDR and I also used to be in martial arts which I hope to retur to (had to drop out due to medical problems). I took four styles and was a brown belt (two belts from black) in my dominent style, Goju Shorei. I also took Akido, Tai Kwon Do and at one point Shoulyn Kung-Fu. I was avid in the tournament circuit and held a title of fighting champion four years straight, also becomming kata champion the last year before I was forced to stop.
I'm also the co-owner of a business,
Magical Creations. We specialize in custome embroidered or screenprinted shirts and hats and ship worldwide. I really love this job because I get to combine my love for art (and use my own original designs!) with my obsession for t-shirts (You can never have too many, I say).
I'm also currently in the process of writing a bookseries I hope to see published, and have written and illustrated a children's book series I'm looking into getting copyrighted and published.
Well, I can't think of anything else to say, though I know I undoubtably will after I submit this... So um, anyway, I'm done ranting I guess ^^;;
