Tanisha drastically changed her stategy, she stood up and smiled sweetly. "It looks like you did, doesn't it?" She said, the smile still there, "I must've missed that tree. Well, what do you want?" She asked, her face completely serious now, but traces of the sweet smile still on her face. I don't enter into contests like this unless there is something to be gained or lost, why should this one be any different? Hopefully he doesn't ask for something stupid as his prize...
Lillian shrugged. "Whatever you'd like to eat is fine with me."

Jemima sighed. "Alright then...Let's have some Italian food."She walked up to the Italian counter and ordered herself a spagetti dish with parmesian(sp?) cheese, meatballs, and tomato sauce.
Seth's grin disappeared. 'She's agreeing with me?!'He watched her for a moment. "What do I want....? That's a good question."'i'll just have to play cool and play along...what's she planning?' He walked over to the tree and sat down, leaning against the trunk. With his arms folded behind his head, legs stretched out casually, he stared up into the trees and thought about what he wanted. 'Should I say this bit? Or should I just stick with something..random?'"Well...I want to see you blush. Not only that...but to see your life happier than before. What else do I want...? Hmm..I want you to be sitting next to me, right here under this God made tree...and..well nothing else for now..."He gave her a side glance a slight smile on his face.

Lillian ordered after Jemima, ordering a simple salad and a light pasta dish. (That I can't spell, evidentally.)
Tanisha's smile faded into something like a smirk. Well, it could've been worse, I guess. She sat down next to Seth, with a good foot and a half between them. Her face was flushed from the running, her hair had flown from the quick pony tail she had put it in earlier, and the rose must've fallen somewhere along the race. "I don't think you'll get to see me blush, I havn't done that since I was nine, and I seriously doubt that my life could become happy in any way, shape, or form. But sitting under this tree, is easy enough."

"I race to keep in practice." Tanisha said coolly. "Not because of any enjoyment I might or might not find in it." She glanced up through the leaves at the sky and smiled faintly. "It is a pretty nice day, though." She said, her tone changing to a sweet quiet one.

Seth watched her. He watched her expressions and listened to everything she said. He made a weird face and looked away. "The school year just started. I wonder how this will all go down...ya know?"

"I don't really care." Tanisha said, leaning back against the tree trunk. "I mean, there isn't much I can do to influence the way things go, so why bother worrying? I take life one day at a time."

Yes, Tanisha thought, frowning, But I can't let you know that.[/'i] Changing her expression back to the laid back pose she was in, Tanisha hoped she was convincing enough, "Nah, not really." But she was obviously nervously hiding something as she said so.

"Alright fine." Tanisha said, purposefully sounding a little irritated. She glanced at Seth and, smiling, began talking in a quiet voice, with a hint of longing mixed with sadness and resignation. "I want to be a photagrapher, capturing life's moments forever on paper, so nothing will ever have to be forgotten. I want to live in a quaint old house by the sea, with an old wooden front door that sticks a little bit in the summer. I want... I want a few kids of my own, just two or three, with big bright green eyes and messy orange or brown hair... I want a happy family that I can call my own, that wont ever dissolve somehow. I want... I really want... to be happy..." Tanisha said the last three words so quietly it was almost as if she didn't say them at all. She was blushing a faint pink now, suprised at telling Seth so much of what she had only seconds ago ment to keep secret from him. Why do I keep telling him everything?
[[ whee I went back and looked at the profile pictures for Tanisha and Seth... Seth has green eyes, Tanisha has brown. So I purposefully put green eyes in there, instead of brown.]]

Seth stared at her. He didn't know what to say now. He hadn't expected her to want a calm future. So he took a chance and grabbed her hand. "Tanisha. I think, from what you told me, that you will have a future similar to what you want. I've no doubt about it."'I want to say something more....but it's only been a day...'

Tanisha laughed sadly, her voice sounding hollow. "How would you know that?" She asked, staring into Seth's eyes, her own showing signs of tears. Suprising herself, she didn't pull her hand away from Seth's, she almost liked his touch.

Tanisha pulled away and looked up at the sky again, trying to regain my composure. "Yeah, well, determination hasn't always been my strong point. And now with all this... I don't know. It just seems too far away to reach to..."
