"Unless you're me, who she watches constantly. 'A girl your age doesn't need to be reading liquor recipies, you shouldn't even consider drinking.'" she said, mimicking the librarian and wincing as she heard her coming towards them. "Crap..." she muttered, hoping the woman hadn't heard her.

Kieth didn't particularly like the idea...Stealing from a library? Couldn't they just burrow the books anyway? Oh well, he knew better than to protest that point, kept his ears down and his tongue bit especially with the librarian close by.

Hitomi had stopped reading now, her ears picking up their voices and not allowing her to focus. She rolled her eyes and swept up her book, hurrying to catch the librarian headed over to the group. "Ma'am, could you help me to see if there are any other books by Poe here?" she asked sweetly, holding out the anthology with a wince.

"Raen, where did you put the books?" She demanded, her hands on her hips.
"I didn't hide 'em, and why are you so against me reading them? Have you seen what those little kids are reading? I don't need to know that much about sex, and neither do five year olds." she said, shock and some outrage in her voice.
"What?!?!" the librarian exclaimed before hurrying off to find the nonexistant toddlers.
"I feel guilty doing that, but she has such amusing reactions..." Raen muttered, laughing softly.

Becca smiled slightly at their antics, successfully getting all supervision away from them. Tired now, she let the smile sink and turning on her heel she went up to the desk, slid her card across the scanner, following with the books he wanted. It took a bit longer than usual for the machine to acknowledge each book, considering their antiquity, in spite of being reprints from the last century or so.

Hitomi was happy that her book had been spared from being taken away to be attempted to be replaced. She clutched it again to her chest and looked at the others, who seemed so natural here but not very much like...avid fans of the ancient tomes residing in the shelves around them.

((Not 100% sure this makes sense on where the characters are supposed to be relative to each other, but at least I'll try...))
Kieth looked at the other girl that had appeared saying something about Poe. "Hello," he said somewhat quietly, enough so that she might choose to 'not notice' if his appearance merited that to her.

Hitomi looked up at the person who had spoken, her eyes closing lazily as she smiled, "The librarian doesn't like many people but she seems especially unkind towards your group," she thought it was rathr amusing.

Becca slipped the books carefully into Keith's... hands, mumbling a here-you-go and giving the girl a slight smile. "Raen, try to cut back on that sorta thing... you'll get a lifetime ban, and then this place will be too dull to hole up in..."

Becca shrugged and frowned. "That'd be a bit loud, wouldn't it..." she mused. But in this age, what was the point int being picky?

Raen shrugged again. "Ugh, the rain needs to stop..." she muttered, looking out the window. She needed to get to the bar, she'd be late if she didn't leave in a few minutes.

Becca stepped over to the window and leaned her forehead against the glass. It had nothing to do with her ability, but after watching the sky for so long... she could sort of tell. "It won't be letting up soon, but the acid bit seems to be clearing up... it might sting, a bit..." she muttered doubtfully.

The phone rang and the librarian answered, glaring at Raen. "Hello? Yes, she's here." she said sourly, giving the phone to Raen.
"Hello?" Raen asked, wincing and holding the phone a good inch away from her ear, it was that loud. "Yes sir, I'm coming..." she mumbled, hanging it up. "I have to go, I'll see you later..." she told Becca, sighing and after a second, running out into the rain and racing to the bar.
