It seemed at that very second that she had all the time in the world as she saw the man on the bike coming at her. It is funny how things work out when you feel like you are about to die. Maybe this would be better than going home, but against her will her reflexes kicked in and she jumped out of the way. She rolled on the ground and felt the soft grass under her. She groaned and sat up as she turned to the boy on the bike. Lora slowly stood and brushed herself off. That guy really needed how to ride a bike.

Hashi laded thare for a sec, the bike crushing his leg so he kicked it off. Sparks went of as it slid."Damned pedestions." He brushed off the dirt that flew on him when he crashed. He looked at the girl with a grin. Then looked around and seen people looking at him in fear and hate. He climed back on the scaped up bike and drove down the roud to find the store.

Lora watched as the bike landed on his leg and flinched a bit. She had headed over to him to see if he was ok, but before she could get the words out he was gone. How rude, she thought to herself. "Oh well..." Maybe she should go figure out who he was, she really did dread going home. However, he did seem busy. She didn't want to bother him so she went on her walk back to her house with a sigh and a frown spread across her face.

Ayaika stood in front of the frozen section, eyes wandering across the rows of ice cream in front of her. Moose tracks, or cookie dough? Ayaika spent a great amount of time pondering this, as it was, in fact, the largest dilemma she'd had all day. Rather pathetic...but that's what happened when you were new in town. You have no friends, so you have nothing to do. Nothing to do means nothing to worry about. It was all incredibly boring. Perhaps I should go out of my way to talk to somebody...find someone to show me around this place a bit, she thought as she pulled the Moose Tracks out of the freezer and dropped it into her shopping basket next to the whipped cream, Listerine, and butter. It's not as though I have anything better to do...she sighed and placed a few other items in her basket before heading to the checkout. Even if she couldn't find anyone to show her around, she ought to do a bit of exploring herself. It was always helpful to know about the place you were living in, and it would give her something to do. Lord knows she needed that.

Hashi only turned the corner from where he almost crashed and parked his bike on the side walk, and ran in the store and grabed a diet coke. He waited behind this girl hed never seen before. But then again he dident know barly anyone in this freaken town. He put his hand behind his head and waited for this girl to finsh. The guy was going eceptionly slow today. Hashi Rolled his eyes, pulled out ten doller bill, placed it on the counter and said,"Keep the change." Then he went out side and twisted the cap off, and siped the coke, about the only thing he looked forward to each day.

Ayaika waited patiently for the man to finish, watching the man with the soda leave. Huh...looks like he has somewhere to go in a hurry. She looked at the ten dollar bill, and then back at the man who had left. Funny...he looks familiar... She watched him until he was no longer visible from the store window, trying to remember exactly where she thought she'd seen him before. She continued trying to recall as she fished the money for her purchase out of her pocket. However, by the time she'd taken her grocery bag and walked out of the store, she still couldn't extract the memory. Odd...with his bold, grumpy manner, you'd think he'd stand out... Ayaika shook her head and walked out of the store. No use fretting over it--if it was important, it'd come to her eventually.

Ayaika watched the boy when he stood in the alley. A building's shadow stretched across the alley, hiding most of his body and face in darkness. Al you could really see clearly was an outline, his eyes, and the odd detail every here and there. It was almost a bit creepy... AYaika's eyes widened with recognition. She had seen him before. Or at least, she thought she had. Never could be sure. It was her first day in school, and he'd been hiding in some shadowed nook, peering out at the students that passed him. She'd been a bit unsettled (of course, it didn't help that she was new and had no idea what she was doing or where she was going anyways), and had quickly passed by, hoping to get to her locker without attracting unwelcome attention from anybody. No wonder she hadn't recognized him right off in the store--she'd never seen his whole face. Then again, since she'd never seen his whole face, she couldn't be sure it was really him... She pondered this for a while, and then looked up to see that the boy had vanished again. She looked around, a bit confused, but then saw him return from the store with gas for his bike. She studied him for a moment, trying to decide if he really was from her school. Why don't you just ask him? It couldn't hurt...not while you're out in public anyways, she told herself. After all--you did decide to try and strike up conversation with some people. He's as good a place as any to start. She quietly approached him and tapped his shoulder. "Excuse me...what highschool do you go to?"

His gaze snaped at the young girl. He grined and put the cap back on. "Im not good with names, but its the one by the railrodes, over thare." He pointed to the three store faclaty, every one in town went there. He was confuse of whyed she ask a dumb quistion. He tosed the empty gas can in the ally and looked at the girl. "Is that it?" He asked as he pulled out his keys from his pocket.

"Oh...then I did see you in school," she said. "I just transferred, you see...I thought I'd try to get to know a few of the people in town." She held out her hand and offered him a smile. "My name's Ayaika."

She put her hand back down, feeling a bit akward at the unreturned gesture. Apparently, he wasn't feeling quite as friendly as she was. "Well, it's nice to meet you then Hashi."
