no it's Mio Hio (just checked 3nodding ). And she is just an Anime only character.

She was a doll, that was brought to life by the older Hiwatari, he was able to control her by tempting her with a full life and that fact that the original doll she was, was sort of a voodoo doll to her (so anything happens to it, happens to her). The older Hiwatari tried to get Mio to give Daisuke a pendant, that when triggered with another pendant, would give Mio, Daisuke's life. So, she first tried a blunt approach by just going all crazy over Daisuke. But then, manipulated Riku into taking both pendants and saying that they will have eternal love if both wearers of the pendant, join there pendant. Hiwatari was unceratin this would work, so he gave Mio a crystal, this allowed her to control the outcome and manipulate others into joining the pendant. Then one night, Risa just happened to be on the phone for a long time talking to her pyshic pals, Daisuke tried to call but couldn't reach riku. So, he went to her house where they gazed at thestars. Mio decided that she cared for Daisuke to much, and it wasn't an act that she loved him. So, she couldn't take his life away just to gain one for herself. So she followed and hid near Riku's house. Riku gave Daisuke the pendant and told them to have them both touch. Mio tried to stop, but couldn't, she was being held down, most likely by the older Hiwatari. She couldn't stand the fact of losing Daisuke, and with one tear drop falling from her face, the crystal she carried broke, and her life was exchanged for Daisuke's when the pendant needed a life.

Peroz I think they just went a different way with the anime I guess. Barely just skimming at the store, I realized it's just like anyother anime-manga relation. Most of the things they don't add and a couple of episodes here and there to fit the 26 episodes. Oh, and you forgot Mio, she's not in the Manga. oh yeah ^^; but your right in all those points above, do you understand why i like the manga better?

yep that was a pretty nice part, I was actually shocked when what happened to Mio. By that time I stopped haiting her, at first she just seemed like a worser ver. of Risa! I liked when she was serious and not sorority Mio xp

fish_are_ebil whos hio?or is that just mio badly translated. badly translated. I had to watch DNAngel all the way through in japanese and crappy subs (sometimes they would disappear) but i managed to make most of it out. (it was a box set and cheap sweatdrop )

Hio, is Mio's last name xd so, if you think about it, it's not badly translated, it's just that the translator of the anime probably switched because it's not something done in the US (calling people by there last name, formally). So, most likely it was Hio in the Japanese ver. (I will check later). Or it could have been Mio also, because she was so used to "coming back from America".

it's mio hio. Hio is her last name, so...why don't you all say Hiwatari for Satoshi or Niwa for Daisuke? because.....the manga does xd (but in japan, they are more formal, and if your not like a close friend or realitive, they will address you by your last name.)
