Oooohh! What a good idea! We definitely need our own thread in the Valentine's Day Forum! Miradora's friend Floradora was the post beneath Eirwyn on page one-hundred-forty-something in one of the threads. Truly a small world. I just stopped in to give all y'all a smooch! heart * kisses Sir Oscar, Furamir, Slick, and Adam*

*enters carrying a massive tray with a bowl of cider, clean mugs, and a plate of freshly-baked honey cakes*
How nice, someone stoked the fire!
*arranges the goodies appetizingly on the table, walks to the hearth, turns and warms her bear-behind*
I hope the boys get here soon. I'm not sure how long I can resist those honey cakes. Well, maybe just one while I'm waiting...
I wonder if they will notice my new outfit. I am very excited to have finally earned enough tickets to buy my tabard. I have become quite a card shark. In fact, I went to the casino this evening to play cards with the tokens left over from my tabard quest. I won about 600 tickets and immediately put them on sale in the Marketplace. No more gambling for me! If I want anything else being offered at Prize and Joy, I'm just going to buy it in the Marketplace.
I think I need a mug of cider and one more honey cake after all that effort!
*pours cider into a mug, selects a honey cake, and retires to a comfy chair by the fire to look at the photo album*

*following nose to cider and honeycakes* Aw, what a wonderful repast and a lovely vision in gold! *bows to Lady Gladys* Please forgive my person for not posting her vacation pictures yet. She's been quite busy of late... designing sets and coordinating student projects for the high school's May presentation of "The Sound of Music" and doing many days of sub teaching. In the midst of this furious pace, she's very pleased to announce...
Right on cue! Thank you! After volumes of paperwork completed, two registry exams taken, an interview done, 3 rejection letters received ... all while managing 18 credit hours in his final semester in college... my person's cub got an acceptance letter from one of his vet school applications! TAH DAH!
Everyone is very pleased, to say the least! He also has an interview pending next week with another school, while waiting to hear the outcome of that school's decision as well as two others. Regardless what happens now, the cub is vet school bound! cool

*passes the plate of honey cakes to Furamir and Slick*
Thank you for the compliments, gentlemen!...and congratulations, Slick! Your human must be at least as excited (if not more excited) about the vet school acceptance as her cub. I imagine that the 18 units leading up to graduation won't seem quite as heavy with such a rosy future.
*raises her mug of cider*
May I propose a toast to cubs and their dreams?

Greetings, fellow Teds! Just a little update on my person's son and his grad school pursuit.
Since last I visited, he did receive 3 more acceptance letters! This is quite an accomplishment, considering how competitive the seats are to these vet schools.
*passes another round of drinks to everyone*
Please, join me, friends, in raising your steins once more, this time to toast the new member of the University of Georgia, Class of 2012. Cheers!!! cool

*staggers in hauling a suitcase and looking somewhat rumpled*
Greetings, teds! Happy belated anniversary to all of us in the League. I'm sorry I missed the official date.
It's good to be home! I've been on the road with Miradora and her parents. We made the rounds of the Golden State for which I have a special fondness since I am named for the California golden bear. Accomodations in the car for teddy bears were a bit cramped, so it's going to take a while for my fur and finery to recover. We spent the last night of our trip in Elko, Nevada. It was my favorite hotel because they put stuffed animals on the beds to keep their guests company. Our friend was Andy the Antelope. He was glad to have a ted for company.
Miradora will post pictures after she unpacks...and speaking of unpacking, I'll just take a few of these honey cakes to sustain me while I unpack.
*drags her suitcase off to her room, trailing crumbs*

*enters bare-pawed after leaving her muddy boots outside the door, with a butterfly net in one paw and a fishing pole in the other, and trailing a distinct aroma of fish*
Good evening, teds! I've had the most entertaining and lucrative evening! I heard from Miradora that blue bass and blue butterflies were in great demand in the marketplace, so I've been to town and the lake. I caught one blue butterfly and sold it with the 3 I had already collected. Miradora was selling her butterflies for 400g, but the price had gone up to 500g by the time I reached the marketplace. It was an especially good evening for fishing. The moon was lovely and the air is finally warming up and smelling of spring. I only had two cans of bait, so my hopes of anything but some contemplative casting were low. I was quite pleased to only catch 3 pieces of junk with my first can of bait. THEN, I caught 3 blue bass with my second can of bait! It was by best creel-load ever! 6 bass, assorted guppies and only one piece of junk!
Forgive me if I don't stay to chat. I really must clean up since the smell of fish is covering up the yummy smells I associate with this room.
*opens a few windows and heads for her chamber*
