Nova woke to the sounds of screams and yelling. He slowly opened his eyes to his english class. He streched and got up hoping to find out what all the comotion was about.

He looked out the window to see the flooded streets. "What the heck!" He yelled. He ran out into the hallway.

Christie woke up in her science class, she fell asleep earlier, she looked outside to see the flooded streets, " OMG WHAT HAPPENED!?"

she turned on the thing. she was sure that it would work. she looked up and the power was back on.

Christie ran out into the hall and took out her cell phone trying to call her parents, no signal. She walked around in the hall trying to get signal from different locations, no such luck.

Christie went into the girls restroom to see if she can get signal from there, nope. She decided to give up. She went out of the bathroom and saw a group of friends talking to each other urgently. Christie instintly got a big hole in her heart, she had no friends. She walked away and took out a her CD player. Christie's CD player ran out of batteries as she came across the door to the basement, she heard voices. She sat outside the door and put new batteries into her CD player and listened to the music,, she stayed by the door because she was curious of who would go down there.

Christie got bored waiting by the door so she decided to wander the halls, if she is lucky she may find a friend. She was deep in thought and so she was not watching where she was going.
