Burgundy couldn't help but smirk as the entered the barracks this was her home, she had spent the past century here training men to be fighting machines, Thalor was giving such a marvelous silent entrance. He had lost his tongue in a battle twelve years ago against an orc mauler. Lucky to be alive and fight another day was her motto. Once to the great treasure room downstairs Derreck took over the 'tour' and told everyone about the weapons rooms and the possibility of getting a magical weapon etc...but Burgundy's brain was stuck on "You must all leave your weapons here, in order to accept such a gracious gift from his majesty." Never had she been asked to lay down her sword, surely this was a mistake. "Nice try Derreck..." She began, the glint of Thalor's drawn dagger hit the corner of her eyes and Derreck pulled out the ordinance from the king. Whether she was in charge of the majority of the army or not, some of her men regrettably could be bought. It seemed Thalor was one...the worst one.
"I see." She replied as he went down the list of weapons. She laid down her sword and spear and cocked an angry scowl to Thalor. He would have to sleep sometime. She walked towards the long sword room and peered inside. Amongst all the familiar swords she had stolen, or recieved in tribute there was one nestled in the back she was unfamiliar with. The name read as Vishnu she felt herself drawn to it. She picked it up and it sang in her hands the energy that flowed from its hilt through her body was amazing. She quickly attached the sword to her belt and moved to the short swords. Amongst the rejects of her men among gifts from magic users she saw another weapon she was unfamiliar with the name was pascal. It was simple, beautiful and looked deadly. She picked it up, nothing spectacular happened, but her hand became slightly numb. She pocketed it quickly, and moved to the spears. There she beheld the most glorious sight ever. She had never before seen ornate spears but the one named fenora she touched it and lifted it high above her head and did a few test jabs. Maybe this wasn't such a bad trade after all...
She paid little attention to Enzeru's offer to spar. She couldn't kill a party member this early in the travel, especially before they met the king. "I won't fight you. It's pointless. No lay down your weapons. We don't have much time." Burgundy barked as she turned towards the door Thalor cocked his head to the side and glared at Enzeru he had no idea how much trouble he could get himself into down here.

Zak laid down his weapons with, care,he spoke to them like they were alive "I am sorry my weapons, even though you have helped me in the past, slaying many vampires,I must leave you behind..." Zak then went off to the lances and spears room,he took Alexa,he then went to the short sword room,he found it hard to choose "Even though I can use staves,I can barely use them, hmmm, well I suppose I do not really need to weild a staff..." Zak picked up Kleiner and Marxus, finally,he wandered into the tome room. Seeing as The Angora was the only tome left,he picked it up. "Hmph! Not really my style, seems more like a tome a mage would use, hopefully it will suffice..." Zak walked back out "Well,I have chosen, and I can see every one else has too! So when do we depart?"Zak said with a smile.

Sparks simply just looked at Burgundy and he was not looking for a fight so under complete control. So he just followed Burgundy out side and he was ready. So Sparks put his new weapons in his backpack. Thunder adjusted to the extra weight real fast. After Thunder was looking fine and ready to go Sparks turned to the others. Sparks simply said,"I am under your control Sir, please lead the way." Sparks then walked towards his horse and waited for the others.

... enzeru was quiet ... but he obeyed to burgundy's advice... he traded his weapons.... he spoke finally towards burgundy "If i am not able to wield these weapons again....i guarantee.... you shall pay with thine life...as i have no fay in you..." enzeru was hoping for burgundy to prove him wrong , that she will prove him wrong...
it wasn't like we were in any hurry.... the princess wasn't in any danger currently... they must have needed the princess for something... in fact he never knew the reason why she was even kidnapped in the first place, becuase one... if she was to be assassinated, it would've been done right on the spot, .... so burgundy's reason against his spar ..... enzeru stopped ...this sentence ran through his head...."what??!!" spar against you burgundy? did i ever say i wanted spar against you ?? ... he showed no strange reaction to burgundy's reply...
sargent or no sargent.... she was not better than any of us... she assumed enzeru wanted to spar against him... he actually wanted to spar against sparks... after hearing how his ring aided him in fights... fencing out sparks would one, prove that burgundy's idea for these new weapons was worthless to him, and plus if he did beat sparks, it would also prove that her rings proved worthless too.
it was all cool for enzeru now,... as he took Filox on his right side, Calyx on his left side, and Van Holt inside his coat , thus makin it hidden from most...
he placed Beloved Death in a Secluded Place as if they were a higher order than ... burgundy's "prized" or stolen weaponry ... he took of the Garnet ring from Death and also the chain... as he this time ...again... hooked it on his Belt this time...now it was hanging back and forth from his right side.... just behind the clasped Filox..... the garnet ring swung back and forth he saw Malice waiting, whether he waited for him or not, it wasn't like he cared any ways.... he heard sparks words towards burgundy... enzeru laughed inside... "under your control?" as he spoked this in his head.... " trust me... its not worth it ... AT ALL .... to be at anyone's control".... again .... spoke this in his mind... his world.... his ... Kingdom ....

Sparks stands up. He puts Sefla in his cloak so he will be ready to use them any moment. Sparks put Oracle and put it on his back.He put Amara to his sidee so he could draw it when he needed to use it. Sparks then began to walk to his new friend Thunder anf of course Thunder is his horse. Sparks begin to pet Thunder to ease him and also show it is almost time to go. Sparks then had a sddenl chill. What would happen if he did not come back? Sparks then shook his head and thought if I die. I will die with honor. Sparks then turns towards to glance at each of his teammates. He looked at Tao,then Zaric, then Enzeru, and then Burugndy. Sparks simply cocked up his head and showed everyone he had a half smile. Sparks turned to face Burgundy. Sparks said,"So can we go?" Sparks said these fewwords but e was eager to get started and he showed no fear in his voice. It would seem that Sparks could be almost fearless. Sparks waited patiently and eagerly for an answer.

Thalor looked carefully at the choices the warriors made, you could tell alot about a person by what weapons they were drawn to. He glanced ot Derrek to give the announcement and melted back into the shadows.
"I see you have all made your decisions. I'm sure you would like to know what you have acquired and what fate will befall your weapons you have left to us. Every weapon you have laid down here this morning will be kept in our vaults. Should you return you may have them back, should you die on this mission they will be buried in your place in the Cemetary for lost heroes." He looked around eyeing what everyone had chosen and then he looked to Sparks. "You have chosen Amara, Oracle, and Sefla. Amara is a very powerful sword, she is a vorpel weapon should you get close enough and a good enough shot at any enemy she will always cut off a piece of their body, be it hteir head, arm and legs. Should you have a bad shot at an enemy, you should fear your own appendages. Oracle is the heavenly avenger of bows and arrows they will target evil and aim true, yoru chance of hiting an enemy rises five times. Sefla are gentle fast and efficient well made knives with no special power. Keep them clean and they will serve you well."
Derrek guided his attention towards Tao. "You have chosen Unshu, Infileta and winter. Unshu is the staff of he earth, you can command trees, vines and all plant life at your will. Infileta is a magical herbology tome, every known plant and use of that plant is inside this book, you may use it to make potions, salve, and poison to dip arrows in. The winter daggers are among the most rare and yet amazing. You may only use each knife once if you throw them because they shatter upon impact and decimate an enemy. However they are incrediably sharp and can cut through almost anything. Please use your weapons wisely and in the honor of your majesty."
Derrek moving down the line looked towards Enzeru "You have chosen Filox, Calyx, and Van Holt. Filox is an ancient sword used by many a well trained soldier, it has the ability to control water as long as it is available, you can part seas and create waves but only when you are near the source, it costs alot of energy to use, so make sure it is absolutely necessary before calling upon the sword's power. Calyx is a sacrificial sword used in the worship of Apullu an etruscan mayhem god, it has no magical power and was decorated elaborately for the animal sacrifices. Van holt is a set of daggers with extremely good accuracy you will almost never miss a target."
Derrek then looked ot the Sargent. "Burgundy, you have chosen Vishnu, Pascal, and Fenora. Vishnu is a long sword that has traveled to all parts of the world, it has the ability to communicate with whom ever weilds it as long as it is unsheathed. It communicates with emotions and can cause its weilder to experience things that are not there. However it has a valiant heart and fights for glory and strives to protect its owner. Congratulations. You have also chosen Pascal an earthen short sword with the ability of premonitions. Touching the sword to your forehead you are able to predict a dangerous situation most of the time. And you picked Fenora. The tip is made of melted mermaid pearls, and if thrown at an enemy in the water will be guided along by siren's song to a sure hit."
Derrek cast a final glance to Zak. "And you sir have chosen Kleiner, Marxus, and Angora." He grinned "Kleiner is my former sword." He leaned in close to show the scar on his face. "If you do not have a true heart for your cause the sword will turn on you...if your soul is true you will be victorious in all battles." he leaned back out of the torch light. "You have also chosen Marxus, the sword of the vampire god Alakha treat it with dignity and respect for it is a heart seeker and will attempt to maim all enemies no matter what the crime...such an odd combination young mage...you have also chosen Angora, this is a bible for an old religion that's why it is so ornate. There are a few demonstrations of ceremonies you can perform though no proof the dead god will come to your aid."
Derrek looked up. "it seems now that we ride to the castle and get our final orders from the king." derrek went to the surface with the three other soldiers from Sargent burgundy's army and each got on their horses. "we ride with you Sargent."

Once everyone had become adjusted to their new weapons Burgundy nodded and followed Thalor and Derrek up the stairs and towards the front of the barraks. Outside stood all of their horses heads bent lazily waiting for the journey to begin. Rosamond stirred once she caught sight of Burgundy. Such a noble horse, a beautiful specimen of a fighting animal. Burgundy looked to her party members, and the warriors from her army who were to accompany them. "I'm just as unhappy with these new weapons as you are. But please understand that i cannot go against the wishes of the king." she cast a glare at Thalor "Though my loyalty cannot be bought, I serve the crown." She placed her right foot in the saddle an dhoisted herself up atop her horse. With a click of her tongue and a gentle nudge from her boot Rosamond seemed to gain immense amounts of energy. The onyx ring hanging from the saddle bag, though this ring was precious to her she could not afford to wear it right now..not and have them find out...
"We are chosing to bypass the castle warriors and go straight into the forest, the mages have quite a head start on us and we must move quickly to try and catch up. The full moon is in three nights." she stopped herself. Had she released too much information? We would soon know.

Sparks had a gleam in his eye. Who knows it could be ambition or it could be his bravery finally opening up to him. Sparks then glanceed towards his new companion Thunder. Sparks walked over to Thunder and began to pet his snot. Sparks then whispered into Thunder's ear,"I have complete trust in you." Sparks then puts on foot into the saddle and hosted himself up. Sparks then turned Thunder to face the direction in which him and the other companions of Burgundy were to follow. Sparks turned his head and looked at the others to see if they to were ready for a mission this dangerous. Sparks then turned his head towards Burgundy. Sparks showed her that he too is not afraid. Sparks began to think that he had a deep fire of bravery just suddenly open up to him. Sparks then turned to the direction to where they would head. He did not say a word at all. Sparks then thought if he could keep his promise to his new companions. That he would protect them from dieing. He seemed to hope so and also he is glad to have agreed to go on this mission. He is hoping to increase his skills.Sparks reached into his pocket and felt the ring. He knew that the ring will bring him much potential and also this horse,Thunder was also his new bound friend.

Zak hopped on his horse,he put the ring on. "I hope you are ready as I am for this mission Merrick." He looked towards Burgundy with an odd glance while taking the ring back off "Full moon you say? Full moons always seem to have sacrificial purposes, oddly enough,so if this is the case, the princess is to be sacrificed by theses "mages",to summon some usurper beast or something to that sound,no?" Zakariah gave a smirk towards Burgundy.

Burgundy blinked almost at a lost for words at Zak's comment. She quickly gained her composure. "You're such a clever little mage." She almost spat the words out of her mouth. "Here you two take this." She flung a book at both Zak and Tao the covers were worn put yet readable. The History of the Drow Clergy was carved into the cover of both books and filled wiht melten gold. The books were warm and the corners were tinged a black.
"In these books is all the information ever gathered about the Drow mages who have kidnapped the princess. All I have been told is to get her back before the full moon and to stop the ritual. So mages, please read the text, and see if it mentions where they would have taken her. If not I fear we may never find their hideout. Regardless." Burgundy said directing her attention to the entire party. "We will now head towards the woods." She shot a glare at Derrek, "We do not have time to go to the castle, every moment we spend here is a moment closer to the princess' death."
She spurred her horse and headed off in the direction of the woods, they had hours of travel ahead of them not to mention any traps laid by the mages and the general dangers of the woods all on their own.

Sparks really did not have time to think. He just got Thunder to run towards Burgundy. The horse is way faster than he have even thought it was. Sparks tired to hang on and then he made Thunder slow down a bit. Sparks then reared to make Thunder slow down and he looked at the others waiting patiently for them to come. Sparks the decided he better go and catch up to Burgundy. Sparks then turns Thunder clicks his feet to the horse. Thunder then went in about half its speed and was catching up to Burgundy. Sparks shot a glimpse behind him to tell the others to come. He knew they would come of course.

Tao listened carefully to Darrek's explanation on each of their weapons. He gazed down in wonderment at the staff in his hands. 'Controlment over plants and vines! Wow, I lucked out.' he smile to himself. His weapons were all more than satisfactory, they were most wonderful! And to top it off he had a book that could make potions, poisons, and things to cure them and four destructive daggers! Tao was soon snapped out of his trance of happiness at once again hearing Burgundy's command to move out. 'Well, I guess now the real adventure begins...' The little mage walked back out into the sunlight and to side horse's side, though before he could get on he found another tome thrown at him. One called The History of the Drow Clergy carved into its front. "Ano...information on our enemy...?" Tao was almost tempted to dive into the book right then and their but he new he couldn't waste anymore time. Safely putting the book into a side bag he hopped onto his horse and quickly sped up to Burgundy's side. "So where is the first place we have to pass through to get closer to our destination? And what kind of monsters can we expect to see?" Tao knew she said something about a cave but her details were scratchy and he wanted to know as much as he could.

.... hmm... a ritual ... he did have a point.... that full moons always had something to do with rituals, den again... any one could've spotted that , due to the fact burgundy had to set a fact that we had to save her "before the full moon" ... so zak's prediction was of no unique ability to him....
.... funny ... how a soldier like him couldn't cast any spells and how this sword allowed him to cast such ....
water....
malice snorted...
enzeru heard what burgundy's blade did as he did with every other member of burgundy's party .... prominition's ? communications? .... well for the communication one,... a soul must've resided in her blade... the prominition blade...which he thought was godly impoissible to have a sense of the future... if she did had a promintion, all she would have to do was tap her head with it and see if the princess would make it.... enzeru chuckled... as he was the type to defy fate... defy death.... defy gods....no matter..... his original party swords , especially death , had the ability to communicate with him .... and could cast "blood" spells but with the new found "water" spelled sword... he was unfimiliar with.... enzeru was tempted to just drop the sword and reclaim "death" ... but apparently he didn't ,
he just on Malice , ready to ride away , with the 2 swords by his sides and his daggar hidden amongst his coat
enzeru just gave a glance at burgundy , and for some apparent reason , had a small trust in her, that she better be right that this was only a 2 day trip , having to such prepare us with these swords
he rode malice where he could watch over our right flank as he kept his Calyx to his left side, easily ready and quickly grabbed ahold by his right hand to fend off anything coming at him to his right side , he kept his daggar in the right side of his coat...
"burgundy , lead the way " as for the first time he co operated with burgundy , with out expressin his own opinions

The party rode hard and fast into the late afternoon before they finally reached the edge of th eforest. The bright green grass of the plains outside the town came to an abrupt stop at the treeline. The trees were dark and gnarly, their bark was flaky and a thin fog moved throughout the branches. The party members stopped and dismounted. Strange sounds whispered through the trees, and licked at the nape of the party members necks. This forest was filled with more danger than any of them had ever faced. A rustle was heard from their right, a low gutteral growl .
Yellow orbs were staring at the party members through the treeline...the sun continued to sink beneath the horizon an dthe eyes continued to stare at the warriors.
Grrrrrrrr.......howl Pairs of yellow eyes popped up along the treeline there had to be atleast 5 of the beasts. They licked their matted muzzles hungrily, grey fur full of mats, tree leaves, and sticks.
what will our heros do?
