*Sanctum looked over* "So... you two heading off to slumberland then?"

Ana smiled at Kyrai gratefully. "Thank you. Both of you. You have no idea how much means to me to know I'm not alone." She whispered as she looked from Kyrai to Sanctum. She walked over to Sanctum and hugged him. "Yes, I didn't really sleep last night. So, I think I'll try again." She smiled over at Kyrai. "I think it'll go much better this time."

Ana lay on the bed beside Kyrai, head nestled under his chin and one arm thrown across his chest, holding him closely. At first she was afraid that, despite her deep tiredness, she wouldn't be able to sleep. But, as she lay craddled in his arms she found her fears and shame melting away, as if Kyrai himself were a shield against them. Curling up against him, she closed her eyes and sighed, quickly falling asleep.

((Hehe, don't worry Sanctum. Alexander has no intention of showing up again tonight. Partly because he wouldn't risk a second visit so soon. but mostly because it's now quarter to 7 in the morning and I really need to get to sleep. xd Night!))

((Well duh. He's the one she...cares for. Of course being in his arms is going to make her feel better. xd Besides, I don't think Elec would approve if it was Ana and Sanctum spooning on the bed. wink ))

Alexander stood just outside the door to Ana's room. The light around him seemed to...bend in a strange way, making it difficult to focus on him. If he were standing still, particularly in a shadowy area, he would easily blend into his surroundings and become nearly invisible.

He frowned at the door in front of him. Something was wrong. He had to actually be touching Ana in order to fully compel her, but the enchantment he'd left on the note should be creating a weak link to her mind, allowing him to send slight suggestions, gradually increasing her anxiety, desire and shame in his absence, and making her more easily pliable when the time came. But it wasn't working. Something was interfering with the thin thread of power he had linked to her through the note.

His eyes narrowed as he glared at the door. It could only mean one thing. "So, you've found yourself a protector, have you? And one you obviously care for, or the link wouldn't be completely broken like this." His scowl was replaced by a leering grin as he ran one hand down the door suggestively. "Oh, Precious. Breaking you is going to be even more fun that I expected."

He turned from the door and walked out of the building, a small, cold smile of anticipation on his lips.

Ana slowly came out of a deep sleep. Stretching slightly, she sighed and settled back into Kyrai's arms. She knew she should be getting up, but didn't want to let go of the moment. Once she got up, she would have to deal with Alexander and what he had done. But for now she could pretend, if only for a moment, that it had never happened. She sighed once more and curled tighter against Kyrai, listening contentedly to the sound of his breathing.
