Jcd Se7en
He watched the scene unfold before him, spinning dangerously towards a state of complete chaos. Not having seen much of the Seanchan when he came in was alarming to learn that teh city was more full of it than he had thought. It startled him, but he wasn't going to let that control him. But something had to gain control of this situation.

Looking from Gwynne to Nikoru to Selene, he felt as useful as Jazral was: a figurehead to watch the undercurrents rip the feet out from under them. With One Power wielders about, there was only so much a man could do before he was tied and gagged with Air. When Nikoru struck Gwynne it was then his time to step in as events were far to dangerous to leave alone now.

"Enough."

It was a command to everyone in the room. His voice, more rich with authority in it than he was accustomed to surprised even him. It made him pause, which just seemed to carry more weight with that one word. Looking from woman to woman to woman, he stared them down for the moment he locked eyes with them.

"If you women cannot talk in civilized manners, avoiding the use of your gifts, then you will either be separated or I will personally remove a piece of the problem to a location so far away, you'll wish you were humble enough to sit back and speak calmly. I have left Seanchan captivity, seen Nikoru freed, and I sure won't see her captured or my death while here in Illian. If any of you have a problem with this, you can walk yourselves out of this Inn right now and go your own way. There will be no more open hostility."

He was quite upset. For far too long people had walked all over each other. And now it was time to bring in the justice that was needed. If they couldn't deal with the fact that everyone was here by choice, then someone needed to show them the door.

After he had finished talking, he realized that the heat in his voice was not also on his face. His anger was quite controlled, very logical and precise. What he said he meant. And if it took grabbing one of them--most likely Gwynne--and Traveling someplace else, he would do it and deal with the woman once on the other side.

He didn't figure she would be as strong if she was lost and unsure of where to go, especially if she was in a land not her own. It was one of the advantages of having been around. He knew a packmule full of locations to go that would be very remote and distant. Some of them not even he could survive long unaided.

The anger in his eyes glittered like magic as he looked between the three women, awaiting their decisions. He certainly hoped he didn't have to take anyone's choice away. It would get really nasty then.

::Kai was inwardly glad at the outburst. Finally a warrior who could take charge! This man was indeed a warrior and he did not have to wear Aorn's scars to prove it. Almost unthinkingly, Kai resheathed his sword, but kept a wary eye on the See-an-chan armoured figure...and remained near the door. Apparently his question went unheeded since the warrior-man's commands all but killed any tension in the air...not without creating some of its own though. The three women, which Kai now knew where power-wielders, still stood at odd's against each others. Kai smirked and leaned back against the wall, folding his arms. It was about bloody time someone put them in their place. Kai would be more satisfied if he ever learned that the warrior-man was not a power-wielder himself. He did not wear the black clothes, but one could never tell. He would wait to ask more questions, but he knew that Jazral would never let Selene come to danger, and he would have to trust that. even so, every muscle in his body was tight and ready to spring into deadly action.::

While held aloft by Nikoru, Gwynne reached desperately for saidar. This time it would not come. Depression and upset could bring the Power to her, but fear and anger could not. At this moment, she was petrified, and it showed clearly. She had not expected so violent and physical a reaction from an Aes Sedai, even one of the Green Ajah. Given a moment more, she could have summoned the necessary feelings to reach for the True Source, but Nikoru didn't give her the chance. When Gwynne landed square on her bottom, her fear converted instantly to rage, but that was no better for channeling. Her anger only intensified with the knowledge that the Aes Sedai could undoubtedly sense her scrambling for the Power and failing miserably. She was sure in that instant that they were both laughing at her, no matter their anger. She was reaching for her chair to pull herself to her feet when Markus' command echoed through the room.

The sheer power of the single word was so great that her anger vanished, replaced instantly by awe and shame. By the time she had regained enough mental equillibrium to force depression upon herself, Markus was done speaking and there was no longer any need to channel. Finally returning to her feet, she looked at Markus. "Have it your way, Warder," she muttered, and moved to sit next to Nanako, a tiny oasis of familiarity, however faint, in this ocean of sheer madness. Once again, she was confused by her reactions. Even she, with her cloaking weave and strength in the Power, simply did not treat Aes Sedai this way.

Darz
Darz doesn't even look up to catch the sharpenning stone. He holds out his free, left hand as it lands squarely in the center of his palm. He takes a moment, as Addin speaks, to set his sword up to best sharpen it. Darz does raise a brow at the rumor Addin attempts to relate. The name, Rand Al'thor, is unfamiliar to him. The referance of Dragon is familiar, but reborn holds no meaning to him. Darz, carefully, starts sharpenning his sword as he answers.

I came, naked, with but this sword. I have nothing.

It might seem strange that he goes back to an earlier question, but it's just the way Darz's thinking at the moment. Being amnesiac, he doesn't know what "common" knowledge to trust. Darz, merely, wants to give himself time to think. He, unknowingly, slips into Old Tongue.

~You are mistaken. Lews Therin is the Dragon. We also can't assume the Seanchan are shadow-filled without proof. Minds can be manipulated without having fallen. *pause* What...where is Aridhol?~

"Well Since you only have your sword, I suppose you can keep the stone.
As for Aridhol it was once a grand city, From what ive been told at least
its people grew gready and turned to the shadow. It is a place of great evil now, where once great gardens and magnificent buildngs were only darkness resides. If it still stands I dont know, as soo many things have changed over time."
"Lews Therin is not the Dragon in this time, for he parished many ages ago, even before my own time he was gone for ages.
perhaps your right that the seanchan are not shadow-filled, but from their actions I will consider them so and thus will continue to name them so. Even if you feel that this Suldam isnt totally fallen to the shadow, the risk of having her here and alive is very great, almost too great in my opinion."

*As to emphisis the point he noted his ring starting to glow a brighter and brighter white.
*Standing up and gripping his Ashandrie he headed towards the door.
"Well it seems that they have found us, Although I havent heard any explosions yet.
I'll head down and see whats going on. If anything goes wrong head to the stables With the suldam, maybe we can get use her as some kind of bargening ship if it goes wrong."
*Moving as quickly and as stelthely as posible while wearing armor he moved down the hallway and decended the back stairs.

Jazral eyed kai as he entered. "Ah its you she is here as a friend of Markus and Nikoru I beleve, a friend in anycase" To Jazrals surprise markus was the one that swifty put an end to this whole pointless situation, he nodded and smiled at the man as Selened left the room, heading upstairs. "Kai where are aorn and the otheres, we should be ready to depart now, if you arnt ready, I'd sugest doing so now.

He looked towards Nikoru and Markus "I am not sure what Gwynne did just now, but am I correct in my assumption that we should be leaveing very soon?" Jazral was glad Selene had not blocked off the bond again, she usaly did when she got mad at him for his overprotectiveness. He missed being able to sence her

Shuddering with rage, Nikoru backed down, her teeth still clenched in that death grip that, if she were a wolf, would be closed around something's throat. Heaving a deep, shaking breath, she tried to calm herself. It was difficult. Even Markus would have a hard time getting through the fury and rage she felt right now. But she would apologize, however angry she was. Turning her intense gaze toward Markus, she spoke through her teeth.

"I am sorry, Warder."

There was so much more she wanted to say. How unjust it all was. How unfair that someone like Gwynne could be childish, put them all at risk, and in all likelihood get away with it, never to worry about the Seanchan's leashes. But saying these things was not something an Aes Sedai said. It never occured to her that doing what she had just done was something an Aes Sedai didn't do. That just couldn't get through her thick head. But she apologized, and they would have to settle for that.

As he stood, Seluth noticed Kai slip into the inn, accompanying Denath. So there he was.. As the inn door opened, he could hear a sudden volley of noise from within. There were several raised voices - it sounded like a dispute of sorts was taking place. With a glance back to Tarma, Liana and Aorn, he then turned to lead the way into the inn.

Moving into the inn, accompanied as always by the jingle of bells, Seluth paused just inside the entrance to the common room. His eyes scanned the room for a moment, noting his surroundings. A great deal of the group were here already, as well as the unfamiliar ones that had been accompanying Markus and Nikoru earlier.

But something was wrong in the room. You could have cut the tension with a knife. That much was clear, the Arafellin thought, as he silently took in the scene. After the pause, he finally spoke, his voice calm and quiet.

"...What is going on here?"

Once the chaos started to escalate around her, Nanako lost what little control she still presently had over her emtions.

Tears streamed down her face stinging her eyes. She was just about to grasp Saidar to do light knows what when Markus's voice rung across the room.

As peace returned to the room, amoung the still present tension the chaos had brought, Nanako heaved in a shudderig breath. For the first time in her life, she wanted to physically beat some sense into someone... that person being Gwynne. She still couldn't believe how selfishly and childishly she had behaved. She wouldn't except such behavior from a spoiled three year old, and she certainly wasn't about to accept it from a girl close to her own age.

As Gwynne sat down beside her, Nanako looked at the girl with a deep sadness wrote across her face. So many things ran through her head that she wanted to say and do, yet none of them came to completion.

At that moment, A figure walked through the door. The small chims coming from the bells in his hair seemed so out of place, that She couldn't help but turn towards him. A blur through her tears, she could just make out the voice as being familiar, which is all she needed.

Standing she slammed her fists down on the table, nearly knocking over what little drink had remained, the majority of which now sloshed in her belly. Ignoring the dizziness that now started to engolf her, she coked out what little she could.

"Bloody chaos is what is happening. Now we have to run from the second time from the Seanchan, because of the childish actions of a spoiled brat and the tempers of more children in this room." Her mind told her that she should simply stop the ramblings, but her mouth simply would not stop speaking.

Heaving in another sob, she continued. "They'll be here soon enough with the bloody signal they've been given. To make matters worse, they were given a bloody beacon to home in on."

She shook with anger, with grief, with fear, and simply because she knew she was foolish enough to have drunken too much too fast. She could feel her senses dull, and hated herself for it.

Clenching her fists into a tight ball, she could feel her nails start to dig into the tender flesh of her palms, and feel the warm slick blood as it started to seep ever so slightly from her self inflicted wounds. At that moment, she cherished the pain. It was just simply more bearable then the mental, thinking a combination of her cherished past and her cherished present had mingled in such a distasteful way as to bring them yet again to mortal danger.

Seluth

"...What is going on here?"

::Kai leaned over to the Arafellin and said in a quiet voice.::
She ::He pointed at Nikoru:: slapped her ::he pointed Gwynne:: and then Selene stormed off after the Warrior over there ::Kai pointed at Markus:: scolded them like children....Apparently they can channel.
::Kai was taking obvious pleasure from this, something like a bittersweet amusment...but at the next point, all positive emotions seemed to drain from his face.::
And apparently now we have to run from the insect warriors...these See-an-chen...one of which is now among our number.
::He settled back against the wall and nodded towards Tazmin.::

Jazral shot kai a cold glare and then stood up. "I do appologise for my actions but if you will excuse me I need to ready my things" Jazral bowed to all the members sitting at the table and walked out into the common room and headed upstairs. He knocked on their door befor he entered, waiting for Selened to allow him to do so befor entering. He opened the door and picked up his saddle bags, packing what little he had unpacked, and repalced some of the nicer cloths he had been wearing, with his leather armor and rideing cloths. As he finished he looked at Selene who was again wearing one of her many revileing outfits, she was still finishing up packing her things. "I appolpgise for my actions in there Selene, I was only trying to help"

At that moment, she cherished the pain. It was just simply more bearable then the mental, thinking a combination of her cherished past and her cherished present had mingled in such a distasteful way as to bring them yet again to mortal danger.

Gwynne stared at Nanko in amazement. The literal content of her statements was true, if exaggerated, but the sheer force with which she was pursuing fear and anger seemed... wild. She was definitely drunk, but even accounting for that, there was a tangible, inexplicable sense of terror coming from her.

It wasn't so difficult to understand why Gwynne had trouble comprehending the reactions of the group. She was not versed in true fear of collaring; having escaped Aes Sedai, Whitecloaks, and Seanchan without difficulty, she could not grasp as clearly as the others what an a'dam, and the threat of it, meant. She certainly would fight with all her strength to avoid being collared herself, but she had never had to do more than keep to herself. Perhaps that was the source of her strong reaction to what she saw as the childish paranoia of the Aes Sedai. That the others saw her as an uneducated wilder hadn't truly sunk into her mind; she was too used to having the better of any Aes Sedai she came across.

Gwynne didn't care for the emotional state of the Aes Sedai, but she did care about Nanako, someone she had once called a friend. When she saw blood begin to seep through the woman's fingers, she reached instinctively for the other's hands, trying to pull the fingers loose before they made wounds which would require Healing. "Nanako?" she said, almost in a whisper. "You can't believe the Seanchan are so strong as all that. We got away before. No one could home in on my power quickly enough to keep us from getting away now." What is wrong with her! Gwynne wondered. She's acting as if Shai'tan himself is about to come down upon us.

"I know Selly, the Seanchan are almost an evil of an enime as the trollocs themselves, at least the trollocs are predictable, and know little more then war"

Jazral sat on his haunches as Selene sat down "You need not worry, you know I'd give my life befor you were captured by the Sul'Dam. Besides no sooner could a man stop a tempest, I could stop you from worrying, or anything else for that matter. as for you hair, I doubt it will it well ever go grey, regardless of your age" Jazral chuckled and smiled

Jazral picked up his two saddle bags and hefted them over his shoulder and followed Selened down towards the stables. Jazral went to Nim and patted the horse's head and put the saddle bags over his back, and proceeded to start tacking up the horse. "Missed us didn't you" he asked Nim. The horse's reply was a shake of its mane and a whinnee as Jazral put the saddle on

*Comming down stairs he didnt notice any damage or anything unusaual or that said that the damane were here, still he decided it would be better to be cautious.
The main room had a few guests, after asking around he found out that some of his companions were in the back room.
Seeing no sign of seanchan so far he headed towards the enternce of the back room, all the time wondering which of the foolish Aes sadia had channeled like that and why.
looking into the room he saw a few of his group and also two stangers. Comming up to Seluth and Kai
"What happend? and when do we leave?"

::Kai, talking delight in telling the story again, gave addin the short version.::
The power-wielders had a fight and apparently something they did called the See-an-chen.
::Kai just couldnt seem to get his mouth around that bloody word.::
I would hazard a guess that as soon as Aorn finds out, we are as good as gone. I'm already packed, I suggest you do the same.
