duskydawn Sing, if you will, to the tune of "The Cloud Song" available on Youtube... *scatboxing starts* My name is Mal. Can't use a sword But like to steal When I am bored. I like to eat Dry protien cakes And with the pilot My ship shakes. And when I stick It to the man I try to do The best I can Not to do harm Or take folk down In spite of this I play the clown! BECAUSE I AM MAL MY RULES DEFY ALL GRAVITY! AND I CAN'T HAVE TOO MUCH BLUE SUN OR I MIGHT GET CAVITIES! If I can't shoot you Then that's OK I'll plan to trick you Anyway! And I will defeat Alliance scum Because I'm good Like Obi-Wan! *scatting stops* ...Yeah! Sadly, I was able to do that in my head...and loved it!

"Happy" by Liam Lynch - Could apply to Mal, Wash, and Jayne.
"Om Numah Shivayah" by Apache Indian - Book.
"Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) by Eurythmics - Saffron.
I'll probably think of more when my iPod's not about to die.

Mal - "Behind Blue Eyes" by The Who. Every lyic is perfectly suited. Just listen to it. Or, better yet, whatch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfiqX_l-rLM It's my fanvid. I also have several wallpapers to this theme. I'm a little obsessed with it. Another good one is "Learning to Fly" by Tom Petty River - "Cry Little Sister" by Sisters of Mercy, also known as the theme to The Lost Boys. Or possibly "Hell Bent" by Kenna

Some stuff says the song on the soundtrack is Sisters of Mercy, some says Gerard McMann. The movie and the soundtrack itself list it as McMann so I'm goint to guess that I was wrong. I'm not sure how it got attributed to the Sisters but if you poke around online, you'll find it's everywhere.

The Cowboy in Me- by Tim McGraw. Sort of a song that applies to both Mal and Jayne. Lyrics and song in Link. Drops of Jupiter By Train. A Mal/Inara pairing song in my mind. (which is fitting since it came on just as I was posting this)

Yeah, it got me curious because I've got most of the Sisters' albums, and while looking into all the other songs they've done I don't think I heard about them doing a cover of that song. I do, however, have The Lost Boys' soundtrack buried in a box of cassettes somewhere, so I'll have to track it down and look.

I would say Phoenix's Liztomania for Kayley. It is just so upbeat based on the tune, however the words probably don't work with it!
