Maki shuddered at each powerful hit that Zife made at the wall, then spoke up after Jon and Thrais mentioned Gabriel. "Don't worry, I wasn't injured during the last battle. I can make up for my lack of aid here. Just lead the way."

Zife turned his head to the group he took a deep breath his energy level returning to normal, he looked at Thrais. “Don’t blame yourself, it was my fault I called all the Chasers to the world that never was leaving the base unattended, I bet it was easy for Kajime to disguise himself as me and easily get past security. I wasn’t thinking.” The Keywielder lowered his head, “but your right Gabriel we have to see if Kajime is still in the base if anyone is.” Then it hit him, he felt his heart twist. The base wasn’t unattended Sophia, when he left she was still here. “No” Zife spoke almost in a whisper; he raced out of the chamber. “Sophia!” He yelled looking in each room, looking for signs of his beloved. But nothing, he found no trace of her. The blond entered his room and nothing he fell to his knees, tears where streaming down the Keywielders face. “Not again, I promised her. No No NO!” His scream echoed through the entire base. Losing the Keys was nothing compared to losing Sophia, he was beyond angry nothing could calm him.

"Hostage. That complicates things. And if Zife's already breaking down, that means she's too far away for him to sense she's near. Unless....oh damn, I hope I'm wrong. Keep looking without me, I want to check something." Gabriel bolted out the door and ran for the hangar.

"Zife?!" Maki jumped aside as their leader had raced out the door. She paused for a couple of seconds, glancing at the others before suddenly dashing off in the direction of Zife's cry. "What's going on?!" She shouted at she grasped the door, sliding to a stop, seeing their leader on his knees, crying. "Zife...?" Maki's eyes surveyed the room, the girl that Zife had with him last time, she didn't know her name, but was obviously very important to Zife, wasn't there. "No way..." She whispered under her breath. Clenching her fists, Maki spoke again, grabbing Zife's shoulder, "Crying here won't help her or find Kajime faster. Get up. As the leader, you of all people, shouldn't be on your knees in mourning. You must rise up and lead us and help save her."

She could hear his screams, and her name upon them. They'd taken more then just precious items, but also precious people. It made her scared for the girl.. but how could they help? As she allowed herself to be taken back to the lab, Thrais tried to think of something she could do..to try and ensure the life of Zife's beloved one.

“Dammit I know what you’re trying to do.” Zife said under his breath, he was speaking of Asmodeus he knew exactly why he took her. “Your right Maki I can’t show weakness, I mustn’t falter” The blond rose to his feet, he turned to Maki. “Thank you. I’m going to go train I need to vent some anger come get me when Prinz and the others arrive, and then we shall discuss our plan of attack.” Zife turned his head and walked out the door towards the training grounds. The Keywielder made his way to the Training grounds; he passed by the hanger just in time to hear Jon speak. “Gabriel suspects that Sophia may have betrayed you to the Order” Zife stood silent he wasn’t about to rush in and deny it, it would make him look even less as the leader he should be. “No way Sophia would never betray me, that’s impossible.” He could fell his heart twist and turn as if someone was trying to yank it out. “Why do I feel so alone?” he whispered to himself, then continued on his way he needed time to think.

Maki nodded and watched quietly as Zife left the room. She followed steadily behind before turning into the hallways to return to her own room until Zife called for the meeting. Her ears picked up Jon's voice of Sophia's betrayl. She paused in her steps, Could it be true? Was her only thought, then her steps continued.
