Lillian glared out the window at the carnage, wincing a bit "And what insane concept did they base ze war on, anyways?" she said looking to tails "What is worth all zis death and destruction?"

"I don't know..." Miles said, his head in his hands. "Maybe it has to do with the family treasure, the Dimension Knife." He sighed and pulled out something they couldn't see. "It could be this, too..."

Lillian blinked "Huh? could be what, tails? I dont see anything..." she looked at him rather oddly, shaking her head "Sir you're getting too upset here...do you have anything that ze troops in the fortress would recognize? I could try to get ze components myself..."

"No...it has to one of the Princes, or they won't let you in if you're not in the military." He replied, then stood up as they reached the fortress. "I'll go in first, then you guys can follow to help bring things into here."

Miles took a deep breath, then removed one of his gloves, exposing a ruby ring surrounded by three foxes, tail to nose. The ring of the Royal Family of Prower. Sighing, he walked out and set the glove into his pocket before he stopped into front of one of the soldiers.
"Greetings. My name is Miles Prower. I believe something of mine is being held here?" He asked, holding out his hand. The soldier grabbed it gently, then looked the ring over.
"It looks genuine. Alright, you're free to enter." He said, then looked at the ship. "Did others come with you?
"Yes. They're in the ship, and they have my brother's permission to enter." He said, looking over at the ship as well. "They're to help me bring the items."
"I see. Well, bring them out then, so they can be inspected." He said dully. "Just a standard precaution, we don't suspect your friends of anything."

Lillian and the others carefully walked out in a line to the fortress, where they were stopped by the guards immediatly "Zis is quite a welcome... wouldn't you agree..hmm...reia was it?

Reia nodded, then walked out. "Are we allowed to enter now, Professor?" She asked, looking at him.
He nodded, then walked past the guards, Reia following, and beckoning for the other three to join them.
Geo and Leo quickly ran out, eager to help out with the bringing in of the components needed for their new friend, Sonic. "Which way?"
A guard bowed, then led the way to a large room filled with boxes. "You might need a little assistance. Would you like me to offer some?"
"No. No need." He looked back at his little group. "I already have all the help I need."

Miles smiled and said, "They're all so kind...It's a shame they're in the midst of a war-zone..."

Lillian sighed "Its amazing they're kind even in ze area. War often reduces ze mind of a soldier to a unraveled batch of rage and fear..."

"Not the Vulpine warriors." Miles said softly. "They manage to keep their minds steady even in midst of battle. Unfortunately..." He clenched his fists. "It can make a person weak."
Reia watched him and had a feeling that he was talking of his elder brothers, many of them fallen due to the war. 'So painful...' She thought, a tear slipping from her eye.

Lillian still seemed unfased by this, even if she found it tragic. The inside of the fortress was nothing like the outside, crates hastly stacked, sandbags set in defensive positions facing doors and halls as well as numerous wounded on bedrolls. She seemed to try to be hurrying miles along now.
Lillian suddenly ran over to two soldiers moving a wounded one "Hey! what ze hell are you doing?" she said, pointing to a hastly added tag on his wrist "this was added on ze field, a status note. Says here ze soldier is suffering from blast injuries. Moving someone in this condition can be-" lillian was suddenly pushed aside by a guard, another standing over her as well "Its nice you're helpful lady, but try to stay out of our buisiness. You're a visitor here, start acting like one."
she silently moved away while the guards lectured the two recruits instead, lillian mumbling something under her breath.

"She's right, though!" Miles said, growling. "You could kill him if you move him!" He walked over. "And you can't push a prince away, so don't even think about it! I know I'm visiting, but I might as well help here while I am!" He pulled out a first-aid kit from his coat and started applying bandages and antiseptic to the wounds.
'Blast wounds? Who's using the blasts?' He thought, standing up after it was tended to. "It should be okay to move him now, but please, take what the people say into consideration!"
"Just like my brother, always yelling at the soldiers." A voice said, chuckling as he walked over. "When Jay said that you were coming, I didn't think it'd be so soon. You sure you can't stick around for a biscuit or two?" He asked, offering him a basket of cookies. "I just got 'em from town for the troops. Something to cheer them up."
"Thank you, Renn, but I really must be hurrying along." He said, hugging him quickly, then running off to get the components. "Take care, will you? Come, everyone!"
"I'll do my best!" He said, grinning as he waved.

Lillian followed miles, sticking a bit close "thanks for sticking up for me, very thoughtful of you..." she said quietly with a smile "Ze two wouldn't have done it if vey knew better, anyways, but i'm lucky I caught ze tag..." This did leave one big question, how could she see and read a small tag from so far away?
