Natsuko sat for a moment in silence, she eyed Kevin and sighed, "Do you really hate me that much? Ok I mean I understand the rash thing was probably a little over board but what is it that makes you hate me?" She said her arms crossed, "You know, I used to care about other people in this school, I always wanted to be the most popular girl and be friends with everyone. I was vampede and shallow. But I'm tired of being friends with people like that, all the stupid stuff they talk about doesn't matter anymore not since that stupid accident..." her voice trailed off a bit. She stared out the window for a moment, pretending not to be upset or hurt or whatever hell she was feeling right now.

"I just wanted to be friends with someone who could talk about intelligence things. Someone who didn't care about who was dating who, and if I had my own apartment yet. Someone who isn't happy my parents died because it ment they had a place to party." She uncrossed her arms, in a few seconds she would probably start crying and then she'd have to take that pass to the nurses office. "I'm sorry if I'm such an annoyance in your perfect life, but not everyone is as lucky as you are." she said, the comment probably sounded pretty cold. She blinked back the tears again thinking of how her parents always did what she wanted, staying in the back, never speaking to her when she was around friends. She wanted to seem cooler then that. She sighed as the memories came rushing back.

"It's pretty good huh? I love that stuff, careful though it's kinda addicting." She said trying to keep her mind off what they had been talking about earlier. She pulled out a pack herself, it was green tea, she smiled weakly as she started sucking on the stick.

"They came in all sorts of different flavors, so if you ever want to try some just let me know ok? Cuz I have lots.... so what state do you live in away from here?" She asked, leaning on the side of the desk

"Yep, So you never answered my question, why do you hate me?" She said, placing her chin in her hand. The teacher seemed to sigh in disbelief, he seemed to have lost the class for the rest of the period, no one was even paying attention anymore.

"I mean, I would really like to know so maybe I could fix it or something..." She tapped her lip, "I probably talk to much huh? It's a pretty bad habit of mine, I mean I just ramble on and on... I guess that could be a reason, crap I'm doing it again." She bit her tongue, to stop herself from talking.

Natsuko blinked a little bit... "I don't really think I'm capable of that...." she said sighing "But I guess I'll try to talk less or maybe about less annoying stuff.... like our assignment tonight on how Newtons Law proves Kepler's law maybe?" Natsuko said, she felt slightly defeated, but didn't feel like giving up yet.

She sighed again and turned away looking out the window. The sun was bright, everything looked so happy, which was in stark contrast to how she felt. Her stomach started to feel sick, and her head felt like it was spinning.

"Hmmm... you know what nevermind..." She said softly, laying her head down on the desk and staring out the window. She was tired of pretending she was cheerful and excited, instead she just watched the breeze blow through the trees.

The bell chimed signalling the end of class, but Natsuko didn't move, she simple sat staring out the window. She wasn't even sure if her body would move if she willed it. "Excuse me, may I have a pass to the nurse, I'm really not feeling so well." she figured he'd say she needs to get it from her teacher this period, but she didn't feel much like going to class. Instead the teacher nodded and went to work, he knowing as well as everyone else what had happened this summer.

The teacher placed the pass on her desk, and looked at Kevin and shook his head. "You should probably get going if you want to make it to your next class Mr. Fulson," he said almost coldly. Natsuko picked up her bag, placed her books in it.

"Good luck in whatever class you have next..." She said flatly, she grabbed the pass and sighed deeply, staring out the window again.

"Arrigato Fulson-kun...." She sighed deeply turned away from the window, tears streaming down her face. She didn't look at Kevin, or at the teacher, who just stared at her. She clutched the pass tightly in her hand.

"You have anatomy don't you?" She wasn't supposed to let others know she knew their scheduals because she worked in the office during the summer instead of returning to the empty house her parents had left her. Instead she spent the whole summer at Andrew's helping the office workers settle scheduals and send payment notices.

"It's rather easy, I took the class last year." She said, adjusting the bag on her shoulder she walked to the door, pausing for a moment, "Thank you sir for the pass." She said soflty before leaving.

The hall was rather empty, most of the students were going back downstairs for regular classes, she stopped again looking at the empty hall. She sighed again, she didn't even feel like going to the nurse, but she really had no choice if she didn't want a cut slip

Natsuko sat in the nurses office staring at the wall, it was awfully busy for the first day of school. Probably because it's the first day of school she thought to herself, her mind feeling mildly numb and dull. She stared at the pass in her hand and let her mind wander for a bit.

"Come in Natsuko," The nurse said in a friendly manner. A few students grumply passed her, probably on their way back to class. The room was empty, the door shut with a soft click, and the busy sounds of the main office was quieted.

"I already know what's wrong, so I'm not going to bother with taking your temperature. I'll write you an excuse for this period to let you rest in your dorm, or we can talk if you want..." She said kindly, placing a hand on Natsuko's folded hands.

"You wouldn't understand..." She said softly, it wasn't ment to be rude or cold. It was honestly how she felt, no one understood how she felt anymore.

"Well no, I probably wouldn't, I never had the pleasure to have parents," she said, it wasn't angry, just a bland statment. She pulled out a sucker and hand one to Natsuko, "But, I did lose my husband and 13 year old daughter in a horrible accident, on christmas eve no less. So I think I can level with you just a bit. I know it feels the world stopped, and you don't want to get out of bed. But life will go on, it just takes a while." The nurse hugged Natsuko close, she felt deeply for the girl. Rubbing her head, the nurse smiled kindly.

"Rest for a bit, go take a nap and then get some lunch. Talk to a few friends and try to not to think about it too much, before you know it you'll be back to your old self, smiling and laughing again ok?" the nurse wrote her an excuse and put it in her outbox, she wrote a pass for Natsuko to the dorms and smiled.

Natsuko took the pass, "Thank you" She said, she didn't really feel any better but she'd take a nap and try to make it through the rest of the day. She gathered up her bag and left to go to her dorm
