Shifting her weight and brushing her bangs back (muttering nonsense to herself in the process) replies, "Hm, a-ways from here.." Her eyes glaze over as she recalls it, "I come from the race 'Bellon-Bastet'... We live in the mountains, where we have kept to ourselves, as well. Though reasons unknown.. Reasons that the elders took to their graves..
Cho gasped for air, "Er-Anyway," she rubbed the back of her head, "I guess I talk to much-that's what my family always said."

Amaya half smiles, "A bad habit is always hard to break. I'm sure I have plenty of them. Just make sure you don't talk too much to the wrong people. It could land you in real trouble." Letting out a giggle she leans back onto her elbows and looks up at the trees for a moment. Returning her gaze to Cho she continues, "If you grew up in the mountains then you will do really well with where we are headed. Mount Nadoras, have you heard of it?"

Mira was silent as usual, kinda part of her cat-personality. She was relaxed, her tail curled about her feet, as she sipped her soup. Her voice purred as she echoed Amaya's words. It's a bad habit only when your in the wrong company, my dear. I, myself, grew up in a place much like this one here, and the story of my people is a sad tale as well...one tale that I plan on changing the ending to, if Sika permits. Sika was the name of a saint amongst her people, long before her time. Sadly few remembered his story, but all of her people revered his name. Mira looked up towards the mountains as Amaya asked Cho about their destination. They were almost erased from the sky with the coming night, and supressing a shudder she realized she could still feel their pull. What lays in the future for us? Sika...help us.

Sitting in the tavern, the General looked to his mug of ale. It was rippling unsteadily. The ground was shaking. Not a lot, but enough to disturb his ale.
He ran out of the tavern and looked around him. In the east, there was a large....dragon....it looked like, making it's way through the clouds. The General jumped on his horse and hounded it to make the travel quickly.

Lost in her thoughts, Mira began to sense something. Looking around, she realized the ground was moving softly beneath them. The three travelers exchanged looks, and Mira stood to calm the excited chocobo. Cooing softly to him, she glanced around for a reason, unsure if it meant something was headed for them or not. Her tail flicked from side to side as she grew more and more uneasy.

All of a sudden, the shaking increases, and a crack forms in the earth down the middle of the valley, a branch of which begins heading toward the girl's camp.
Mira struggles to control Chick, backing him away from the camp deeper in the woods. The frightened bird flaps his wings, chirruping loudly, his loyalty to Mira the only thing keeping him from dragging her away completely. Seeing a stout tree beside her, she ties the bird to it with a slip knot, and grabing her staff from the bags, she was glad she hadn't totally unpacked the bird for fear of awkening Amaya.
Turning, she was amazed to see how big the rifts had widened, and a few dog-like creatures crawling out of them, their teeth bared. Smiling, Mira looked at each of her new-found friends as she got into a defensive stance. Let's show these fiends who's boss. But just as she says this, the sounds of laughter float around them, as if on a breeze. Standing still, Mira listens intently and is very unnerved to realize she has no idea where it is coming from. Distracted, she barely manages to dodge the attack of one of the fiends.

Mira's ears flatten against her skull as she sees a woman appear out of no where above Amaya and Cho. She bares her teeth slightly and grips her staff a bit tighter, but otherwise makes no move toward her, only stiffening as she turns to look at her from the corner of her eye.

-she turns completely, looking directly at Mira- And what do you expect to do with that stick? -she vanishes from sight and immediately appears behind Mira- you're too weak to attack me, and for a cat you're extremely slow

The general watched from afar as the strange woman appeared behind a cat. He pushed his horse harder in attempt to aid the girl.
A rift appeared in front of him, and some dog-like creatures climbed out.
The general slowed his horse and jumped off. He grabbed the moonlight bladed long sword from the sheath, and held it in front of him.
You foul heathons. I thought I had rid of you back at my home. You will pay for murdering my wife!
He lunged at the creatures, and plunged his blade into one of their heads.

Mira hissed as soon as she heard the woman's voice behind her. Too close to really be effective with magic, she decides a physical attack would be a better option, she whirls around, stepping forward on her right foot, and swinging her staff from right to left towards the woman's left side. And I don't take kindly to those who insult me, witch. She doesn't see or hear the newcomer approach, her mind only on the woman at the moment.

Hissing again, Mira rolls as she lands, coming back up on her feet. Who says your not? She leaps up the trunk of a nearby tree, and climbs out on one of the main branches, deciding whether to attempt to leap from where she is to where the woman sits. Her ears are still pressed tightly to her head, her hackles raised, as she inches her way down the branch, as if stalking her prey.
