*Luke jumps back and intones.* Oh, ********> *The color drains from his face and he has to work through his shock, before he can even look at Melliandra.* Jesus! *Then* Christ.
*The clamor of shattering glass, bellowing men, and tables being overturned can be heard from outside. ... That brings him back. He scowls at Melliandra.* You know, I'm a little busy trying to get the ******** out of here before I get my a** kicked. Where's the transportation?

It's ready, *Melli tells him nonchalantly, still in her barmaid guise. She turns to look back at the building, planting her hands on her hips and taking in the damage with a sigh* Well, it is distracting, to be sure . .. but a bit excessive, don't you think, my dear?

*Luke's face pales as the bar fight rages on.*
Yeah, well you left my camera phone in my other pants.

I must confess, I'm a bit disappointed! A barfight is effective enough, but so overdone. Ahh well. *Barmaid-Melli smirks at him* At least you managed something.
Shall we be off then? *She asks, though she's already striding away*

Managed something?! *Luke's eyes shoot daggers at Melliandra.* Do you even know what the ******** I DID in there to get you your distract--
*Luke hears a man hollering at the top of his lungs and realizes it's the bartender -- whose bar HE just destroyed.* s**t.
*Inspired anew to get out of there, he follows Mel.*

*Melliandra leads the way back to the outskirts of town, where they find Piero waiting, along with two horses, just out of plain sight. The poor man has a dazed expression on his face. Melli drops her disguise as they approach, back in her traveling clothes, and takes the reigns from Piero. He looks at her like a lost little child for guidance*
Run along home now, dear. *she tells him, making a shooing motion. He nods slowly and then wanders away from them back to Pesaro, weaving back and forth as he goes*

*Once Luke's confident that he's gotten far enough away from the chaos he caused, his mind shifts to other things. He's putting together how Melliandra went from being Bartolo to being the barwench to "procuring" transportation. He thinks he's got an idea of what happened--*
*And he sees Piero. Melliandra's working this man like he's on ******** puppet strings. The man toddles off, oblivious to world about him.*
*Luke runs a hand down his face, wincing a little as he brushes the tender spot beneath his right eye. He doesn't say a word.*
*His mind is running over-time...*

*Melliandra gives the horses a quick inspection, cinching the saddle tighter on one. The animals shift uneasily at her touch - the smaller of the two even tries to back away from her. She seems to pay it little mind, though, and a soft clucking noise from her seems to settle them both easily enough.*
*Once she's satisfied, she casts a glance back toward Luke* Ready, darling?

*Luke walks up to one of the horses. After a moment's hesitation, he climbs into the saddle with little trouble. He sighs a little.* Yeah. Whenever you are, babe. Just show me the way.

*Melli watches with a faint smirk as Luke tries to get himself settled on the horse's back. If he thinks he's sore from the barfight ...*
*She swings up onto the other horse in one smooth motion, making another noise at the back of her throat that both creatures respond to immediately. She gasts a glance at Luke over her shoulder*
Do try not to fall off. *and on that note starts off at a brisk clip, away from Pesaro and into the night*

*Luke smirks.* Try not to hypnotize any more townspeopl-- *The horse instinctively jolts forward, cutting him off, and follows after Melliandra. Apparently, Piero isn't the only animal under her control.*
*They ride into the night through wooded terrain. Luke has never realized the difficulty of both riding a horse for longer than an hour OR riding where there are no roads or even beaten trails.*
*Here and there he whispers to his horse, mostly when going through difficult passes. "C'mon, babe, you gotta be on my team." "I'll give you the biggest ******** carrot you've ever seen if you get me through this." Then again, when his horse appeared reluctant to follow over a patch of fallen trees. "S'matter? You don't trust it? Well, join the club, horse."*
*However, Luke spends much of the ride in quiet. Melliandra isn't much for conversation, and truth be told, neither is Luke. He focuses his energy on watching the path, which is difficult with only the night sky to light the forest.*
*They had ridden for nearly two hours, when Luke decides he can be quiet no longer.* Alright. Okay. *Atop the horse, he makes a "T" with his hands.* We need a five-minute break.

*Mellianda shifts slightly in her saddle, both horses slowing to a stop without any apparant signal from her. She smiles, appraising him* Do we now?

*Mel laughs as well, but it comes out rather pleasantly* Bear with it a bit further then, dear, and I'll give you more than just five minutes. This is hardly the place to rest. *in truth, there would only barely be enough room to dismount*
*She turns forward and tilts her head as though listening, then turns the horses in a slightly different direction* This way, now. *As though Luke had any say whatsoever in where his horse was taking him*
