So the RIAA is suing allofmp3.com for 1.5 trillion dollars. That's right, $1,500,000,000,000. While not as large as the national debt, it dents it. A lot. And do you really think that one company in Russia has that much cash? Do you even think Russia has that much cash? I can understand wanting a piece of the pie, especially since they own it, but they want $15,000 per download. That would make a 10 track CD $150,000. That is more than most families earn in a year. Escpecially since allofmp3.com charges about 2 cents a download.
Downloading mp3s is illegal. While I like free music, or at least cheap as hell, I can understand wanting to shut them down, but the overzelousness of the RIAA to hurt people who steal from them should be illegal. Make them pay for what they stole. Most songs are 99 cents a download, so I could even see making them pay 5 bucks a song, That is a 500% profit. Charging 15,000% for something seems a bit cruel and unusual to me.

The problem here is that the RIAA has become a monopoly. The fact that there is a separate regulations board that sets prices, makes contracts, etc. seems a bit of a monopoly to me. I thing that there should be something there to protect the artists and help them produce and package their sounds as well as promotion and distribution, but the record industry is not about art, it is about making money. And they will ******** over anyone to make money. Artists, consumers, laws, anything to make a buck.
And then you have companies like Sony putting rootkits on CD's and various underhanded schemes. Not to mention the viral marketing that is going on at the moment. This s**t borders, no, is propaganda.

I don't understand how he is still on office. Liberals hate him and his own party thinks he is a crackpot. Just goes to show how many moderates there are. And he's got the "he's Arnold" thing, so the uninformed jackass vote goes to him.

The music industry is still drunk off CDs and thinks people will keep paying $20 a pop.
Unfortunately for them everyone else has grown accustomed to technology increasing in quality while it's price deflates. There's no apparent reason the music costs as much as it does other than that they used to be able to get us to pay that much for it so faced with putting up with that or a much more convenient option most people don't have to think very hard to make their decision.

CDs will be pointless soon. Then, artists will release, from their own sites, rare-issue mp3s. That will be the next wave: designer mp3s.
Arnold is not govenor simply because he's moderate and famous. He's govenor because, if you look at the last couple of decades of California state politics, there literally is nobody better.

So anyone who knows me personally knows the saga of sadness that is Nicki. Our relationship had a few ups and a lot of downs. In 2004 I ended it and jumped into my relationship with Erin. After that I went on a few dates and had a 3 week relationship with Dave's cousin Becka. in 2006 Nicki got in contact with me again, and we continued to talk every few weeks or so. Like it always was with Nicki I usually involved me asking how she was doing and her telling me the downward spiral that is her life. First she was engaged. Then they broke up but still had the lease so they lived together for another 6 months. Then she started to date the creepy 45 year old guy. Then he cheated on her and she got Herpes. Then she and her ex-fiance got evicted and she moved in with a co-worker. A few months later her co-worker kicked her out, she quit that job and started working for the company that cleaned her old place of employment. She moved in with her ex-fiance's mother and shared a room with him, all the while continuing to date the creepy guy that gave her an STD. Later she got knocked up by someone else and they got engaged.
Today she calls me and tells me that her new fiance dumped her on Valentine's Day and that she is going to get an abortion and tell everyone that she miscarried. After she broke this news there was a silence on the line as if she wanted me to say something. I responded, "OK" and sat there. Again there was silence as if I could give her some pearl of wisdom that would solve all of her problems.
I feel bad for her, I really do, but why is this my problem? Why is it that she bottles up all of her feelings and emotions and waits to release them upon me. I have told her off, I have blocked her cell, I have told her not to call. She just gets another trac phone every few months and calls. The second she packed her things and moved out I stopped caring. Sure she moved back in the next day and we lived opposite each others schedules for another 3 months, but all trust I had in her was gone.
I know I am just ranting and rambling at this point, and there is no question or discussion, but it still saddens me, pisses me off, and hurts all at the same time. What I really feel is, "You left me the first time, and we were dead when we got back together, yet after me you have only managed to self destruct. I cannot feel sorry for you, these were your choices and you continue to make the same ones."

At lot of girls seem to have a little gremlin in their head that makes them hold on to extra men outside of whatever relationships they're in. The recognize that certain people have attractive qualities but for whatever reason (yours is rare from what I can tell as the rest of the time these things seem to be chosen on a whim,) the person is out of bounds for a relationship, so what they do is cling onto them for the emotional support they aren't getting from whoever they're in a relationship with.
That she keeps clinging means that she's either desperate and has no alternatives to fall back on or that she's getting that support from you somehow. I suppose she might be getting something out of you listening to her, it doesn't sound like you have ever just hung up the phone on her.
It sounds like she's got a drug abuse problem but with her own brain chemicals, though I haven't dealt with anyone like that for quite awhile- so I guess this is information that could be four years underdeveloped/out of date.
